    Definitely her best body of work she has ever released. Every song has a different sound which makes the album really versatile, but it still sounds cohesive as a whole. You can also see the artistic growth from her previous works. Mature, vulnerable, sophisticated and powerful would be the best words to describe it. 10/10

    Had high hopes for the album as people where hyping it up. Listened to it yesterday and i honestly hate it. Revival is better. Some songs sound like they were rushed or the production sounded off. Wont be listening again!!

    Rare is an amazing album and truth be told she might have topped her previous album Revival. Sure she kept us waiting 4 1/2 years but it was definitely worth the wait. She turned her trauma over the past 4 1/2 years into a beautiful album. Not many people can do that. My top 3 on the album would be People you know, Dance Again, and Vulnerable. Each song thelma a different story. 10/10 album

    Selena truly shines on this album. Her voice is soothing and conveys every emotion she has gone through in the past few years. Not only is she vulnerable and incredibly open about her feelings, she is also confident and content about being in a good place in life. The collabs are also amazing. All in all, this album has a message for everyone in its entirety.

    Absolutely loved the album! There were no skips and the lyrical content was by far her best body of work. It was one of the most relatable album I’ve heard in a while and I’m so proud of all the things she has overcome.

Most of the songs sound the same and anyone could have sung them. All generic love and heartbreak songs, not an ounce of personal feeling to them.     While none of these 13 songs attempt the subtle weirdness of “Bad Liar” and the emotional thesis—self-love!—can be a bit one-note, Rare is the 27-year-old’s most cohesive record to date. ... But it’s difficult to come away from Rare with any real perspective on who Gomez is other than that she doesn’t want to be the person she was, whoever that similarly mysterious shadow was.
