    There is the important thing, it is not how long you have been in the fandom, if not knowing that his greatest inspiration was Mariah Carey and Aretha Franklin, one of his favorite genres is R&B and with this album he wanted to do things well, that's why it's a mix from the minimal r & b and pop of those golden ages.

    it's her best album. i am loving all songs and my favorite is pov and just like magic. i think the worst song is love language. the single of album is amazing and catchy. i can't wait for another music video. i also love the vocals in my hair. the collabs are perfect.

    It's one of Miss Grande's best albums. In this one she showed more of her vocal power using vocal instruments like the whisper. Notable that she also brought back R&B resources. Her lyrics show a striking power, almost all involving her sensuality and her feminine sexuality.

    pov is a masterpiece. 34+35 is such an upbeat track. off the table isn’t the strongest song she’s produced but the album as a whole has a coherent sound and message. Ariana Grande has done a phenomenal job, but did we expect any different?

She has so much fun throughout the album and sounds the happiest ever. This definitely goes down as one of, and maybe, my favorite Ariana album to date. All the critics are tasteless :/.     In instrumentals, Grande it brings to us perhaps as a mixture of his last two works, but with an undeniable essence of R&B and in    Perhaps this is undoubtedly one of the best work of, Grande (If not the best) In some parts she shows us that she doesn't need to make melodies or high notes to stand out as a vocalist, but, in contrast, at times she leaves us speechless with her vocal power.
    In instrumentals, Grande it brings to us perhaps as a mixture of his last two works, but with an undeniable essence of R&B and in some songs incredible orchestral touches. Grande proves that the only one who can harmonize with her is just her, with impeccable vocal harmonies.
    The lyrical content of the album shows us a more explicit side of Ariana that contrasts very well with everything else.
    The very well chosen partnerships further complement the album.
    For people in a hurry or who do not give due attention to the smallest details, it may seem more of the same! But it is not! Without a doubt I say that this is the best produced work of Grande. As time passes, the songs grow inside you making them even better, maybe this is one of Ariana's less commercial albums, because it doesn’t contain songs that would become instant hits like "7 Rings" "Problem" or "Thank U Next", but growing songs that demand your attention down to the smallest details.
    Without a doubt, this album cannot be left out of the list of one of the best of the year.    … Expand

    This album is great it is very cohesive, I don't particularly like the HUGE number of composers in the songs, however it is very well produced Ariana's vocals are great and the lyrics are very mature (better than thank u, next), best song is my hair (it reminded me a lot of Mariah Carey in the 2000s) and the worst is love language is not a memorable track.

Same trap/pop beats that she has used on Sweetener and TUN, the lyrics seem silly (in a bad way) and rushed. Love how she tries to take charge of her own sexuality in this album but sadly it comes of across as disingenous and childish, even with some of the most explicit lyrics I've ever heard in popBASIC and SAFE. This is by far the least adventourous and most generic Ariana album ever. Same trap/pop beats that she has used on Sweetener and TUN, the lyrics seem silly (in a bad way) and rushed.     Grande is making no effort to be discreet, instead explicitly owning her sexuality—the album is called Positions, after all. The juxtaposition of beautiful violin sounds and risqué lyrics has become one of Grande’s signature sounds, and it suits her well.

It's easy to write it off as empty calories, but pop has always been described in such terms: cake, candy, chocolate, confection. Positions isn't a "sweetener" but pure sugar.
