the whole album it feels like very bland for an artist in her category, at this point we can't just be impressed with her vocals, thats the bare minimum for her. The lyrics are so weak and doesn't have any depth aside from sex (witch isn't wrong if she wanna talk about it) but the lyrics felt very bland, one of her weakness works so far.

Not as good as her previous work, but some pretty good instrumentals and catchy tunes, makes a decent album.

Not her usually pop! It’s a new era for her and many weren’t ready. There were very little mediocre songs but there was a few. Overall an amazing album

it's not her best album, but she gave us a lot of R&B vibes, and all those trap beats only works to keep our attention in compare this album with sweetener or thank u, next.

This album is so boring, she is trying to make a R&B album, I'm really disappointed

This album is fantastic, Ariana was just BUILT for r&b and this album shows it. The balance, the way this album is organized is just magentic, it takes you on a journey. It’s a good album! From start to finish. I love the parallel lyrics from thank u next. And the pov is one of the best closers for an album! She has done it again.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It's a wonderful album, unlike anything she has ever done, the album is impeccable, a super tasty R&B, with naughty and delicious lyrics, explicit in a good way to hear, the violin beats and sounds, the extremely coordinated vocals, impeccable feats, in addition to the lyrics having feelings Expand

it's a good album, but the songs look the same. There is nothing very innovative or different on the album, it’s just that album with good songs to listen to while driving.

Every song is really good, it gives a really good vibe and good feelings. The lyrics are really well written, and the style is a mix between every project she released so far, but containes also things we never heard, really R&B and pop kind of vibes. The instumentals and the vocals let the whole thing become so dreamy but at the same time it keeps a movement that makes it perfect.
    I love

Sorry but this album is mediocre at best. This is a huge letdown from her previous tun. I was hoping for something better than this but even the collabs could not save this album.

A strong album with a few skips for me personally like "shut up" and "34+35" but also contains some of her best songs to date like "love language" "safety net" and "pov"

I'm so glad Ariana has started to experiment with other genres and clearly R&B is the genre for her. Positions is an album that showcases her vocals and musical talent beautifully.

Grande is making no effort to be discreet, instead explicitly owning her sexuality—the album is called Positions, after all. The juxtaposition of beautiful violin sounds and risqué lyrics has become one of Grande’s signature sounds, and it suits her well.

Grande laid bare may well be seen as a stopgap in her canon, using taboo to checkmate her past trauma, but it does pull off the rare feat of at least sounding effortless.

With little conflict and few psychological insights, Positions zeroes in on the enviable confidence that only pop stars on top of the world and with nothing to lose can afford. It's easy to write it off as empty calories, but pop has always been described in such terms: cake, candy, chocolate, confection. Positions isn't a "sweetener" but pure sugar.
