    I thought this album was actual quite enjoyable for the most part. I did think it needed an extra kick though, it’s an overall mediocre body of work with very few songs i’d go back to. This record didn’t really give me anything I didn’t already get from her previous album & therefore shows no real artistic growth.

    9. nasty: is a cool song. an improvement from the rest of the album. 10. west side: the intro got me. her low register is super hot. 11. love language: disco vibez. what happened at the end?

    loved it, I loved the mature woman that Ariana is by making this album. It's a pure R&B album, the sex theme throughout the album is magnificent, the vocals throughout the album are otherworldly, it's the best album of hers, everything is good.

Change your mediocre ideas because the    loved it, I loved the mature woman that Ariana is by making this album. It's a pure R&B album, the sex theme throughout the album is magnificent, the vocals throughout the album are otherworldly, it's the best album of hers, everything is good.

    Without a doubt, Ariana shows us that she knows how to master genres, R&B is hers, she can do whatever she wants with any genre, apart from her high notes and spectacular voice.

    With fluidity and consistency, Ariana Grande presents her 6th studio album, Positions. Rooting from a fun, carefree place she dives deep into her more personal desires. I find this album sonically pleasing with hints of jazz, electropop, disco, and mainly rnb. A great album for the free minded :)

    Sinto que esse álbum é uma mistura do Sweetner com Dangerous Woman. Ariana nasceu pro R&B e conseguiu executar esse gênero maravilhosamente nesse álbum. Foi inovador e deslumbrante explorando todas as melodias e composições a fundo.

    This album is unlike any music Ariana has produced and released before. Her vocals throughout the album do not disappoint and her lyrics contain so much emotion and experience. For some, if may be repetitive and it may need to grow on some, but its not like her general pop records and it introduces lots of R&B elements. This album is impeccable. A cultural reset.

    expected a lot more from ariana. the production is weak and let’s not even get into the lyrics. her vocals are great but that’s not enough to carry the album or even a single song. the ‘the weeknd’ and ‘doja cat’ features also disappointed big time.

    she stepped up with thank u, next and fell down flat with positions.

    I loved this album very much. It was a more mature and sweet album, very crisp and smooth, like no other. It is incredible the versatility of Ariana Grande in all her work and throughout her career. It is really a more refined album and without much gum pop, but for that reason it is even better and comes out of this sameness thing.

Apesar de menos maduro que o álbum anterior, thank u, next abordou superação, amor próprio e o luto, sendo o maior sucesso comercial da carreira de Ariana, suas músicas tocaram repetidamente pelo mundo inteiro e fez com que a artista se tornasse gigante nos streamings. Considerando o sucesso comercial, e todas as narrativas dos álbuns de Grande até aqui, é honesto dizer que Positions é um fracasso - pelo menos, do ponto de vista artístico -. O álbum não tem substância, não tem sentimentos, as músicas no geral são sobre sexo, mas os instrumentais não te passam essa impressão, é a sensação de ouvir 14 músicas praticamente iguais, com composições que chegar a ser vergonhosas, também não existem refrões marcantes, ou qualquer aspecto que valorize realmente os vocais da artista em questão. As melhores músicas, a faixa-título e pov, apesar de boas faixas, se perdem no meio de tantos bons títulos dos álbuns anteriores. Off the table, com a participação de The Weeknd, motive, com Doja Cat e safety net, com o rapper Ty Dolla $ing, são músicas que provavelmente conseguem um bom resultado comercial, mas não te deixam com nenhum sentimento marcante, apesar de aproveitáveis, aliás, talvez seja esse o maior sentimento que envolve positions: uma completa apatia.… Expand

DOJA CAT RUINED MOTIVE, she keeps trying to use that damn Caribbean voice but it doesn’t work on other people’s songs. I also wish she collaborated with SZA instead of ty dollar sign, not that he’s bad but SZA would just be a better choice.… Expand

    Grande is making no effort to be discreet, instead explicitly owning her sexuality—the album is called Positions, after all. The juxtaposition of beautiful violin sounds and risqué lyrics has become one of Grande’s signature sounds, and it suits her well.

    With little conflict and few psychological insights, Positions zeroes in on the enviable confidence that only pop stars on top of the world and with nothing to lose can afford. It's easy to write it off as empty calories, but pop has always been described in such terms: cake, candy, chocolate, confection. Positions isn't a "sweetener" but pure sugar.
