This is Taylor Swifts best album. I did not think she could top lover l, but she did. This album is if you take 1989 and reputation and put them together. Meaningful lyrics with a catchy tune. Well done Taylor.

I get why people like Taylor Swift. Her lyrics are clearly personal, fairly unique, and relatable for a lot of people, but not me. I don't know what it is but she almost always leaves me emotionally cold, and I am someone that regularly gets chills listening to music.

Even though she styles herself as honest, her actual performance is never vulnerable enough for me to really connect.

Production wise, it's very cool - too cool. Not varied enough for me, but it is coherent and doesn't distract from the vocals too much, so this isn't a major issue.

Karma is very very catchy, I **** love it. It's also very peppy, and plays to Swift's strengths. I enjoyed the reference to Lykke Li too.

Dress is one song that can fit into midnighTS without any significant difference. The production, the songwriting and Taylor's vocals are so matured and developed and are on another level. The fact that Taylor managed to make it as a visual album is an outstanding milestone in her career.
Kinda disappointed when lana only did backing vocals on snow on the beach, but it's okay. I'm pretty sure they collabed even more lyricwise . And, i hoping that Taylor did a song in LDR10.

We might find in Swift's artistry some semblance of the ideas set forth o long ago, forgotten by our modern critical sentiments, only to be reusrrected by a genius of such repute as to be beyond all impeachment, criticiazem, or reproach; Swift has procen herself once again to be a gods amonst montrals in the field of music making in the moder erna. Let this stand for lla time as a memorial of our generation - of our common hopes, dreams, aspirations, frustrations, ad yes, our very souls and spirits. The zeitgesit of the modern era wil be inexoribly and illimitably changed and shaped by this, Ms. Swift's greatest achievement to date.

A return to the electro pop suits Taylor well. It has been great to take a step into folk land with Taylor but it feels even better to come back to this sound.

Interesting, the aesthetic is cohesive in all the album, and she play with new sounds in her voice, new instruments like synths. But overall she could change a little the path during the tracklist in a few listening (the times most all the people liaten to) the sounds can’t be seperate one from the order and you could get loose listening to it.

Midnights is as confused as it is disjointed, it wants to be intimate and fierce but at no point does it feel like either. Instead this album feels bloated and like outtakes from previous albums. Instead this album feels bloated and like outtakes from previous albums. Taylor's voice is not showcased on this album nor is her usual coherent and highly competent writing. The production of the album oscillates between sounding over-done and completely under-done. The album reaches its very short peaks with tracks like "You're on Your own Kid" and "Mastermind" the latter whose chorus is the strongest on the album, and the former feels more epic than its worth. This album is Taylor's first "post-pandemic" album and the production is much larger than her previous two albums Folklore and Evermore, but features none of the charm or lyrical wit of the previous two. Instead this album feels like a demo version of Reputation and Lover, while lacking any of the  merits those albums had. Expand

It's an album of masterfully made dark-pop confessions laced with glitter and aspiration — a purposely erratic project that mirrors her rushing thoughts.

Taylor's best work is always her last work, and Midnights is solid proof of that. Raw, honest, piercing at times and genuinely pure fun in others. An instant classic.

This was an extremely boring album. And the fact that she's put out multiple versions of the album to up her sales makes it all feel so shallow. It's like the quality of her work isn't a priority, as long as she breaks whatever record she's going for.

It allows Swift to do what she has always wanted: make an album for its own sake that is received primarily as a work of art instead of a commercial entity or tabloid fodder.

It is very good. ... There are no major missteps within the album, although not everything works as well as the album’s brightest spots.

While her 10th album doesn’t make instant classic status like 1989, and Evermore and Folklore remain her masterpieces, it is still an understated, beguiling look into the mind of one of the biggest pop stars of our age.
