Just a beautiful masterpiece last Madonna's 14th album..... The way she undress her soul and political thoughs, remains me albums as "Like a Prayer" or "American Life"!
Truly gems included on it are "God Control", "I Rise" or "Crave"....

Thank you, Madonna, for continuing to work tirelessly. Madame X was not made for the charts, much less for specialized critics. Only those who will be pleased with another work by the only Queen are those who know all about her vast and great career. Yeah!

Un gran álbum, un álbum conceptual perfectamente hecho, ella muestra una vez más su capacidad para reinventarse.

Entendo a critca de ter varias sonoridades no album mas n acho que isso o torna ruim, é um dos melhores albuns que ela já fez.

Madonna has never been so experimental since the American Life era. Excellent album!

Disregarding the main single with Maluma (which I find crappy) the rest of the album is exceptional... Madonna delivers one of the most underrated albums of the year... She did show why she is the queen of reinvention... the album is a must listen

Madame X sees Madonna go back to experimental music, such a blend that not everyone can understand!

Masterpiece! Strong lyrics, incredible visuals, experimental and deliciously artistic sound. Extreme Occident, Looking for Mercy, God Control, Batuka e Killers Who Are Partying are the best tracks, but all the others also have their quality and space. The Queen of pop reinvented herself once more and entered her most experimental work to date.

"Madame X" is so much better than her latest efforts. Madonna's latest album is bizarre and interesting. Some choices may seem odd but in the end, everything feels coherent with the theme and her alter-ego's background story. The tour was amazing too and is complementary to this work of art, check it out!

A important critique on the world today, discussing religion, self and others. Shining a lite on intolerance and bias. Her best album yet

A great album for a great comeback. Energy and world rhythms mixed to some good old vibes directly from 70s and 90s, Madonna always knows how to tell stories and make us dance and think.

This album is at once everything I thought it would be and nothing like I thought it would be. I found myself surprised at every turn, never able to anticipate her next move. She did a wonderful job here. I find most of the criticism she has received unfair, though. Most seem to criticize her rather than the album, as if most critiques were meant to break her down. It makes sense because this album is unapologetically her, with all the things we love, and the things we hate about her. She gives us a lot to hate, honestly, but in the end, you have to admire her boldness to make these songs, most of which are an "f you" to the haters. Expand

Madame ❌ can best be described as @madonna herself said in an interview, “it’s definitely not background music”. I’d describe it as unlike anything she’s ever done but importantly unlike anything anyone has ever done. Who else has fused an album with three different languages organically flowing around! Who else has changed the tonality of their voice to convey their emotion (God ControlMadame ❌ can best be described as @madonna herself said in an interview, “it’s definitely not background music”. I’d describe it as unlike anything she’s ever done but importantly unlike anything anyone has ever done. Who else has fused an album with three different languages organically flowing around! Who else has changed the tonality of their voice to convey their emotion (God Control appears sung through clenched teeth)! Who else moves from dance music to ballads so effortlessly! Who else can put a positive spin to a gloomy world picture! Madame ❌ is many things but it’s singularly captivating. It definitely draws out a strong opinion and that has to be art! “It’s easy to be lazy & hard to get away from the crowd” “& either way my baby we’ll never be the same” so sang she in Intervention back on #AmericanLife, and seems to live by that belief even today. It’s no surprise that the producer to helm Madame ❌ is @mirwais.official who has collaborated for a third time on what can be only described as #Brilliant #Unique #Timeless #Ballsy #Badass #Art with great support from @jasonevigan @therealmikedean #Billboard! These songs will play beautifully in a theatre and I hope I can go see a show all the way from India! Until then I’ll soak in the insane magic of Madame ❌. My fav are #Crave #GodControl #ComeAlive #DarkBallet #IRise #IDontSearchIFind #FazGostoso #Batuka. The only downside to this masterpiece is the overuse of auto tune that I’m not much a fan of! @madonna thank you for doing what you do - inspiring with sheer passion n commitment to your craft. We’re better for it. Expand

Best album from Madonna in a decade. Some cringe inducing lyrics are made up for bold musical choices and for the strangeness of the concept. Love it.

In all seriousness, it's a bit bonkers. But I'll absolutely have what she's having.

A weird, raw, wild, viceral & overproduced album. A classic. Madonna presents Madame X as an extention of her different personas, each one reflected on each song. We can hear Madonna, the human, exposing her rarest thoughts and her weird vision of justice from her rich position.

The most experimental album of her entire career, maybe it's the next Ray of Light, all the sounds are unique in every way, but the collabs with Maluma it's just not my cup of tea, but everything else is a pure masterpiece.

This is a total Re-Invention, Madame X is very experimental and unique, and I love how it is a mix of emotion, from anger to love and desire of party.

Madonna has brought a pop that is of the past, but it fit the current pop. That's a surprising detail, she took every inch of the world and saw something amazing she got along with all the parts. The album is certainly one of her best.

While not vocally the best, the album does indeed make several statements and is effective in fusing global sounds with Madonna's baseline sound.

Top tracks: "Dark Ballet" is a definite highlight with its invocation of Joan of Arc, the fact that life can be painful, the culture's obsession with fame and the wrong things, and that the storm is within us, and we have to do something

"God Control" points out the loss of respect for our nation, the lack of opportunities, the fact that we need more that what we have been given in terms of reform.

"Crave" is about the addiction to love and the dangers that can happen because of it.

Other good songs: "Crazy," "Come Alive," and "Extreme Occident."

The pace plods on some mid-tempo tracks, but overall this is a personal, politically-charged mix of dark thoughts and good vibes. [Aug 2019, p.88]

Overall, Madonna’s fourteenth album Madame X feels as if Mirwais had mostly completed a decent run-of-the-mill modern pop record, albeit with a cool hotch-potch global feel; hip nods in place to fado, dub and other micro-genres dunked amongst the trap and retro disco. But then just before sign-off, Herself went through the top-lines with a sharpie. ... None of these carefully curated flourishes feel as if they truly live inside the ‘whole’ of this music. Instead it all feels plonked on top of a template.

Madonna has created this music for an audience of one: Herself. Often it works. Sometimes it doesn’t.
