    There's so much light and affection in every line Taylor writes. It makes people feel what she's feeling, and somehow that's everything. It turns out that it might be one of her greatest albums. the storyline that flows through the tracks tells a lot about Swift's storytelling skills wich basically puts herself into a brilliant baseline. "folklore" is a masterpiece like no one has everThere's so much light and affection in every line Taylor writes. It makes people feel what she's feeling, and somehow that's everything. Never expected her to drop an alternative album. Now about the album, I personally think folklore showcased Taylor's songwriting skills the best. Not only that, the absence of an upbeat production makes her vocalsIt's astonishing to see how diverse and wide Taylor's range is when it comes to genres.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Taylor's Folklore is full of surprises and many of them are wonderful. This album is her stripped-down, which may disappoint some expecting something more pop'y. Nevertheless, it is a strong addition to her discography.

    It's biggest strengths lie in the lyrical complexity, which is not a surprise to those familiar with Taylor music. She takes you on an honest journey of sadness, regret, and anxiety with riffs and runs that end in a rhyme ever-surprising and clever. Personal standout tracks that are the essence of the record are The One (heart wrenching), August (infectious), Mad Woman (lyrical brilliance), and Peace (surprising).

    Some pitfalls come from the delivery. The Last Great American Dynasty is a perfect example of a song with a fantastic theme but lackluster execution and other tracks suffer in this regard such as Mirrorball, Seven, and Cardigan. Finally, a track that should be in the top three of standout tracks but isn't is Exile. Exile probably has the best chorus on the album, but it's building is robbed not only by a very slow start but an overly-complex ending.

    Overall, a wonderful job as Taylor continues to prove to be one of the best lyricists of the generation.    … Expand

She has proven that you can make a song that is both melodically spectacular whilst having lyrics that are remarkable beyond words (something very few artists aspire to). The lyrical excellence conjures a vivid image in your head allowing you to feel like your living the stories of the characters! I think this is by far lyrically the strongest album she’s ever made. The links bettween all the songs takes this album to the next level!     No consta de una producción muy privilegiada y/o detallada y aunque para fanáticos esto les parezca muy lejos de como la conocieron al estilo "1989", "reputation" e incluso "Lover" es un avance más en composición misma que en producción y realmente al escuchar bien el álbum te das cuenta que no requiere de una sobre producción para destacar entre sus anteriores trabajos.
    No sólo vemos un riesgo para Swift sino también un punto de madurez de si misma, las situaciones por las cuales ella ha estado a lo largo de su carrera profesional o vida personal en donde haya altibajos o buenos momentos, siempre sale a flote y lo hace gracias a la música y nunca decepciona, siempre destaca como tal con cada nuevo álbum y así no sólo se refleja entre sus fans o no fans sino de igual modo en la critica.
    Es un trabajo sorprendente por el tiempo tan escaso en el cuál tardo en realizar este álbum y por eso se destaca en sus últimos respectivamente, acá ella no va sólo para realizar música para bailar sino para hacernos sentir como lo es amar, llorar, disfrutar y emocionarnos por los pequeños pero gran detalles de distintas situaciones que tenemos a lo largo de nuestra vida o que hemos vivido como tal.    … Expand

    This is one of the best cinematography albums ever. The way that Taylor Swift is painting scenes and describes feelings and emotions through her lyrics is outstanding. Every single detail in this album counts, lyrics, voice delivered, production, everything it's just phenomenal.

    O álbum é simplesmente PERFEITO, de todas formas. A acústica, sonorização e composição está impecável. A forma como a Taylor monta e narra uma história e expressa tantos sentimentos - e nós, ouvintes, os sentimos - em uma única estrofe mostra uma harmonização e amadurecimento dela própria, e isso deixa tudo ainda mais especial.

    These 16 tracks (17 on the deluxe version) play out quite pleasurably in their entirety, the joins between Swift, Dessner and Antonoff ultimately only of niche interest. But Swift’s powerful songs reach their climaxes with bittersweet orchestrations, rather than blows to the solar plexus or a ringing in the ears. Everything hovers; little truly lands.
