    This is a beautiful album! Taylor really went all out and did amazing. Each song as a unique sound and meaningful lyrics I couldn’t recommend this more.

    The Taylor Swift album that was meant to happen

    I personally think that when Safe and Sound was released as a soundtrack for The Hunger Games, Taylor Swift should do this direction after Red. While Red undeniably cemented Swift's stature as a master songwriter through deep cuts like All Too Well and The Last Time, the record still was "radio-safe" by including tracks like 22, WANEGBT, and    The Taylor Swift album that was meant to happen

    I personally think that when Safe and Sound was released as a soundtrack for The Hunger Games, Taylor Swift should do this direction after Red. While Red undeniably cemented Swift's stature as a master songwriter through deep cuts like All Too Well and The Last Time, the record still was "radio-safe" by including tracks like 22, WANEGBT, and I Knew You Were Trouble. Swift's records have always had that a couple of tracks that deviate from the entire mood of the album. (Take Call It what You want in reputation and Soon You'll Get Better in Lover). folklore in comparison is her most cohesive album yet, and her best one that highlights hr skill in writing lyrics.    … Expand

    Ethereal, introspective and soul soothing. This is genuine songwriting that goes straight to one’s soul. Some songs are truly hypnotic (My Tears ricochet just to quote one). This is Songwriting and Creativity at its highest, the stream of consciousness that led to this masterpiece is powerful and sincere. Joni Mitchell wouldn’t disagree on it, I guess. Taylor is not just 1989, Lover orEthereal, introspective and soul soothing. This is genuine songwriting that goes straight to one’s soul.     masterpiece! it's the best album i've ever heard. it's sonically, lyrically the best! always wanted her to do alternative and i'm so glad she's coming out of her comfort zone unlike the other artists in this decade. she's the woman and the artist of the decade for a reason. i hope she challenges herself like this all the time!

    folklore is unlike any album that she released. It is the album that you can nearly taste, the album that you would eat a thousand times, the words that you want to hear for the rest of your life, the feelings that you never felt before, the sounds that brings you to another dimension. folklore is beautifully written and produced,.

    This album is the best album Swift has ever put out. It is cohesively a body of work that jumps from lane to lane but still stays on the same highway production wise. But through the story telling of the lyrics the songs feel vibrant and expressive, reminding many fans of her fourth studio album “Red”. Swift’s ability to showcase a love triangle from each side through the songs “August”,This album is the best album Swift has ever put out. It is cohesively a body of work that jumps from lane to lane but still stays on the same highway production wise. But through the story telling of the lyrics the songs feel vibrant and expressive, reminding many fans of her fourth studio album “Red”. Swift’s ability to showcase a love triangle from each side through the songs “August”, “Cardigan” and “Betty” is the most incredible conceptual writing Swift has ever done. This entire album took a step back from her autobiographical style of writing and instead of writing every song from her point of view she placed herself in the shoes of others or her past self. On the track “The Last Great American Dynasty” Swift tells the story of Rebekah Harkness, the woman who previously owned Swift’s house in Rhode Island. This album’s lyricism on deep-cut tracks such as “Exile”, “This is Me Trying” and “My Tears Ricochet” show off Swift’s ability to make heart wrenching tracks without even being heartbroken, which she showed it previously on “Lover” with a track called “Death by a Thousand Cuts”. This album is a collection of deep-cut tracks and countless stories that no one has ever told. The albums fluid feeling allows for songs too feel as if they just fade into one another. For some artists this means that the songs all sound the same but the production has nothing to do with this statement. The feeling comes from Swift’s ability to write so beautifully on each track that the same energy is feels as if it is pushed onto the next track. “Folklore” is not only the best album Swift has put out, but it’s one of the best albums that has been released in a while. This album is so genre bending with its inclusion of pop sounds to folky country sounds all on just one track it is set out to be an album with songs for everyone. Though it’s ability to get radio play may be not be as high as her previous albums because it is not straight down the line pop, country or anything in-between, the album bends the rules with that as well. The song “Cardigan” has already been heard on Pop radio by many, showing Swift’s true power as not only a musical artist, but a global superstar. This album will be hard to too by other artists, but even harder for Swift to top as well.… Expand

    Absolutely stunning album as expected from Taylor Swift. Changing up her musical styles again yet retaining her own flair with well-written lyrics, she tells stories of others with soothing melodies. And such songs are what we all need for self-reflection and emotional healing in quarantine.

This surprise album came just when we needed it the most and I am not disappointed. Folklore proves that Taylor Swift is the queen of genres and that she IS in fact the music industry.     the whole album is a stretch. also bon iver's vocals is perfect for the album's atmosphere matched with taylor swift's writing. this should be an album of the year

    Folklore is the best album which Ms.Swift has created. Folklore contains lots of genres, and I can see that she had a breakthrough, where she decided to change her album genre, from pop to alternative. Besides, I have noticed that there are lots of songs that are similar to her previous ‘country’ songs. Old Taylor has come back.

    These 16 tracks (17 on the deluxe version) play out quite pleasurably in their entirety, the joins between Swift, Dessner and Antonoff ultimately only of niche interest. But Swift’s powerful songs reach their climaxes with bittersweet orchestrations, rather than blows to the solar plexus or a ringing in the ears. Everything hovers; little truly lands.
