Jul 24, 2020folklore is lyrically, vocally and overall her best album. It really showed us how Taylor grew as an artist and that she can successfully shuffle through various genres and still sound amazing.
-
Jul 24, 2020It’s hard to not see this album among the other 7 Taylor has released. It makes its claim as her best album. The story telling no artist can do. The production that perfectly admits the right emotion per track.

Jul 24, 2020Taylor redeemed herself with this record. Her storytelling is phenomenal, a lot of imaginary, she evolves you with the story from start to finish. Great songwriting. It’s very pleasant and sonically cohesive. It reads like a good book, in a rainy afternoon. It appears to me, this is her best work to this day.
-
Jul 24, 2020Lyrics 10/10

Jul 24, 2020Nothing new from taylor, the lyrics are pretty good, but the melodies ... her voice doesn't sound different, she didn't risk trying something different, she hasn't reinvented himself.

Jul 24, 2020Taylor’s new album is really something unexpected and great. It reminds of RED and I can tell folklore will become a fan favorite in no time. Swift really did a great album, with great lyrics (as usual), great sounds and it all mixes perfectly. This is the album of the year.
-

-
Jul 24, 2020Very different than usual Taylor. Lyrics on this album are phenomenal. Honestly her storytelling is amazing and better then ever. All songs are slow but I don’t mind it. I mean I’d love maybe one or two faster songs but whatever. Overall great body of work but not my favorite album by Taylor.

Jul 24, 2020i wish she got better vocal. besides, there's completely no part in the whole album that is good enough to be remembered after first time listening.
-
Jul 24, 2020Truly her best album, she took an amazing route with little-to-no mainstream pop influence and she delivered. Jack Antonoff's production once again left me surprised, he is truly one of the best producers of the generation. Definitely hear some alternative and country influences, somewhat similar to the old Taylor Swift. 10/10 Album, definitely.
-

-
Jul 24, 2020
-
Jul 24, 2020Taylor's best album to date. Folklore showcases her various talents but is top tier song writing. Stans and locals can get behind this album. Hating Taylor Swift is not a personality trait.
-
Jul 24, 2020There’s only one word to describe the eight album by the titan of pop, “folklore”: ART
-

-
Jul 24, 2020Taylor finally found her way through this album. It's raw and deep with emotions and it's a great late summer jam to listen to. It's a sure contender for album of the year. She doesn't need pop or country to prove herself. She is her own genre of music and I'm in love with it.

Jul 24, 2020Folklore, this is the best album of Taylor Swift and this year so far. Folklore is an indie album with soft sounds. Swift make this album masterpiece with Aaron Dessner, Jack Antonoff and Bon Iver. I think you should listen to this album first before you criticize.

Awards & Rankings
-
UncutAug 13, 2020It's a sharp turn to the left for Swift and a fine reminder that she is more than just a gleaming pop phenomenon, but a remarkable songwriter too. [Oct 2020, p.36]
-
Aug 7, 2020A modern-folk masterpiece which finds her moving from her previous pop bangers into stunningly simple yet sharp melodies, ‘folklore’ will be going down in Swiftie history as one of her most unexpected, and undoubtedly one of her best.
-
Aug 3, 2020These 16 tracks (17 on the deluxe version) play out quite pleasurably in their entirety, the joins between Swift, Dessner and Antonoff ultimately only of niche interest. But Swift’s powerful songs reach their climaxes with bittersweet orchestrations, rather than blows to the solar plexus or a ringing in the ears. Everything hovers; little truly lands.
