Taylor rainha do pop. Arrasou em tudo. Quer que faz tudo e não precisa de macho para se sobressair.

This is one of Taylor's best and most mature albums. The songs all together sound so cohesive, something she hasn't quite accomplished since 1989. The lyrics are so good and mature, definitely will be liked by the people that always claim they miss "the old Taylor". Also these are her best vocals!!!! She sounds so good, such a soothing voice for this new genre she's exploring. Over all,This is one of Taylor's best and most mature albums. PERFEITO. Entregou absolutamente tudo que os fãs pediram, um sucessor digno do RED. Quem disse que Taylor Swift não ia mais fazer sucesso está provando o gosto da derrota!

Taylor Swift showcases everything that makes her her, but in a way that’s inviting for even the most vocal of haters. There’s no excuses for the world to not listen to this masterpiece and they’d be hard-pressed to not fall in love. Expand

This album explore a new fresh side from miss Swift, taking us back to her starts from Fearless but in a mature way so far. The lyrics are totally great and the sound is really relaxing. Peace, Exile, Betty, My tears recochet are fenomenal.

Although I'm still in utter shock at the unexpected release of "Folklore", I am even more in shock at how well-crafted it is. Arguably, this might be Taylor's best songwriting to date. Arguably, this might be Taylor's best songwriting to date. Despite releasing some of the biggest country and pop albums in the last 14 years, Taylor has outdone herself. Although not full of her traditional anthems, "Folklore" makes up in lyrical depth, cohesiveness, and her signature storytelling. Drawing from her experiences, as well as stories of others and her imagination, Swift delivers near lyrical perfection. From references to several of her past recordings (see exile, this is me trying, invisible string, etc) to the love triangle trilogy (cardigan, august, & betty), this album is it's own story told through 16 incredible narratives. By working with Bon Iver, Jack Antonoff, Aaron Dessner, William Bowery (theories state this is actually Swift's boyfriend, Joe Alwyn), and many others, Swift was able to make one of the best, if not the best, album of the year. You don't have to be a Swiftie to recognize how truly incredible this new album is. My favorites include: the 1, my tears ricochet, exile, and epiphany. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This album is absolutely incredible to me! It shows how much Taylor has matured in both her lyricism and just as a person. The stories that she made to inspire most of the songs are heartbreaking but also relatable as a listener. When i first listened to the album, it gave me major cottagecore vibes, and all the songs paint such a vivid image even though they are stripped of all the backing tracks, etc. and just Taylor. I can guarantee that most of the songs can be put on a playlist called "sad hours" or something because it is a very different tone than most of the music that Taylor has made in the past. It really fits the tone though of our current state in the world with the pandemic. Overall this album had me almost in tears not going to lie! My top songs (which to be honest they are brilliant) are august, betty, and mirrorball. All the songs are 1000/10 in my book though. Expand

Folklore is the album 2020 needed. It captures the sublime, like a Mary Shelley novel. It's haunting, but absolutely perfect. There is artistry we know of Taylor, but it's on another level. Taylor's lyrics are haunting.

Folklore is the album 2020 needed. It captures the sublime, like a Mary Shelley novel. It's haunting, but absolutely perfect. There is artistry we know of Taylor, but it's on another level. Taylor's lyrics are haunting.

My Tears Ricochet is a piece of beauty carved out of the side of the mountain that has been Reputation and Lover. Particularly Reputation (my personal favorite TS album/era), this feels like it continues the stories, but in a softer, gentler way.

illicit affairs is a piece of beauty out of a heartbreaking situations. That album has the hook of a bridge we know and love from Taylor. The lyrics "Don't call me kid. Don't call me baby. Look at the idiotic fool you made me" have been stuck in my head.

Epiphany somehow blends Monty Python references into a song that makes me lose it as soon as the first chorus starts. Taylor has made me cry, but never like epiphany. That song is on it's own level.

betty is Taylor singing from a man's perspective. This just shows the pure artistry she has in her writing. It even sounds like something a 17 year old boy would write.

cardigan is a great lead single, probably my favorite since Tim McGraw. It sounds like the album it still has that earworm hook in the line "Like an old cardigan, under my bed."

Honestly I think this is her most solid body of work to date. I am so excited for the era of Alternative Taylor.

It's a sharp turn to the left for Swift and a fine reminder that she is more than just a gleaming pop phenomenon, but a remarkable songwriter too. [Oct 2020, p.36]

A modern-folk masterpiece which finds her moving from her previous pop bangers into stunningly simple yet sharp melodies, ‘folklore’ will be going down in Swiftie history as one of her most unexpected, and undoubtedly one of her best.

These 16 tracks (17 on the deluxe version) play out quite pleasurably in their entirety, the joins between Swift, Dessner and Antonoff ultimately only of niche interest. But Swift’s powerful songs reach their climaxes with bittersweet orchestrations, rather than blows to the solar plexus or a ringing in the ears. Everything hovers; little truly lands.
