Jul 28, 2020"folklore" is a lyrical masterpiece. It's calm, and totally different genre from the other albums Swift has created. It's perfect to listen before bedtime and at breakfast. Best album of Taylor Swift so far.
-
Jul 28, 2020Absolutely phenomenal. My favourites right now are my tears ricochet, illicit affairs, exile and cardigan, but I’m sure it’ll change the more I listen to this album. That’s the beauty of folklore - everyone has different favourites because every song is a beautiful piece of art that people connect with in different ways.

-
Jul 27, 2020Probably Taylor Swift's best album to date.....Personally I think the songwriting is still not that great, but it's better than her previous work in that regard. I'm not the demographic she is trying to appeal to so maybe it works better for other people.
I don't think it is album of the year. Few of these songs are going to last in the public conscience. But it's certainly decent..... -
Jul 27, 2020This is what Taylor needed, she needed a stripped-back album that showcased her lyric writing to the best. Now she is ready to show that is a REAL artist that can embrace any genre thrown at them. With soft mellows and smooth production, she is ready to show her emotional side (which has been done many times in the past) but for the enlightenment for critics and non-fans of her. Amazing

-
Jul 27, 2020Folklore is so beautiful and well done. Folklore is Taylor’s new album. Some songs are heartbreaking, but the songwriting is a whole new level. Each song has a story to be told. Each song, I feel transported into a storybook and watching the lyrics come to life.
-
Jul 27, 2020This Album is obviously unique than her past albums, Taylor Swift prove us that she really is THE MUSIC INDUSTRY. Im so proud that I'm a swiftie...

Jul 27, 2020There’s a different sound from an artist who like to reinvent herself step by step on each previous albums
-
Jul 27, 2020Her best album yet. Lyrically genius, beautifully composed. Different than the ones she had done on previous albums. Portrays all different kinds of emotions. This album suits in many occasions. I love you so much, Taylor Swift.

Jul 27, 2020I am having hard time deciding which of the song is my favourite; this album is sonically cohesive and lyrical masterpiece. It's the album that whole world deserves at these trying times and I want everyone to give this album a try, you won't be disappointed.
-
Jul 27, 2020Taylor’s best. These lyrics are so deep and the chords so strong. I haven’t listened to anything else since this album has been Released.

Jul 27, 2020A masterpiece
Amazing album -
Jul 27, 2020in the 14 year career of ms swift she proves that she can still put out good album and outdo herself with each release
-
Jul 27, 2020August is the best track (that's it, they wont let me post it because they want it to be 75 characters long).

-
Jul 27, 2020This is by far her most mature and deep work and probably one of her best, Taylor just came to prove what a great lyricist she is.
-
Jul 27, 2020Cohesive and a lyrical masterpiece. Production was pulled back yet tasteful.
-
Jul 27, 2020This album is way different from all previous Taylor Swift's ones. Along the 16 tracks she explores folk, indie and alternative pop styles to create probably her best album to date
-
Jul 27, 2020Ethereal, visceral, painful, beautiful. This is poetry, and Taylor Swift storytelling at its best but also like we've never seen before.
-

Jul 27, 2020Best album that saved 2020 . Unfortunately the hater rate it 0 because envy of her .Every lyrics in every song is masterpiece unlike lover rep. This is combination of safe and sound /wildest dream.
-
Jul 27, 2020Folklore may be Taylor’s best album to date. Taylor really flexed her writing skills lyrically on this album and the connection drawn between songs is incredible.
-
Jul 27, 2020So good. Easy listening. Taylor surpassed all expectations with this indie/alternative album.
-
Jul 27, 2020One of the Best Albums released by any Artist. Her best work so far whether it is Lyrics or Production or Vocals all are extremely Outstanding.
-
Jul 27, 2020I love this album I felt so much sadness even cried while listening to this album
-
Jul 27, 2020by far, this is the best album Taylor has ever made. What i truly appreciate is the fact that you can notice that it is not a commercial album and you can tell that by paying attention to the lyrics that contain pure poetry.
-
Jul 27, 2020The whole album tells a lot of stories in each track that signifies the teenage love triangle that reflects the reality nowadays. Taylor still proves that she can make an art, a whole lot different from her past masters! THE VERSATILITY!!
-
Jul 27, 2020Amazing body of work. However I wouldn't listen to this album while exercising or trying to pump you up. This album is more for music that you could put at the end of the day while your relaxing. But again, amazing body of work
-
Jul 27, 2020Brilliant Album! Only Taylor Swift can tell a story like this through her album and connect every song. The tracks flow smoothly without sounding too similar. Definetly her best lyrics out of all albums. Folklore will be on repeat for a very long time!
-
Jul 27, 2020The album has a few good tracks. Not her strongest overall. Cardigan is a weak single. Exile and The 1 are very good songs.
-
Jul 27, 2020The artistry in the record is beyond everything we've listened from Swift since she crossed over from country to pop music some years ago. Here she goes back to her roots by creating music the best way she knows how to: by herself, with minimal instrumentals and pure inspiration.

Jul 27, 2020Well... best album of her career! Creativity, sensitivity And love together
-
Jul 27, 2020Taylor presents your best version to the world: mature, introspective and profound. In her eighth album she takes a chance and gets it right with everything in the lyrical composition of Folklore. Tracks like epiphany, mad woman and exile take us for a deep dive into melodies and words. A job worthy of all the praise.
-
-
Jul 27, 2020this album is certainly one of the best albums ever written by Taylor, once again she proves to be a brilliant composer with songs with a melancholic tone, but very well written.
-
Jul 27, 2020I love how Taylor Swift wrote folklore. I love the story telling, the puzzle pieces we can arrange, the overall production. It's solid!
I am a Swiftie, and at first I thought I wouldn't like it that much because it's an all alternative album, but I loved it more than much.
I, and many more people, do think that this, the album, deserves something big. Taylor deserves something big because of this. -
-
Jul 27, 2020a simple album with boring tones and very little advance although it has the Titan of pop as a singer does not mean that everything you do is good as in the case of me! which was a generic and flat pop
-

-
Jul 27, 2020As a Taylor fan i'm so disgusted with this album. She is looking for something that already exists and she is not the best on it... we need another 1989 album.

-
Jul 27, 2020Taylor Swift appears to effortlessly tackle yet another genre, dominating the charts in a matter of days. The soft ethereal vibe and unpolished nature of the album reflects the state which it was written in through the quarantine. HISTORY IN THE MAKING.
-
Jul 27, 2020folklore is undoubtedly Taylor Swift's best album of her career. It is perfect and showcases her talents as a storyteller and talented lyricist.
-
Jul 27, 2020Beautifully written and the production is timeless. Perfect album to listen to while hiking or sitting on your porch while sipping on red wine.
-

Jul 27, 2020
-
Jul 27, 2020This album had me going through all of the emotions. It's exactly what I needed with everything going on in the world. Probably Taylor Swifts best work. The songs are so beautiful and provide a story that could honestly be turned into a novel .
-
Jul 27, 2020This album has some of Taylor’s best writing and storytelling in it. She has the ability to switch from country (Debut album to Red), to pop (1989 to Lover) and now to Alternative. She transitions her sound without it feeling forced. I think that this album will be a staple in her catalog along with Red, 1989, and Fearless.
-
Jul 27, 2020folklore is mature and brilliant, showcasing taylor’s stunning lyricism and proving once again that she’s a master of her craft.
-
Jul 27, 2020Folklore is one of the best written album by Taylor so far. The description of what's happening to each song, the melodies, the rhythms everything about it is just so good. This album goes back to her Country albums where it was written like she's telling a story.
-

Jul 27, 2020Cohesive, consistent and brilliant, Taylor shows how much grown and delivers the most mature album of her career!
-

Jul 27, 2020It's a creative album with a beautiful aesthetic. This new version of Taylor Swift is completely amazing, and I'm anxious to see what she will do in the next time.
-
Jul 27, 2020A teardrops masterpiece. Beautifully constructed, inspired lyrics that will make you feel deep emotions and put the whole album on repeat.
-
-
Jul 27, 2020This album basically shows what a real life fairytale is, stories that do not always end in a happy ending. It's such a beautiful album and I'm in awe as to how she brought to life a fairytale story.

-
Jul 27, 2020Taylor Swift released this surprise album and is the only positive thing to happen to me in 2020. Each song is like its own story with beautifully written lyrics. Some feel familiar like a different Taylor Era. Some offer a whole new feel. She is a flexible artist and has shown that time and time again. This is Taylor’s best album yet.

Jul 27, 2020This is by far her strongest songwriting album. The album sounds so different from what she has done, but she already is doing so well in this new genre! Don’t understand why some people are saying all songs sound the same because they certainly don’t. This album may not be for everyone, depending what genres people prefer, but I personally really enjoy this.
-
Jul 27, 2020the album is so beautiful , each song connecting the main story , different povs , absolutely beautiful lyrics. IT'S A MASTERPIECE!
Awards & Rankings
-
UncutAug 13, 2020It's a sharp turn to the left for Swift and a fine reminder that she is more than just a gleaming pop phenomenon, but a remarkable songwriter too. [Oct 2020, p.36]
-
Aug 7, 2020A modern-folk masterpiece which finds her moving from her previous pop bangers into stunningly simple yet sharp melodies, ‘folklore’ will be going down in Swiftie history as one of her most unexpected, and undoubtedly one of her best.
-
Aug 3, 2020These 16 tracks (17 on the deluxe version) play out quite pleasurably in their entirety, the joins between Swift, Dessner and Antonoff ultimately only of niche interest. But Swift’s powerful songs reach their climaxes with bittersweet orchestrations, rather than blows to the solar plexus or a ringing in the ears. Everything hovers; little truly lands.
