    I found a home in this new album. Taylor really knows how to write good and intimate songs. Some of her best lyricism comes from songs like exile and my tears ricochet. This album is filled with nostalgia, love and heartbreak, one of if not the best, albums of her career.

    Definitely a new side of Taylor. A much more calm and mature album. Definitely not as upbeat as her other albums and we appreciate the change. It shows her versatility as an artist.

    In fact i was worried that tay finished folklore in such a short time would influnence its qulity however proved unnecessary. tay still impresses fans with her fabulous capability of writing lyrics.     Folklore is about the story-telling, the narrative, the characters and the lyricism. Swift took her a brave step to switch her genre from pop to alternative just like how she did in her 1989 era. This album can be described as a story-telling movie with songs acting as scenes in a movie. This is why its called folklore, it is the best album taylor has released up to date

    These 16 tracks (17 on the deluxe version) play out quite pleasurably in their entirety, the joins between Swift, Dessner and Antonoff ultimately only of niche interest. But Swift’s powerful songs reach their climaxes with bittersweet orchestrations, rather than blows to the solar plexus or a ringing in the ears. Everything hovers; little truly lands.
