    i love how some songs connect to eachother and have parallels, the production is so beautiful and pretty it feels like it's taking you somewhere else. taylor swift is such a talented songwriter, she blows my mind everytime she releases new music.

    It's absolutely brilliant. During these hard times, this album has helped me keep my sanity. It's one of the those albums which are best listened to alone. After watching the "folklore : the long pond studio session", my appreciation for the album has increased 10 folds. Few of my favourites from this album are "Cardigan", "this is me trying", "mirrorball" and "hoax". I love it so much.

The song trilogy (cardigan/august/Betty) stands out to me because no other contemporary singer-songwriter has attempted to do a song trilogy like it. I became serious about listening to Taylor’s music after “Lover” was released and received overwhelmingly positive reviews. While “Lover” was a highly successful album, “folklore” shows that Swift is maturing as an artist and thinking more introspectively in her lyrics.… Expand

The lyrics are so magnificently written, it’s shocking how instantly it touches listeners just on the first play. However, there is more to this exceptionally, arguably flawless LP. As many have pointed out, Swift’s lyricism is quite different from her previous albums coming out of the 2010s. Artists in the contemporary music scene are constantly trying to change their image and sound. It is not atypical for someone like Swift to escape back to her nostalgic, euphoric, and aesthetically pleasing folk sound of the early to late 2000s. At first glance, ‘Folklores’ tracklist is what you would expect from a traditional Taylor Swift album. Though, as you delve deeper into the meaning of distinct songs and the lyrics associated with them, a narrative of love, loss and female empowerment starts to unveil itself. What is so captivating about ‘Folklore’ is not only the way Swift involves herself in and out of the album, but how she symbolises many narratives through a set of specific, beautifully crafted songs.… Expand

Realmente se extrañaba que Taylor escribiera canciones con este nivel de detalle. Sus anteriores álbumes como Lover, Reputation, 1989, se vieron muy afectados en sus líricas por intentar mezclar su estilo con el pop. Pero con este álbum queda claroMe pareció excelente este álbum muy diferente a cualquier otro que haya hecho. Es muy tranquilo y lleno de letras muy interesantes y profundas.     These 16 tracks (17 on the deluxe version) play out quite pleasurably in their entirety, the joins between Swift, Dessner and Antonoff ultimately only of niche interest. But Swift’s powerful songs reach their climaxes with bittersweet orchestrations, rather than blows to the solar plexus or a ringing in the ears. Everything hovers; little truly lands.
