    Taylor Swift surprise-released an entire album but to no one’s surprise is another triumph - just like any other thing she does, no matter how new it is - even exceeding the quality that she’s ever done before.     This album perfectly encapsulates the intricacies of life. The lyricism feels like it’s something straight out of Taylor Swift’s complex mind. I love how the album sounds so cohesive, Moreover I respect Taylor a whole lot more for being brave enough to change from pop to alternative. Folklore is arguably her most mature album to date. It’s perfect!

    I have been waiting 8 years for a folk-pop album from Taylor ever, since she released Red. I know a large part of her fanbase was hoping for a return to the more muted and lyrical stylings of Red and Speak Now. So wonderful that she delivered. More so, this album is more amazing than I could ever have imagined. I hope she continues down this path of continually evolving her music.

    In my opinion, this is Taylor Swift at her very best. This is the record I've been waiting for her to make ever since she made the leap to pop. The main focus of this album are beautifully crafted lyrics and storytelling, which are met with a fitting production that doesn't overshadow but enhances them.

    These 16 tracks (17 on the deluxe version) play out quite pleasurably in their entirety, the joins between Swift, Dessner and Antonoff ultimately only of niche interest. But Swift’s powerful songs reach their climaxes with bittersweet orchestrations, rather than blows to the solar plexus or a ringing in the ears. Everything hovers; little truly lands.
