Grandaddy's Moogy, moody music still sounds like ELO as HAL-9000. [Oct 2005, p.137]
  2. Zilla delivers a cleverly orchestrated junket of joyful raucousness and synth whirls.
  3. Under The Radar

A rare EP that feels more like a full-length release with the filler trimmed. [#11, p.117]

Both spectacularly riotous and deliciously bittersweet. [Nov 2005, p.112]
  5. A mixed bag of bouncy, speed-fueled pop songs and spacey neo-psychedelia flooded with waves of synthesizer.
  6. Uncut

    An essential half-term report. [Nov 2005, p.94]

Less produced and certainly less poppy. [#17, p.97]

i like this a lot because it harkens back to their "under the western freeway" days. i am glad they got rid of some of the polish.

I really enjoyed this little treat from one of my favorite bands. A great teaser for a new album early next year. I will admit that they I really enjoyed this little treat from one of my favorite bands. A great teaser for a new album early next year. I will admit that they really don't uncover any new territory here, they may even step back a little, but that only makes me remember why I fell in love with Grandaddy in the first place.
