As much as I love folklore, Evermore is better. The intricacies in the lyrics are exquisite. At this point no one can deny Taylor is one of the best lyricists of our generation.

But it’s not to similar that It feels like we’ve already heard it all. No body, no crime is a total new world that Taylor has just wondered upon that not many other artists would dare to write about. Champagne problems is another piece that most artists would never think of writing about. Yet another perfect album added to Taylor’s discography. Expand

She created this album step by step showing off her songwriting and storytelling skill . The single "Willow" carry the whole Album . Not only "Willow" but also the rest of the songs take me to whatever she want to take me .This goes without saying "She is growing showing us her better skills Expand

Taylor's isolation has led her into a whole new perspective in her songwriting process, and the result is amusing. The joy and motion that this album brings is evermore magical.

Just why on earth is she trying so hard to appease indie crowd ? It is bluntly clear in both folklore and evermore that dessner and antonoff have done the entire instrumentals and she just added her corny lyrics over them like "dancing in your Levi" "salt air and rust on your door"(yes thats what a rich girl thinks we poor people notice) "love you to the moon and Saturn"(for rhyming sake)Just why on earth is she trying so hard to appease indie crowd ? "We will move to India"(didn't her mother disallow her from visiting third world countries lol Also does she think India is some romantic place?) Her lyrics have come off as so irritatingly pandering at all times to me that I cannot help being salty about it now. They are basically middle class cliches from a rich white girl. Disingenuous. Another absolutely wonderful album from Miss Swift. Taylor is so amazing at drawing imagery and narratives, one of my favorites being No Body, No Crime, a collaboration with HAIM about infidelity and murder. Taylor has such a way of creating magic with lyrics and melodies and this album is a perfect example of that. A musically complex and lyrically genius album. Swift has done it again. She has outdone folklore and created her best body of work. Some highlights are gold rush; 'tis the damn season; no body, no crime; dorothea; champagne problems; and the absolutely heart wrenching tolerate it. long story short, closure, willow, and ivy are among the best of the album.

With evermore Taylor proves once again what a magnificent songwriter she is. In comparison to folklore evermore is slightly more up-beat but sill soul-stirring. Just amazing!

This is legitimately another breath of fresh air, as is with folklore. It, indeed, is its sister. The older, more mature one.

This surprise album felt like even more of a surprise than folklore...an absolutely amazing and necessary album whose era I was not willing to let go of. Until evermore. This album is a lyrical masterpiece, beautifully crafted, with a few returns to country Taylor and pop Taylor.

It is without question a wintering record, but out of this muted musical landscape songs of great and complex beauty emerge. [Mar 2021, p.34]

Even though we get a catchy moment of goofy, snarling country midway through, the album is a result of the emotional clarity that a year in quarantine provided. Swift has written about curdling relationships splendidly in the past, but there's a new dimension to her writing that wasn’t there before. Onward.

The pandemic seems to have freed her, given her the space to breathe, and has allowed her to produce her most elegant and sophisticated work to date.
