I did not expect this album at all! She just released folklore in July. But I am actually happy she did. This actually is beautiful lyrically and sonically. Tracks like no body, no crime and 'tis the dam season stand out as songs that show Taylor's versatility and songwriting skills. Amazing album.!

Well, she has done it again, I wonder how it feels to release 2 albums in 5 months and both of them are so good and critical acclaimed, no one is doing it like her. Congrats Taylor!

Absolutely amazing. In my opinion, Swift should've publish the evermore first, then folklore. Evermore sounds like an autumn album and folklore sounds like a winter album.

I cried 2 times while listening to the album and another few times my eyes were full with tears. This album has really deep meanings and can really reach the deepest depth of one’s heart.

Her best thus far, undoubtedly a no-skip album. Feels like folklore's more mature (but younger) sister. Amazing storytelling in her lyrics as well as references to folklore and past music, manages swiftly to create eventful narratives while making the songs enjoyable and catchy.

While Folklore witnessed Taylor Swift switching gears, diving into uncharted waters and emerging victorious; Evermore is Taylor Swift comfortably experimenting, with more vocalists, instruments and the alternative-rock genre; while being tied to the former album through recurrent plot lines.

Taylor calls Evermore her preceding album's ''sister record'' and the bloodline is clearly established with story lines travelling through Folklore and into Evermore. For instance, 'Willow' picks up right where 'Cardigan' left; and shows the protagonist finally getting a happily-ever-after with the love of her life after following a thread of gold. (an "invisible string" reference)

"Champagne Problems" resonates of a relationship ending with 2 people on completely different pages, while 'Ivy' screams infidelity and loving someone ignoring all the warnings. This album too reeks of heartbreak and a feeling of loss, embodied by 'Folklore' as well.

There are new themes of course-"No Body, No Crime" based on vengeance and murder being one fine example. Taylor also pays homage to her grandmother 'Marjorie' akin the track 'Epiphany' on Folklore which was a tribute to her grandfather.

While experimenting with the alternative genre of music, Taylor doesn't stray too far away from her roots- both the country music and pop genres are revisited through songs like 'Dorothea' and 'Gold Rush'. The portraits are carefully painted through songs and linked together in this album as well.

Evermore is beautiful, serene and wonderfully crafted; and should not be overshadowed by its elder sister, because, both of them, though born from the same mind; are completely different in many ways too- like monochrome or screaming colours; or summer and winter.

Taylor Swift re-establishes the fact that she indeed is an amazing lyricist and one of the best music artists of the century. ❤️✨

One of Taylor Swift’s most lyrically efficient and melodically pleasing albums to date! A journey that demands your attention for a reunion of stories told to you like that of a good friend. Just as she dives deeper, she rises, replacing previously expected falls. It’s almost as if Swift transcended a coffin of limitations. Recognizably newer, she sings as though she’s on the cusp of her greatest adventure yet. She continues to show us why she is the greatest songwriter working today, arguably ever. Expand

No words can do this album justice. Folklore was outstanding and evermore is going neck to neck with folklore and gets better every time I listen to it. If there’s a song you don’t like, it will grow on you. Great lyricism, great storytelling, chill vibes yet depressing. Great overall. Give it a listen, you won’t regret it.

Even though we get a catchy moment of goofy, snarling country midway through, the album is a result of the emotional clarity that a year in quarantine provided. Swift has written about curdling relationships splendidly in the past, but there's a new dimension to her writing that wasn’t there before. Onward.
