    Her best album to date. This album was definitely the right step for Demi's comeback. A small number of mediocre tracks but easily covered by all the great ones! Collaborations were well chosen and the whole album is sung amazingly. Demi told her story the way she wants it and that's the only narrative that matters. The lighthearted, fun songs are good laughs but definitely needed betweenHer best album to date. This album was definitely the right step for Demi's comeback.     The preludes are very emotional but when you start from the intro, everything's will be so great. This album is all about rebirthing, you'll really enjoy every single track and got emotional for some tracks. ALL IN ALL 10 OUT OF 10. Listen to this album and have a one hour great experience.

The ethereal dream pop concept album is surely one of her best and most cohesive projects. It successfully highlights her long and gut wrenching journey the last 4 years, with emotive lyrics and expressive melodies.     Excellent from start to finish. The lyrics, vocals, production, cohesion all tell a story, and tells is well. This album will be enjoyed not only by fans, but people who have not really listened to Demi. The best tracks first listen are “Met Him Last Night” “Easy” and “Butterfly”

    I am so glad that Demi found herself and choose to tell her story through her art and music. The lyrics of the whole album prove that Demi is one of the best song-writes in the industry along side being one of the best vocalists and singers of all time. This album deserves a Grammy for sure!

The slow songs were still captivating, evoking emotions and empathy you weren’t aware u had. Each song took u on a different journey, using every asset of her disposal to convey her journey: lyrics, melody, production, range, tone and dynamics. Despite being a relatively raw artist, this album took rawness too the next level, sending the listener on an rollercoaster of pain, regret and repentance.

    Through her anguish, Demi carves a new kind of pop she describes as “ethereal dream pop”, showing off a sweeter, more delicate range versus the heavy belts from her previous bodies of work. It’s obvious her vocals have gone next level while remaining relatively tame for her style of singing. Nonetheless, she wasn’t afraid to still show she had the range with money notes in both the title track and her collab with peer and friend, Ariana Grande, lending her vocals and writing chops to “I Met Him Last Night”, the albums next hit single.

    All in all we got to see the worst and most raw side of Demi while also witnessing her growth, both humanly, as an artist and as vocalist.    … Expand

    She kinda surpassed my expectation, while there are some points that it gets a little boring but the vast majority of the album is great and even the boring points at least fit the concept so I can look past that.     We waited almost 4 years for this album, but it was worth it because it's a MASTERPIECE. The sounds, the production, the lyrics, the vocals, everything. This is the most honest and raw album I have ever heard. She's the best herself now, she truly lives her best life and she finally makes that kind of music what she wants and loves.     This album combines different sounds which surround you and make you travel to a world apart. In addition, Lovato is not only satisfied with transmitting her emotions, but also her desire to dance openly with songs like "Met Him Last Night" along with the excellence of pop Ariana Grande, or the collaboration with Saweetie, "My Girlfriends Are My Boyfriend".

Not only she allows listeners to uncover her true self, but she's also showing how life is not about reaching perfection because what really matters is living the process and enjoying every peace of it.     A masterpiece! Demi is being so true to herself in this beautiful piece. She's shown what she's capable of. She's so versatile and I love this ethereal dream pop jewel.

    The opening three tracks are almost an EP in their own right, before a quick reset. Semi title track ‘The Art Of Starting Over’ begins anew, a straight forward bop that gets to the root of Demi’s recovery – her natural talent, her ear for pop magic, affording room for personal renewal.
