    Here comes Demi again trying her best. But she fails again. I get it she’s been through some tough times we all have but her milking this overdoes is sick. The only song on this album worth a listen is the one with Ariana and even that one is so repetitive. Noah Cyrus sounds good on her feature but still trash.

    Somehow she managed to combined all the good parts of her previous works in one album. Her vocals are so clean, the lyrics represent all that she've been trough and the production make all seem very cohesive. A true story teller. Great album!

    It was an OK album. But the track list was too long, too many songwriters in this project (so it lacked some emotions in the lyrics), and she was oversinging in some songs that took away the emotions she wanted to express. I prefer the documentary a whole lot better

    demi lovato's seventh album that was expected for almost 4 years did not sin at all. the album starts at its lowest point with anyone and continues to tell the demi story over the past few years. with a mix of light, dancing songs, powerful ballads and songs that make you reflect on life, this is the best demi lovato album and certainly one of the best of the year so far.

    Demi Lovato took a leap with this album. She got it literally right. She left several important messages in all of her songs. She got every song right, literally. The feats are too perfect and the singer's vocals are divine. I venture to say that this is her career album. She nailed it and showed it was here to stay. It surprised me in every way. I loved it so much!

It started with Anyone, which is about her darkest days before her accident. Then she admitted that she was Dancing With The Devil, which could be a metaphor for drugs and alcohol. But it could also represent her struggle with herself, the devil is in her since she was a child. After the accident, she was temporarily blind during the medical treatment in the ICU. Madison, her sister is always her beloved one. It broke everyone’s heart when she wasn’t able to see her sister’s face after she woke up. The Intro is what it is about, introducing the audience her new world. Even though she had screwed up too many times since she appeared in this industry, she wasn’t afraid to rise up again and again, maybe this is The Art of Starting Over of her. At the past, she was so obsessed with love, it’s hard to see her not getting into a relationship for a least a while. But now she finally understands that everyone is the Lonely People, who’ll die alone. The songs like The Way You Don’t Look At Me, Melon Cake and What Other People Say are talking about how she was struggling with other’s expectations before. The interesting part is, there is Met Him Last Night in the middle of that part, which I believe it’s related with her drug issue. In fact, it wasn’t talking about the one in 2018, but the most recent one that she had admitted in the documentary. Then Carefully and The Kind of Lover I Am are telling us she always deserves love. After that, it’s the whole different side of love, which’s talked in Easy and 15 Minutes, it’s just because there’s always hate and tears after a heart was broken. Then it comes to the most savage song My Girlfriends Are My Boyfriend, the only comment for this song is ‘Yea! We don’t have to judge her, this is her life, her choice and her joy.’, after years of being with toxic people, all she needs right now is to stay with the people who let her feel joyful and safe, the gender will never be a matter. Then, there is a cover Mad World which might be about her feeling towards the criticism towards her all these years. And Butterfly, I believe this is a song dedicated to her birth father. Lastly, California Sober and Good Place is representing how she feels right now. As an audience, it is satisfying to see her with a happy ending. Sonically, the vibe of this album is more chilling. Her voice is in a new other level. No one forced her to sing songs with dozens of high notes anymore, she just placed all those high notes in the good place perfectly. She wasn’t in a competition, she expressed what she wants and in where she wants. This is her best album, period!… Expand
