    Well the new nick lowe sounds exactly like the last three albums he's released. He sounds old, so the album of the title is appropriate. An overrated album, i'm a big fan of old school nick lowe and rockpile but this album is nothing like the nick lowe we all love and adore. The main problem is that at the time of jesus of cool and his albums released early in his career is the Well the new nick lowe sounds exactly like the last three albums he's released. The main problem is that at the time of jesus of cool and his albums released early in his career is the production. The production on those old albums were modern sounding for the time, this albums sounds as if it was recorded back in the 70's and offers nothing new to a modern listener. His songwriting is also over cynical and not as enjoyable as his old stuff. His lyrics are playful but the lyrics don't match the somber tone and "mature" sound the record. Expand
