This movie is one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. The plot is boring and the ending is terrible. I had to create an account just to express my hate for this movie.

When the real owners return (Jesse Plemons & Lily Collins), things go expectedly wrong. However, this is not a gripping home invasion thriller. Although there are a few mildly tense moments early on, the film turns into a civilized, somewhat intellectual political talkfest. The actors can handle the dialogue and the conflict, but this drains any hope of tension. The overwrought, heavy-handed music harkens back to suspense dramas from the 50s, but it distracts, instead of adding to the apprehension. Things pick up when something finally happens and it's not what's expected, but the talky tour to get there dilutes the film's hoped-for compelling effect. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. If the point is a metaphor for modern feminism, id be shockingly surprised, but the point still stands. The biggest loser wins. That is typical of our society. This movie would have you believe that the woman is the hero...she's not. The rich guy? Sure, he's an **** but he did come by his wealth honestly. It just made him a bigger **** than he probably already was. The bum? He at least tried to have some agency and gain the same advantage; wealth. The poor gardner was just a working guy trying elevate his work beyond just money and get some appreciation. She was just a mooch. She married well and for money, but would have you believe that she's a victim. She could have just gotten a job, but instead she went for the brass ring and a golden payday. Yet instead of coming to terms with who she is, she just held her husband in so much contempt she was able to murder him. She is the biggest villain here. Ironic that the rich **** tried to save them all in the best possible way, but she blamed him not just foer failing, but for the whole situation. I guess we were supposed to root for her? Expand

A fantastic Hitchcock style thriller. The performances are excellent. Don't watch a trailer, just jump in and enjoy this 90 minute masterpiece.

A well made Covid production, I think maybe the ending twist/motivation was a little too easy to predict. Wonderful cinematography.
