This is Noah Baumbach's finest work to date, covering BIG, massively appealing themes spanning youth, middle age, retirement, and how creativity works inside one's own self and how that translates to the love one gives or takes in their immediate circles of friends, family, and lovers. This movie has a very modern and fresh plot that will not bore anyone. The way Ben Stiller, Naomi Watts & Adam Driver carried this film, results as a funny and great little movie to watch. Overall, a great film to watch with your partner & friends.

A middle aged couple, stuck in a rut, hook up with a younger trendier couple and start to worry that life may have passed them by. Baumbach writes and directs with the familiar feel of Woody Allen, but unfortunately he hasn't managed to write characters that are in any way relatable. While another take on hipsters from Baumbach himself, While We're Young plays with familiar themes that are sparked by a high energy couple (Adam Driver and Amanda Seyfriend) and a peculiar look at documentary cinema.

Good acting by Naomi Watts and Charles Grodin. But, I could not figure out if I was watching a comedy or a drama. Too many themes and they unfold too slowly. In my opinion It's a bad Woody Allen impersonation.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. To see the critics rating of this movie tells me that Ben Stiller is flavor of the month and they will do anything to kiss his rear end. The last good movie he was in was "Dodgeball." This piece of cinematic drivel is any bad Stiller movie to add to the list. Watts sleepwalks through her role and the two younger main actors can't. When throwing up is one of your main plot points, its time to rethink your script.… Expand
