Director Paige Goldberg Tolmach, victim Guerry Glover and many other anonymous student lead the fight against sexual abuse and scandal that had been occurring at their alma mater, Porter- Gaud and many other Charleston schools for years. How did he get away with it for so long? "What Haunts Us" creatively depicts the pain and suffering many felt at the hands of their fellow coach, Eddie Fisher. The search for closure and safety for future generations pushes the victims to speak out against the violence with archived interviews from both side of the story. A must see for fans of the 2015 Academy Award winner for Best Picture, "Spotlight." I recommend this film for those who love uncensored documentaries about the search for justice.… Expand

What Haunts Us was a heart-wrenching, haunting documentary touching on the real life fear and struggles of sexual predation in a community who does not wish to accept its presence. The director of the film, Paige Tolmach, was formerly a student at Porter Gaud School and has to come face-to-face with past events that have haunted both her and her classmates over the years. Paige Tolmach’s involvement and close-to-home perspective on the case and the school make this documentary especially chilling, really emphasizing that we are surrounded by people like Eddie Fischer whether we know it or not. What Haunts Us is an extremely important film in the dialogue surrounding abuse in today’s society.… Expand

Paige Tolmach's What Haunts Us delves into the world of school scandals and uncovers chilling details about Eddie Fischer's grip on the children of the Porter-Gaud School. Tolmach creates a conversation around an important issue, speaking out for those who can't. When Tolmach interviews people who were abused by Fischer, audiences get to see the damage he caused and how it has affected their entire lives, even into adulthood.
