Still good, family fun. We ain't no die-hard Marvel fans but we still were able to enjoy it and have good laughs all throughout.

If my kids love it, then I love it too. I actually like this kind of Thor more as he is much more kid-friendly.

The two earlier Thor films had a more "godlike" tone to them. Why not keep that and use it with the third one? This is a huge downgrade for Thor

Thor is a funny guy, yes, but he is not in any way childish. I'm disappointed because I really did enjoy his brand of humor in the other Avengers films.

Despite the many negative reviews surrounding the humor in this film, I was surprised to see that I actually liked it! It's still not that good of a film but once you get into the story, it could be enjoyable.

Alright it looks like Thor finally is done with all that stiff, royalty thing and is now free to do his own thing. Sounds good to me!

Really entertaining movie. In this movie Thor is a very amusing character and it changes the movie a lot. There's a lot of action everywhere. I really recommend it.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Thor: Ragnarok is a franchise saver and redeemer after its two predecessors. Seconds in the movie already has a completely different feel from the two that came before it, and this difference is a huge breath of fresh air and makes the movie far more enjoyable than the two that came before it. Hemsworth is at the peak of his comedy, Loki has a great character arc, Hulk is a welcome face and Korg and the Grandmaster are scene-stealers. Hela is a far more powerful, intimidating and convincing villain than Malekith was, and she’s a formidable foe to our heroes. Ragnarok perfectly balances comedy with sadness and seriousness and goes a great job of not squandering it’s A-list lead and supporting cast as it gives every substantial character moments to shine. There are a few nice callbacks to previous MCU installments, but the thing about this movie that stands out is how entertaining it is considering that the stakes are decently high. Ragnarok is a movie that wants to have as much fun as possible considering its premise, and it succeeds in doing so in every regard. It delivers in every way that fans would want for a third installment, but it also fundamentally changes the Thor franchise and takes both it and the character in new directions that they badly needed. The mid-credits scene nicely and smoothly ties the movie back into the bigger universe and timeline with disrupting the flow of the movie. Thor: Ragnarok is a must-see for fans of the characters and viewers looking for some good entertainment and a lot of laughs. Expand

The 2 best Marvel films since 2008 in 1 year? It is true. Infinity War and Ragnarok. Ragnarok is funny as **** has great characters, those who maybe don't have so much background, so much emotional depth, or connection, but they're just GREAT to laugh at! And when the connection is there, yes, Thor & Loki's duo is fricking hilarious, they had the greatest moments in the film, even though this also had the worst villain ever EVER, just like Doctor Strange had, but while in that movie it was irritating, and the story was built around him, in Ragnarok, I just didn't care. The previous 2 were meh films, but the weirdest in all is that the trilogy's most non-mythological movie expands the most in its characters, Asgard, but, oh, wait, it also has the most creative bypass-sequence I've ever seen. Sakaar's folks, the Grandmaster, the Contest of Champions, all those little jokes, I love Waititi's style, the mix of the trash superhero movies, boring American comedies, and also some artistry, at least in the visuality, and its, sometimes unconventional techniques in storytelling. GOSH, need to watch it 1000000000000000000000 times again. Huh, lucky, cuz in Sakaar, time is not passing that fast. 7.75-8.25 level Expand

Finally a good Thor movie I like how it took Thor down a peg and had him realize that even someone like him can struggle or get beaten.

An enjoyable superhero action movie. Most of the jokes land. The movie knows when to be serious and when to be a comedy. Something you can't say for other Thor movies. It's the best Thor movie and one of the best MCU movies.
