This is The best sci-fi movie in China. You can say
It’s China Government Show, but which Hollywood movie did not show American Spirit? Don’t be childish!

Didn't have too high of expectations, but indeed turns out to be much better than I thought, a better movie than the first one of the series. Funny how the only negative review with a comment right now describes it as CCP propaganda of ChinaDidn't have too high of expectations, but indeed turns out to be much better than I thought, a better movie than the first one of the series. Funny how the only negative review with a comment right now describes it as CCP propaganda of China and Russia saving the world (just like how some certain propaganda media describes it to be)while in both movies of the series, it has always been every one of all countries united together saving the world(you can watch the first one of the series in Netflix btw). Since this is a Chinese movie unfortunately there will be more reviews/comments based on the bias on "China Bad" instead of the movie itself. So even though I am writing this review but I do suggest if you are interested in the movie, instead of looking for the comments/reviews, it's better just to watch it and decide what kinda movie this is yourself.

I do recommend checking analyze of the movie if you can after you watch it though, the story is rather complex, and I think probably most people will miss at least some details of what happened in the movie after the first time they watch it… Expand

This second film of The Wandering Earth series can only be described as EPIC. I mean, it is, by far, the greatest hard-core Sci-fi movie in the past decade and will go down in history. The idea that humanity would unite as one and endure 2500This second film of The Wandering Earth series can only be described as EPIC. I mean, it is, by far, the greatest hard-core Sci-fi movie in the past decade and will go down in history. The idea that humanity would unite as one and endure 2500 years, 100 generations, before finding a new home in the Proxima Centauri system as our very own Sun go through a helium flash is purely remarkable, and this film further expands on people’s struggle and faith as such a bold decision is made. The CGI are also spectacular - the Space elevator was breathtaking and absolutely astonishing. Looking at their behind-the-scenes, a majority of the set and props were actually built rather than purely using CGI, which creates a more immersive experience for the audience.… Expand

Great sci-fi movie. The collectivism showed in the movie really moved me. Only human beings can save themselves, not super heroes, not iron man, not American Captain.

Hey, don't care about who created it. Just as a Sci-fi movie fan, enjoy it, the film recalled me the Star War 1-3, people unite and against the fate.

If you have the oppotunity to enjoy it in IMAX cinema, you'll love it. The bomb on the moon, the space elevator, the fallen space station, the music, everything is so cool. I really want to go back and watch the film again just after I finished it.

There's almost no verbose elements in this 170 minutes film, the only moment which you can go to the toliet is the 2 mins Liu peel an apple to her wife, take the chance.

Our future is the galaxy, don't focus on the arguments between the countries, we, human, should spot outside our planet.

Excellent movie - didn't think it's possible but the sequel outdid the original! Much grander stage and extended backstory compared to the Wandering Earth 1, worldbuilding and sci-fi at its finest. The movie started off slow and appears to be incoherent, but it all comes together in the 3rd act of the movie and it is a worthy prequal and ties up superbly to the first movie, which was a great watch aswell. This is not your typical space battle laser guns sci-fi movie. This has a far more intelligent storyline that makes you think how future human civilization and its technology can turn out be and what humanity as a whole is capable of doing in order to survive. It provided great concepts as what space colonization and artificial intelligence can do. It's a disaster movie on an epic grand scale like we haven't seen before, it's basically a space opera, with a Night Shymalan type of plot twist at the end.… Expand

this gives a new meaning to sci-fi. I like how it's not like a big superhero; the other people are nobodies, but everyone plays a part. this movie is like a 3 in 1. the engineers, scientists, and politicians. they could be separate but addthis gives a new meaning to sci-fi. LMAO these negative reviews be like "USA saves the world good good, China saves the world bad bad". If all you see from the movie is "CCP blahblahblah" then YOU are the one that has been brainwashed.

Compared to avatar 2, the overall story and storytelling of this movie are superior. But the visuals certainly are not as stunning. If avatar 2 is rated as 6, this would be a solid 8.

I absolutely loved The Wandering Earth 2! Chinese sci-fi films have really improved so much in the last few years. Much better than Hollywood ones.

This is not your typical space battle laser guns sci-fi movie. I thought the first one was good, the 2nd one hit it out of the ball park! Wish Holyoke had made movies like this, well written both in character and story. The back story involving WuJing character in the 1st one was really touching. TheI thought the first one was good, the 2nd one hit it out of the ball park!
