From the way this story unfolds in the first part, I really believed The Trip would be a sharp and poignant black comedy, and it was to a degree.

I mean, a story where a married couple tries to kill each other sounded quite interesting.From the way this story unfolds in the first part, I really believed The Trip would be a sharp and poignant black comedy, and it was to a degree.

I mean, a story where a married couple tries to kill each other sounded quite interesting.
However once the violence and the abundant blood make their appearance along with other characters, the film falls apart completely.

That happens when your premise, however basic it may be, is more intelligent than the execution that you can provide.… Expand
