This film is awesome on every level. It captivated me from start to finish with its humour, engaging story and incredible special effects. I give this movie 11 because is over the top and the top is 10.

Seriously though... i'm right, i checked with my teacher, 11 is higher then 10. I'm 7 years old (not really but i can't count so i don't my real age, i have to ask someone) andI give this movie 11 because is over the top and the top is 10.

I'm 7 years old (not really but i can't count so i don't my real age, i have to ask someone) and i would like to thank the director -i heard by some that he is my age, i'm also a 7grader, i think- for making a rated 11 -over the top 10, checked- brilliant, funny, overrated (by me because 11 is more then 10) and sentimental (i cried when a certain character died hint1: it was in the beginning hint2: it was the bird) comic book movie. Rated 11 by me. I'll repeatedly watch this until i grow old and bitter like a lot of people here, same people who know the director age.

I have to go to bed now is almost 8pm, i'll watch the movie again tomorrow.

This film is AMAZING! Easily one of the best comic book films I've ever seen. Things that I liked:
You never know which characters are going to make it or die, so there is genuine tension and surprise throughout the movie.

You never know which characters are going to make it or die, so there is genuine tension and surprise throughout the movie.
The plot is fast paced and engaging. I was engaged immediately and stayed that way till the end. There are also quite a few plot twists which totally make sense, but nonetheless took me by surprise.
I found this film HILARIOUS. Like there were numerous times where I and the rest of the theatre were all rolling with laughter.
Things I didn't like:
Harley Quin started to grate on me somewhat at some points... she can be kinda annoying and is the only one of the team with plot armour... but eh, she wasn't too bad.
And that's it. All in all this film was an incredibly fun viewing experience. 10/10, would reccomend.… Expand

My 20 year-old son and I just saw this in the theater. Absolutely the best thing we have seen in the last year +! This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Suicide Squad was epic, one of my top 5 favorite movies I've ever seen I loved ever second. James Gunn's direction and writing was impeccable, the stylistic choices like for instance the flowers exploding when Harley killed the guards or the environment being used to make the on scene subtitles that said things like "8 minutes earlier" and the hilarious and dark humor and jokes but stilling having some more serious and touching moments everything he did with this movie was perfection but it was no surprise cause he is one of the most talented film makers out there. The performances were exceptional, one of the best ensembles I've ever seen, especially from Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, David Dastmalchian, John Cena, Daniela Melchior, Joel Kinnaman, Sylvester Stallone, and Viola Davis also though their performances were lesser or short-lived Pete Davidson, Nathan Fillion, Jai Courtney, Peter Capaldi, Sean Gunn, Flula Borg, Michael Rooker, and Mayling Ng gave great performances too. The action sequences and fight choreography were awesome. The visual effects were spectacular especially Starro. The costumes were outstanding. The makeup and hairstyling was superb. Ratcatcher 2 and Polka Dot Man are the stand outs for me, with a powerhouse performance from Idris Elba, and the always funny John Cena utilized perfectly here. The laughs never stop throughout the two hour runtime, and it's ultraviolent tone keep the stakes high at all times. A much better suicide squad than the first one. For one, in this one the characters are actually dying. It is very irreverent and full with dark humor. One of the best films that I've seen coming from the US in a long time.

The scene where Cleo talks about her late father was a highlight, so was Rick Flag's death, I didn't expect to get teary eyed during this movie but here we are, James Gunn is a genius, a few of the standouts were: Ratcatcher 2 (Cleo) played by Daniela Melchior, Bloodsport (Robert) played by Idris Elba, Rick Flag played by Joel Kinnaman, King Shark (Nanaue) played by Sylvester Stallone, Weasel played by Sean Gunn & last but not least Harley Quinn played by Margot Robbie.… Expand

I really loved The Suicide Squad. The Suicide Squad was able to win me over as the best DCEU movie in the first 10 minutes of its run time. Warner Brothers is no longer trying to copy the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it’s working out really well. The film was able to manage being really dark, without falling into the same traps that the Snyderverse set for itself. The Snyderverse sometimes tries to be extra gritty in an attempt to stand out, but it can sometimes lead to really boring scenes. That’s a comment I make as a Snyderverse fan. Some other things I liked about the movie were the editing, the cast, and the special effects. I went into the movie without doubts about the quality of the acting and special effects, but I did doubt the editing would be anything to write home about. Thankfully, the movie exceeded all of my expectations in those areas. I also think that this movie works as a great James Gunn movie. The soundtrack really works well, something you can always look forward to in a Gunn flick. I was worried about the movie possibly using all its jokes in the trailer, but I was dead wrong. The movie is hilarious. If I had to recommend the movie to anyone, I’d recommend it to comic book fans, people who aren’t turned off by gore, and people who don’t take themselves too seriously.… Expand

All Snyder and Ayer fans should know three things before they give this movie negative reviews. First, Zack Snyder is the executive producer of this movie. Second, Snyder, Ayer and Gunn are good friends. Dawn of the Dead, was written by JamesAll Snyder and Ayer fans should know three things before they give this movie negative reviews. First, Zack Snyder is the executive producer of this movie. Second, Snyder, Ayer and Gunn are good friends. Dawn of the Dead, was written by James Gunn himself. And third, James Gunn supports the Snyderverse. He himself said he wants to see the Ayer Cut. And this is Suicide Squad. It's always going to be a different team. So both can coexist. With all that said, let's move on to the actual review.
The thing I like about James Gunn's movies is that he doesn't take anything seriously. This is the reason why we get to see many weird things happening which we won't normally see in any other director's movies. There are many such instances in this movie itself, most particularly in the beginning where TDK uses his detachable arms to slap the enemy soldiers. There are also King Shark, whom Gunn manages to make terrifying and cute at the same time, there's Harley Quinn of course, who imagines weird things and then acts accordingly, and there's Bloodsport who acts all tough but gets scared of a rat.
The comic timing is what makes this movie so good. All the characters have something unique to offer, and all of them are making the scene more exciting. I really liked that part where Harley Quinn comes out of the building and sees everyone coming in to save her. There are also other scenes where I couldn't hold my laughter, like King Shark raising his arm and saying "Hand!" (for that matter all King Shark scenes were great). Many deaths come up unexpected, and the movie gives us enough reasons to care. So it's always a flinching moment whenever someone dies.
My favourite character in this movie, which must have become obvious by now, is King Shark. Whenever he is on the scene we know something good is going to happen. Even when he is not doing anything he just stands there adorably. I also like Peacemaker. His dialogues are great, and every time he speaks it's something funny. Bloodshot also has some really great action scenes along with him. Ratcatcher II and Harley Quinn were also hilarious when needed. The team that comes in the start really sets the mood and I really hope they do something great with Weasel. He looked interesting.
I have only read one Suicide Squad comic (Rebirth) and watched three movies (the 2016 one, this and Hell To Pay). So I won't call myself an expert on the franchise. But seeing how Kill the Justice League is also seeming to be in similar tone, I believe Suicide Squad is supposed to be this hilarious rollercoaster. And this movie absolutely stands by it. I'd really hope we get to see at least like, ten Suicide Squad movies and shows in this decade.… Expand

I think it's also better than the Wonder Woman movie, the Wonder Woman movie looks more for the lower age audiences. After all, this is a R rated movie. The director of this movie is also the director of Guardians of the Galaxy. There are various people in this movie, but even if you don't recognize any of them, the movie is still pretty good. If you look at it this way, the movie shows the director's personal style in full. I don't know if the high-level Warner people intervene this movie or not. That Suicide Squad was really more interesting. The story has it's good moments. In particular Harley Quinn was used correctly. More humour and the charisma of Cena/Elba on top of that. The film was a bit long at times.

holy s**t. I did not expect this film to be this AMAZING. John, Margot, Idris, Daniela, David and Joel...the acting was AMAZING. Looking at other peoples reviews, their flaws are so goofy. I couldn't agree with anything anyone else was saying on the movie. I highly enjoyed the movie, I do not think one point dragged on for too long, or was too short. The movie was paced perfectly while blending together some great action scenes. There was more humor than normal for a DC movie and it was a welcomed addition. The characters were all likeable. I mean I really can't think of anything I hated or wasn't blown away about. So here I am handing out a 10.... hate to do it but bravo James Gunn.… Expand

James Gunn blew my expectations out of the water with this one. Believe the hype, this man knows how to make movies and his take on the DCEU is incredible. Normally, DC movies have a very dry sense of humor, but this movie had me laughingJames Gunn blew my expectations out of the water with this one. Believe the hype, this man knows how to make movies and his take on the DCEU is incredible. Normally, DC movies have a very dry sense of humor, but this movie had me laughing from beginning to start. Loved every freaking character and James knows how to treat them well. Everyone got a spotlight, some very short, and they were all very heartwarming. My favorite was King Shark! Sylvester Stallone who voiced him, really gave him character.

Please watch this if you are on the fence. You will not be disappointed!… Expand

This movie has everything that Warnesr taken from David Ayer`s movie: original director`s idea. I`m a big fan of James Gunn vision and movie is exactly about it. Mad, funny, with strong charaters and interesting story.

It's got a hint of comedy, and some heart, especialy when it comes to characters like King Shark and Bloodsport. When it comes to having "Suicide" in the name, that isn't a joke. many Task Force X (or the Squad) members perish in either style, or a comedic way (like Peacemaker, Javelin, etc), which is a reason it's so good, I'd recomend this to;
A: Adult DC fans
B: Teens who can handle extremely graphic and violent content… Expand

I expected nothing from this movie, especially since the last suicide squad movie was a really painfull experience.
