"The Professor" starts off well: a dying upper-middle-class English professor decides to be nonconforming in the few months he realizes he has left in his life. Unfortunately, the movie's suspense dies ahead of its main character. Unfortunately, the movie's suspense dies ahead of its main character. What could have been an emotional roller coaster turns out to be a meandering train of many promising twists and turns, none of which leads anywhere. It is easy to see why Johnny Depp is chosen to portray the stage-four cancer victim, as he is able to bring his usual inebriated and drugged-out affectations to the role. Unfortunately, there are no other textures to his performance. This is possibly Mr. Depp's weakest acting in many years.… Expand

I was completely bored.

This is perhaps a preamble to the films that await a clearly unmotivated Johnny Depp for the rest of his career.

It's an inspired story that let you think deeply about how you must value your life and do whatever you like without thinking of peoples' impressions and reactions, be yourself and don't pretend to be someone you're not.

Actually, "The Professor" is a good movie, great performance by Johnny as usual, but still there are some missing parts that could make "The Professor" a great movie.… Expand

jest to dobry, ale zarazem ciężki film... główną rolę gra depp i jak najbardziej się w niej sprawdza.
