If u even a little bit liked the the first three movies, or even the first one, pls don`t watch this. It reduces the previous three movies to nothing, the first half an hour constantly makes fun of this movie existence. The acting, the cgi, and some of the fight scenes are really decent, but the writing, oh my good the writing, is just awful. The 4 is a generous 4 and it is mostly because it constantly reminds of u of how much better the prev 3 movies is. There is potential here for sure, but the bad story and the bad writing simply buries it.… Expand

No one would accept the program, entire crops were lost. Some believed we lacked the programming language to describe your perfect world, but I believe that, as a species, human beings define their reality through misery and suffering. The perfect world was a dream that your primitive cerebrum kept trying to wake up from. Which is why the Matrix was redesigned to this". On such a nihilistic premise it was not possible to build anything, it vanified any hypothetical attempt at emancipation as it had already been performed and falsified. The saga was more or less usable and enjoyable on condition of forgetting one of the worst screenplay inconsistencies in the history of cinema or, vice versa, of interpretating it as the demonstration of the truthfulness of the basic assumption. "Matrix 4" is a bogus product, added almost twenty years later without any valid artistic reason: metatextuality avoids the fundamental dilemma, the disquisition on free will is already stale in itself and in any case Lana has the modesty not to take it seriously, the love story between Neo and Trinity had already touched quite another emotional peaks in the mutual resurrection of the first 2 episodes, the criticism of the geek generation who wanted to change the world and instead became its new ruler (and slave) is euphemistically weak, the rejection of a binary logic ("two-valued", Boolean algebra, the Parmenidean and Aristotelian "aut aut: tertium non datur") reiterates the allusion to gender fluidity in cast, actor roles and audience. The rest offers no substantial novelty (CGI, action scenes, characterization of the protagonists).… Expand

Like so many people, i loved the first Matrix! The following 2 sequels were a fun watch but i felt never captured the feel of the first one. After watching the trailer for Matrix Resurrections with that song White Rabbit by JeffersonLike so many people, i loved the first Matrix! The following 2 sequels were a fun watch but i felt never captured the feel of the first one. After watching the trailer for Matrix Resurrections with that song White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane, i was beyond excited!!! It was s cool trailer with a cool song that tied in nicely with the White Rabbit theme from the first Matrix! SADLY, the movie was a huge letdown for me ☹️ Not only was it nowhere near as cool as the Matrix, it had a made-for-TV feel to it. I just could not get into it at all. A couple of friends of mine couldn’t even finish it! I’m not trying to sound like some kind of movie critic, I’m just saying I felt deceived by that cool trailer & that this movie completely lost all of the vibe that the original had. not the best not the worst movie ever.. It have the potential to become better in the future, so i hope this does not ruin of any more matrix movies to come.

Not a great film but a better Matrix film than Resurrections. The amount of references while also saying that references were bad was annoying though.

"The Matrix Resurrections" is a movie that many have deemed unnecessary and unimportant. The film feels like a cash grab by Warner Bros, and the reunion of the original cast members is nice, but it doesn't make up for the lackluster plot and"The Matrix Resurrections" is a movie that many have deemed unnecessary and unimportant. The film feels like a cash grab by Warner Bros, and the reunion of the original cast members is nice, but it doesn't make up for the lackluster plot and unimpressive new additions to the cast. The absence of Laurence Fishburne is keenly felt, and the performances of Jonathan Groff and Priyanka Chopra Jonas are underwhelming. The only redeeming quality of the film is the CGI, which has improved greatly since the first trilogy. Overall, the franchise should have been left alone after the original trilogy, and Lana Wachowski should have declined the opportunity to revive it.

The Wachowskis did not cast this movie well. The characters that play Bugs and Morpheus were poorly written and they should have put more effort into the editing. Also, it was a bad idea to change traditional aesthetics and machinery. TheThe Wachowskis did not cast this movie well. The Wachowskis need to understand that it is a good idea to keep sequels loyal to the originals. This much change ruined everything we love about The Matrix Trilogy. Cast actors that are better suited for their roles. Keanu and Carrie-Anne deserved better than this. Despite this, it was enjoyable seeing Keanu and Carrie-Anne again.… Expand
