The Lost City is a big studio release playing in theaters, and for any kind of “date night,” it is a solid base hit. But should you find yourself on an airplane a few months from now and this is a viewing option, that’s when it becomes a home run. The Lost City isn’t terrible, just aggressively mediocre. It is the kind of movie you put on in the background after coming across it on TBS while you fold laundry on a Sunday afternoon. Watch the movie like this, Sit Bored 625 times (calculated number according to the main time of this movie). Yeah ,See this masterpiece 625 times and do not be proud. Next, if you go to build a terminator and do not have a billion-dollar audience. ......It is not possible at all. Fun, rom-com...a genre that Sandra Bullock used to excel back in the day. This is her best in years, and choosing Tatum as her sparring partner is a great choice. Their banter is gold. It had its fun moments, but the story was very basic, comedic elements saved it, but story was just the usual overused stuff in such type of adventure movies, without interesting twists even. Also was a bit cheesy at times. Was fun to watch though and entertaining

When I sat there in the theater, it felt like I was watching an adolescent version of "Dora and the Lost City", but without Dora; and the "Uncharted" movie, except I was admired by the better casting choices and had a plot that was more from scratch. This movie has an interesting theme where a reclusive author, Loretta hides her ideas of a fantasy novel from society as a surprise. While promoting her new novel, she is faced with exaggeration when a lunatic kidnaps her and Loretta faces visualized aspects from her novel on an island. The contemplations this film had me wondering if an imagination of an author had a perfect scenario for Loretta to reflect vividly on characters that she created and what she would be able to do with the materiality of them.
It feels like this film wanted to have a little simultaneous competition with "Uncharted" and as I see it, the visuals here required less effort than in "Uncharted", while that movie had a plot that was more befogging and this film followed through better.… Expand

Odd show. A Dumb and Dumber romcom without all the good one liners and an unsatisfactory ending. Worth seeing once. Def too many sexual innuendos.
