Absolutely love the series up until this movie, but this was a total mess.

There's absolutely no pacing, the plot and new characters are mostly a mess, and it just goes out with a whimper. Disappointing, pretty much from start to finish.

I was willing to let some historical inaccuracies slip, but the film just pushed it to far only Netflix could turn the first battle of England in to a rom-com the whole Ingimundr character doesnt remotely fit history.

Absolutely amazing. The best ending to a TV series I have ever seen. I look forward to rewatching all of the episodes without having to wait in between seasons.

Giving it a 10 honestly just because some snowflake gave it a 0 crying about it being woke. Perfectly balanced.

Season 1 was ok, Season 2 and 3 were great, Season 4 and 5 lost a lot of quality. This is why I wasn't expecting much, and yet I am disappointed. Poorly written and acted, as if the actors just wanted to reach the end of the day to get a paycheck

This film is a bastardisation of what was a mostly excellent series and and even better series of books. It is filled with clichéd moments that try with astonishing rapidity, to explain away the huge gaps in the plot it has chosen to leave as giant gaps. They have made one of the main characters a weak, tool of wokeness and in their flumoxy attempt to honour the books, have entirely failed to honour the books. It is a huge and unrelenting shame. The series lost its way at the end with random made up crap and wokeness creeping in, this film is an extension of that. Expand

Netflix did it again.

The Last Kingdom was an extraordinary series, full of wonderful episodes, without a doubt one of my favorite series of all time.

Unfortunately I can't say the same about the movie Seven Kings Must Die, I found it disappointing, the movie had a lot of potential and they squandered it with forced and nonsensical inclusion of gay characters in the main plot, they didn't bother to create a bit of coherence, the plot simply does not hold up, nor does it become credible under the premise they use.

The only memorable thing was its grand finale, although it also fell a bit short of perfect. Thanks to The Last Kingdom for all these wonderful years of adventure and excitement, I will miss the adventures of the great Uthred of Bebbanburgh.

It looks good but sounds like sh#t.
It sound like a teenage boy wrote the skript.
Just a slow b-movie with low level acting.

At last Netflix revival. First movie that shows us how homos are unpredictable and dangerous. Masterpiece!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. While at times Seven Kings Must Die loses its coherence and becomes geographically implausible, when viewed as a whole, especially the terrific Battle of Brunanburh, it deserves its 9 rating. Dreymon portrays an Uhtred approaching the end. Expand
