Tom Six is a fantastic director who executed this film perfectly, both complimenting and outdoing the first film. Just don't watch it. Ever. Not even /b/tards and fans of de Sade could sit through this without gagging.

The whole concept is just disgusting, but not in any creative or interesting way. Horror is hard, but gore is easy and HCII is 100% pure gore, just like it's predecessor was. Eventually, it all comes to a point where the only logical way to keep this trend up is shooting actual snuff movies, or putting unedited footage of concentration camp medical experiments on the screen. Preferably the Japanese.

That 5 seconds kept coming back into my mind for A WEEK. I swear it seemed like a new low for the human soul...but even that is redeemed by the almost universal repugnance felt for it among the users here. That gladdens me at least. I live in the 21st century and have seen terrible degrading material but something about the atmosphere of it represented new depths. No intellectual or artistic defence is really possible. We can get shreds, even chunks of value or meaning from horror, such as original Texas Chainsaw or Cabin in the Woods. Thanks users, for being unambiguous about this. Expand

The Human Centipede II fixes that by providing you with the most revolting piece of film ever captured. There is not story other than a mentally unstable man named Martin gains both sexual and mental pleasure from watching the Human Centipede film, so much to the point that he decides to make his own Human Centipede. The film is black and white which adds to the gritty unsettling atmosphere that the film can hold well but its so badly filmed and has such an awful plot that you do not care for it. If you get kicks off watching people bash their mothers faces in, see **** fly at the screen and have a fetish for dungeon porn then this may be the film for you but for people wanting something to both disgust but entertain if only mildly stick to the first film. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Hands down, 'The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence)' is the most vile and unsettling film I've ever seen, and I am by no means a prude. You can't say I wasn't warned - its predecessor, 'The Human Centipede (First Sequence)', upped the ante in the torture porn genre with a premise involving a mad scientist who abducts three people and surgically sews them mouth-to-anus with each other, leaving the trio with just one digestive tract. Where the hell do you go from there? Apparently, a lot further. Despite my normal disinterest in these Saw-type of movies (and horrors in general), the first 'Human Centipede' had a twisted, novel concept that made for an interesting movie, but not a terribly well-done one. Still, there was just enough there to plant the seeds of interest as to where Dutch filmmaker Tom Six would take its followup. Ohhh, that my scarred eyes could now unsee what perverse sickness Six hath cinematically wrought.

The only good thing I can say about 'The Human Centipede 2' is the on-the-nose casting of screen newcomer Laurence R. Harvey, a 50ish British performance artist. Both Harvey and his "Martin" character are the epitome of creepiness, with bulging eyes, greasy hair, bad teeth, and obese body. And as if his physical repugnance wasn't enough, Martin is also saddled with an asthmatic wheeze, some sort of mental handicap stemming from every kind of abuse from his now-incarcerated father, and a lifetime of emotional abuse from his constantly nagging mother, who he still lives with in a dingy London flat. It's the sort of character background composition that feels right off a "damaged movie character 101" checklist. Harvey has zero heavy lifting to do as far as remembering dialogue - he speaks no words, only grunting, whimpering, and occasionally cackling maniacally. Martin works as a security guard at a parking garage, where he occupies his time by watching 'The Human Centipede' over and over on his laptop. Yes, that first time around was apparently just a movie; Six's meta concept isn't nearly as clever as he'd probably like to think it is, though. Eventually, Martin snaps and actually starts implementing the movie's ideas, which he's been studiously detailing in a scrapbook. The goal? To "Frankenstein" together a human centipede made up of four times as many people as was seen in the inspirational source. The parking garage acts as a victim supply pipeline - a handful of the guinea pigs are just in the wrong place at the wrong time, but most of them are unpleasant people who rub Martin the wrong way. As an extension of the meta concept, one of the victims includes actress Ashlynn Yennie, who appeared in the first film and plays herself here. I genuinely felt sorry for her, as she once again ends up naked on screen with her mouth sewn to someone else's **** Ms. Yennie, please fire your agent.

'The Human Centipede 2' made headlines upon its theatrical release last year when it was banned in Australia and the UK (one of only 11 films ever to be banned by British film censors in the last 100 years). Six must have been ecstatic at the free marketing boost the controversy generated for the movie, which was always intended to primarily be a home video release. 32 cuts totalling 2:37 eventually allowed it to be released on DVD, Blu-ray, and video-on-demand in the U.K. The version I saw had all the gore included, including highly disturbing scenes involving a character pleasuring himself with sandpaper, teeth being knocked out with a hammer, scatological trauma, and a birth scene that goes for a payoff so unbelievably wretched you won't believe it. Six is unable to rein in his button-pushing instincts, leaving 'The Human Centipede 2' as little more than an orgy of sadism that can't disguise the fact it's also really just a super-sized copy of the original. The filmmaker also makes the questionable decision to present the movie in black and white, presumably aiming for a measure of artistic credibility. And God help us all - 'The Human Centipede 3 (Final Sequence)' is now in pre-production.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. When I watched The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence), it was dark, rainy and miserable outside, possibly the exact situation in which Tom Six would want you to watch his sequel. The sequel itself is filmed in black and white and the constant rain and darkness results in ninety minutes of despair and suffering for all involved, including the viewer. This is a recommendation in a strange way, I mean when you come into a movie called The Human Centipede 2, you’re not expecting Sleeping Beauty are you? And Tom Six himself claims that the sequel makes the original look like My Little Pony, which I have to agree with, the first film was nasty but most of it was in your head, this time it is all up there on the screen, well most of it, the movie is missing two and a half minutes in this country ‘thanks’ to the BBFC who originally refused it a certificate completely.

I should warn of spoilers in this write-up, if only because I hate it when I read a piece on a movie that just slips in plot points with no warning. So here’s your warning. Still here? Good. It’s not much of a spoiler to say that there is a bigger nastier and bloodier centipede is it?

One of the reasons the original perhaps was less effective than this (although still a great and original body-horror classic) is that this time you get the idea that you are being tossed into a real world situation. The main character Martin, a car park attendant who never speaks through the film, is obsessed with the original film, watching it every night at work (you know at this point that is not just a love of cinema as Martin masturbates to the action, using sandpaper on himself in a sickening scene) and keeping a scrapbook of cuttings and posters as well as drawings of how Dr Heiter successfully connected three people in the original. Martin it seems wants to go further.

Martin’s life is extremely grim his father is in prison for abusing him when he was younger, he’s seeing a psychiatrist who merely fills him with drugs and acts in an inappropriate fashion himself (at this point, the tale seems to nod towards The Who’s Tommy, Martin is not deaf, dumb and blind, but at times it seems he wishes he was and is merely going through the motions of life, only feeling anything whilst watching the first movie) whilst Martin’s mother blames him for her isolation and cuts herself in front of him, going as far as trying to kill him and also trying to get her neighbour to kill both of them.

Martin rents an old warehouse and it is all systems go. These scenes reminded me somewhat of Reservoir Dogs so it is ironic that Martin manages to get the main actress from Human Centipede to enter his sick world by letting her think that she has come to London to star in a Tarantino movie. This is the point in which you lose any empathy you might have for Martin as a ‘victim’, he is obviously far more manipulative and cunning than his giggling, grunting persona would suggest. The most sickening moment in the film actually has nothing to do with the centipede, it is when Martin kills his meddling mother. As he swings the crowbar, you might briefly understand it but he continues hitting her until there is little left and this was a scene that actually had me dry heaving, as he places the body up at the table and happily eats his dinner in front of it. Dark. Very. Dark.

So, the centipede. Well in the original you were dealing with a professional, a doctor who knew exactly what he was doing, no matter how horrific. This time (as suggested by the tagline ‘100% Medically Inaccurate’) it’s a car park attendant, so instead of delicately placing them together, he uses a nail gun to connect the subjects along with a large amount of duct tape. The original actress gets pride of place at the front and the unfortunate girl at the rear end gets savagely attacked by Martin, with barbed wire wrapped around himself for another cringe worthy scene.

When the movie ends (no happy ending of course, what did you expect?) you might find yourself still feeling nauseous and wondering exactly what you have just seen. It will be interesting to see what Lawrence R. Harvey who plays Martin will do next as this is a stunning performance, but at the same time might be the sort of thing that makes film makers pass over him in the future. As for Tom Six, he is already working hard on the final instalment The Human Centipede 3 (Final Sequence) which is set to start at the end of this movie, allowing you to watch the trilogy in a single sitting if you are that way inclined. Again he has warned that it will make this movie look like Disney. I can’t wait.

That specific reason being that someone wanted to point out TV shows like Criminal Minds are full of it-as in when the FBI on the show goes on and on about how so and so who just cut a 90 year old person in a wheelchair in half with a butcher knife is somehow really 'a sophisticated offender who probably has a 175 IQ'. As in what a complete load of rubbish that type of thinking is. This film puts it all in perspective by showing how a mentally retarded fatso who has never kissed a girl or read a book & is barely four feet tall & mute-can easily kill twelve people regardless of their strength in 48 hours and get away with it-just by having a place to put them that nobody goes to regularly-and a handgun that works. Thats all its really about-all the rest is just window dressing-that I thought it was freakin' hilarious. Maybe some types of movie watchers think that people getting incinerating is someone how "morally above" what happens to people in this film. Curious point. Don't see this film if you scare easily or have eaten pizza recently. It might get gross. Kudos to the cast for pulling it off-woulda made me puke for sure. Expand

The Human Centipede II get's only one thing right and that's showing me the true meaning of ugliness and cruel world we live in today.

The story to this horrible film is about a man becomes obsessed with the Human Centipede film and decides to create his own 12-person centipede to satisfy his twisted sexual desires.

I'm just going to start off by saying that I hate this movie so much and yeah that's how I'm starting off. The movies tone is ugly and watching this movie from start till finish is the worst movie experience I ever had. The main character of the film or the main villain of the story is obsess with the The human Centipede film, and straight away you can see that this guy has no life at all or any good taste when it comes to films. He dose many messed up, grizzly and gruesome stuff that even a movie lover can't stand.

Who enjoys a movie with scenes of: rape, torture, shocking and under use gore, and if you enjoy all that then you're f**ked up!. Now I'm not that kind of person that goes and says "It's too gory and I'm very angry at that", My favorite thriller all time that has a lots of gory scenes in it and it doesn't bother me that much and that's the movie Seven, at least that movie give me and us the picture of what this serial killer was doing and how shocking it was that nobody on the face of earth would think of, but the reason it really doesn't work here because the gory is under use to the point were I was about to turn it off because this movie is just torture porn from start till finish.

I didn't like a single thing in this dreadful film making it the worst horror film and the worst movie of 2011.

Human Centipede II fared much worse. If there was anything I slightly preferred, it was marginally grittier than the first which I kind of liked. However, the concept is nowhere near as the original, and not only does it have the same mistakes as the original but it makes more along the way. It still has the stock characters, the bad, cheesy dialogue, the dull acting and the medical errors the original had. I had no problem that this film was perhaps more disturbing than the first, the problem was there is no subtlety to it and it is low on the suspense meter. The amplified flaws come from two primary things. I do have to agree that the ending is one of the most rushed endings recently in any film. The other is the villain, in the original the villain did have many moments where he was genuinely chilling, this villain is so cartoony and over-the-top it is hard to feel any pity or such for him. All in all, although I was not a fan of the first movie, the awfulness of this film actually made me appreciate it. 1/10 Bethany Cox Expand

I firmly believe, after seeing this film, that Tom Six should have some serious mental problem, and I am very sorry because I have never had anything against him personally. I sincerely hope that he will stop working at the movies and be very happy in any other profession.

If "Human Centipede" and the sequel that was inexplicably made afterwards were very bad movies, this movie set the record. Again, there is no real script here but a context and a cause. The context is the prison world and the cause is the madness and insanity of the guards and prison director who decide to build the "centipede" with hundreds of prisoners whom they think should be punished more severely. The mistakes continue, that "medically accurate" crap is no longer convincing and is clearly being used with sarcasm and the characters are deeply void.

Repeating what I wrote for the second movie, I've never been a fan of gore movies, despite being an admirer of horror movies. Blood and fluids do not scare me, and I honestly do not feel like watching a movie if I suspect it's going to make me throw up my lunch. If I tried watching this movie it was just to be aware of the extent of the crap I already knew he had. I really hope it's the end of the centipedes.

This movie is extremely gory, sick-minded, that if you were eating popcorn while watching this trash, you will most likely end up in the same sick mess.

What I liked about the film was that it was black and white all the time. It just had its charm. What I praised in the first film was the doctor who created The Human Centipede, because he was scared of it from the look of it. But now someone else is coming on the scene. Hard to say whether better. I'm probably leaning a little towards the doctor from number one, but night watchman Martin also has his charm. It's also weird from the point of view. This time it's not about fear, it's just weird. How he looks with those eyes all the time. I don't know if that was the purpose, but it's great. That's all. No, really now. What is more or less the case here is the case with number one. Don't look for a story here, although there is one and it is maybe a little better. But the film excels in disgust, just like the previous one. It was a little better here. So if you enjoy perversion or you liked the first film, then I don't think you'll make a mistake if you look at this one as well. I advise other people to put their hands away. If you are not looking for different tastes, then this is not for you. For me, an average film that I recommend only to those who want some disgust. Expand

A completely sick movie! It doesn't depict anything special and just wants to say how crazy a person can be. You will definitely not see the most annoying and stupid movie after this movie.
