The grudge delivered. Director Nicolas pesce gave this amazing haunted ghost story a great twisted with some jump scares . This is not a bad movie! I expected far worse from the scores it was being given. The story itself was very engrossing, if a bit confusing at times due to the shifting timeframes. But, My friend and I enjoyed the characters and the actorsThis is not a bad movie! I expected far worse from the scores it was being given. The story itself was very engrossing, if a bit confusing at times due to the shifting timeframes. But, My friend and I enjoyed the characters and the actors who played them. Even an Oscar nominee shows up! Jackie Weaver. The story picks up from 2004 with a woman who stayed in what I guess was the original house where The Grudge got started. I don’t remember much about the first one, so I can’t verify the accuracy of the backstory that propels the movie forward. But, it is certainly very creepy in places and we really enjoyed it.… Expand

I was pleasantly surprised by this film - had rock bottom expectations based on the critical reaction to it. No idea what they were watching, or whether they're just a little jaded with respect to this type of horror, but the acting in it isI was pleasantly surprised by this film - had rock bottom expectations based on the critical reaction to it. No idea what they were watching, or whether they're just a little jaded with respect to this type of horror, but the acting in it is top notch. And it's creepy as hell. ¡Me gustó! Esperaba una basura pero quedé ampliamente satisfecho. Tiene más pinta de Thriller que de Horror, pero los momentos adecuados son bastante siniestros y explícitamente violentos, cosa que no se vio en la versión del 2004, obviamente¡Me gustó! Esperaba una basura pero quedé ampliamente satisfecho. Tiene más pinta de Thriller que de Horror, pero los momentos adecuados son bastante siniestros y explícitamente violentos, cosa que no se vio en la versión del 2004, obviamente no es ni la mitad de buena que la versión japonesa del 2002, pero definitivamente es superior a la insípida adaptación estadounidense del 2004

Buena atmósfera, actuaciones aceptables y favorablemente diferente en cuanto a su historia y desarrollo, pudo ser mejor sin duda alguna pero quedé conforme con lo que vi.… Expand

Ignore what other people say this film is absolutely terrifying and I don’t find any film scary the first half of the film wasn’t that bad but on the second half they crammed so many jump scares in it we was nearly in tears it is a mixtureIgnore what other people say this film is absolutely terrifying and I don’t find any film scary the first half of the film wasn’t that bad but on the second half they crammed so many jump scares in it we was nearly in tears it is a mixture between a extremely jumpy film and a mental **** film never again do I ever want to be in a house alone this film mentally terrorises you while also making you jump out your skin I would defined recommend if you want a film that will generally make you jump and get you scared So watch it but don’t say I didn’t warn you it is **** terrifying… Expand

Holy crap, people love jumping on a bandwagon to absolutely drag a movie. I especially doubt many of you actually enjoying the horror genre. Honestly, this one isn't as bad as the cool kids will lead you to believe. It honestly tells a really nice ghost story with some pretty credible folks infront and behind the camera… Expand
