So lame, so nothing... such a waste. This could have been a great film. It's flat ending left us looking at each other as the credits rolled asking each other "HUH?" If you really want to waste your time, wait until it's on Netflix or you can rent for a dollar at RedBox. Expand

I am simply amazed that anyone found this movie palatable. It starts out well enough as a popcorn thriller, but it feels as if there was some sort of studio decision to make this about social issues... mainly bullying. It starts out well enough as a popcorn thriller, but it feels as if there was some sort of studio decision to make this about social issues... mainly bullying. This movie goes straight downhill from the moment the reveal the 'twist' which is little more that a reason to become preachy about school yard bullying, cyber-bullying and I'm probably leaving a couple out, but I was done the moment they ran with this plot twist. It's a stupid movie, so save your money. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This movie was sold as a psychological thriller and reviewed as a breath of fresh air. I went out to see it and was disappointed. Simple logic unravels the plot points and all of the characters are unlikable.

***Spoilers to follow***

The final 'zing' ending doesn't survive the idiot test as the 'weirdo' character leaves all sorts of actionable evidence that he has committed multiple crimes. The bully who gets zinged was not bad enough so the writer manufactured a side plot where he secretly sabotaged someone else - yet didn't show it (as if it was manufactured via re-shoot after screen tests). The flawed wife character is easily corrupted to the core via her naivety, yet is sold as sympathetic.

This movie doesn't survive simple logic such as:
1. Why doesn't the weirdo use a cell phone to call ahead? (He has one at the end.)
2. The wife is a pill popping, easily manipulated, nut job. Why should we care what she thinks?
3. They bought a million dollar home in the Hollywood Hills on one income and the husband needs a promotion that badly?
4. The two characters in conflict went to high school 3000 miles away from Los Angeles, meet by chance (one in a million event), then the husband's bosses came from the same high school 3000 miles away, AND the husband's friend from high school(that's 3000 miles away) also lives in L.A.. (I'm curious how professional movie reviewers missed this one.)
5. The end of the movie completely falls apart because the weirdo character left material evidence that he was breaking and entering, intimated he'd committed a rape, and broke into someone else's house to host a dinner party.

Hollywood borrowing plot twist from more independent movies is just wrong. The whole plot twist has been done before in the spanish movie "Sleep Tight".

It build up suspense brilliantly, as the main antagonist became more and more intrusive, but then the film quite simply didn't have an ending. Somebody dying or even a scrap of violence would have been the cherry on top for this film, but it simply didn't come. I was very disappointed, not only because of the potential of this film, but also because I spent and hour and a half watching what should have been a 30 minute opening segment. Expand

This is one insanely boring, predictable pile of garbage! As soon as she pass out, I immediately figured out what would the ONLY possible outcome was to shoot that scene: Gordo Jr. So, I had to wait 40 minutes of long, pointless scenes revolving on the bad choices Simon made when he was a teenager.... To an ending so bland that I almost puke. Won´t watch any more movies with high scores here. Expand
