The CGI in this film is terrible and really takes you out of the story and the score is unremarkable, but the characters really carry the movie. Ezra isn't the best as the Flash but their acting gives the character a fitting personality. Overall I wouldn't really recommend this film although I did enjoy it. Expand

Film doesn’t undercut sincerity with comedy like most modern marvel but when it isn’t in those emotional moments it has levity. It succeeds in being what it wants to be and that is a good time. Best superhero film I’ve seen in years.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The most appropriate word to describe this movie is CRINGE. It's just a never-ending cringe. Starting with the fact that Barry is shown initially as autistic with a behavior disorder (as Newt Salamander from The Creatures), then suddenly he becomes normal. LEO goes back in time a few years, where he's not just autistic, but really mentally retarded. There he's 18, but acts like a 14 year old in the worst incarnation of a teen comedy about **** boobs and **** CRINGEATTACK. Keaton's Batman is also a total fanservice cringe. Supergirl is a bright spot. There's almost no cringe with her. The graphics are a mess. You should watch it after drinking two liters of beer - then it will be fun (or you could be retarded as young Burry). Expand

The cgi wasn’t great but didn’t think it was as bad as all the haters are making it out to be. For James Gunn to say it’s the best superhero movie, he is obviously lying to promote the box office sales, which obviously is not working. Michael Keaton was great in the movie but that was all that it really had going for it. Super girl was also pretty good, but was short-lived. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is the 2nd worst movie I have seen this year. I didn’t think it was possible but my god it was. Ant-man and the Wasp Quantumania and The Flash share a very similar interest… they are both bad films and they shouldn’t be praised or defended by anyone as this is why Marvel and DC think it’s acceptable to release films in this state. There’s so much wrong with The Flash like for example Micheal Keaton’s return used for nostalgia bait, underused supergirl, rushed 2nd half story telling, comedy set as priority, awful CGI used for cameo appearances and other. I hope this film bombs hard enough to the point where it’s impossible for Flash to save it just like he couldn’t save his mum. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Get ready for things to just happen over nearly 3 hours. There really isn't character development or any specific goal other than 'assemble the alternate Justice League'. Once that happens, they all fail miserably and die. Michael Keeton is in the movie, which is just about all you can really say about his inclusion; he doesn't do anything outside of die (twice) in the finale. There really isn't much to think about afterward, it's really bland and forgettable. I saw it on opening day and am having trouble even recalling what happens to write this. Expand

After an upbeat hospital rescue sequence, he "speeds" back in time, which causes ripples for everyone. There is a villain, Kryptonian General Zod who wants to destroy Earth (yawn), but this movie is really about Miller's character, or actually 2 characters (I'll leave the movie to explain). His mildly awkward, off-beat charm creates 2 versions of himself that play enjoyably off each other. There are a few of the usual action scenes with additional superheroes. The fights are fast, obviously, and the effects are decent. Batman is cast as his friend, so that gives Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck a chance to revive their roles from the previous films. Even at 2.5 hours, this never drags and even manages to present a DC film that's funny and fun. NOTE: Stay thru all those credits for yet another DC character to have a comic moment. Expand

Mythic in all the best ways (love you, Supergirl). Tragic in all the right places. Plenty of humor to balance the myth and the tragedy. I'm a VFX-CGI fan, saw it on a regular big screen sitting up front; I didn't notice any bad VFX (way better overall VFX results than Quantumania). Time travel is represented more clearly and graphically than in many time travel films. I was no more confused than in any other time travel film, mostly less. Ezra is a strong and effective lead, a rarity in such films. The finale has genuine pathos. In comparison, Guardians of Galaxy 3 is merely a tear-jerker. Expand

Having just caught an early accessBarry Allen/Flash (Ezra Miller) finds himself weaving through the past and time itself as he tries to undo his mother's death. He soon however finds that altering time and the past has its consequences. Having just caught an early access preview for this one, I didn't expect much going into it. This is mostly due to the fact that I'm just so burnt out on DC and superhero films in general, especially with the multiverse concept. And while there are some fun and decent moments to be had here, none of it really adds up to being anything too worthwhile. While it was great to see Michael Keaton return after over 30 years as Batman, and even seeing Supergirl (Sasha Calle) make an appearance, the film's story and timelines are all a literal mess and so not worth the headache trying to follow all the plot points and action. Furthermore, the slow-motion scenes throughout are cheesy and ridiculous at best. Overall, while it boasts an all-star roster for sure (besides Keaton, Batfleck, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and a whole host of other cameos and Easter Eggs towards the end make things somewhat interesting), it's simply not enough to overcome the typical loud and lackluster story and action I've come to expect from DC. The CGI is atrocious at times and this isn't what we should be getting from a film that cost over $200 million. The script is a jumbled mess that feels like 2 or 3 different stories, with not enough focus on the main villain. This movie is already bombing too, WB needs to forget about retaining any DCEU characters and do a full reboot. Pontos positivos:
- O Barry e a mãe dele me fizeram chorar demais

I loved every minute and am so glad I got to see Keaton as Batman on the big screen after having grown up watching Batman/Returns over and over again. The fact that it is only a 5.9 at the moment of this writing is truly mind boggling and I almost feel like some people clearly saw a different movie than I did. It's truly a shame Miller lost his mind because he made a truly unique Barry Allen that still felt Authentically Barry Allen.

Also I'm not sure why people are complaining about CGI when it was clearly intended to be stylized. Some of the VFX were shaky but the majority of the CGI was not "bad" it was clearly designed with a certain look in mind.

It's actually a pretty good movie and one of the better DC movies that have come out in recent years all the actors were great and while I may not like Ezra Miller as a person, they basically 2 different characters which is impressive.

while there were some Cameos, they weren't really important besides Keaton and there weren't enough for this to be an Easter Egg hunt movie like a few other movies have done.

while a lot of recent superhero movies have been overly focusing on the Comedy and not enough on the Drama this movie, I think found a good balance between the two.

Fantástico uso cênico do espaço-tempo.

Action and hijinks can't save this film from an atrociously muddled storyline, cliche quips and a lead actor who the studio have obviously spent a mini fortune trying to bury.

Expand

Not awful, but if you're paying to see this movie, you need to significantly lower your expectations.
The opening scene of the titular hero interacting with underage girls, and touching babies, when seen through the lens of Ezra Miller's recent legal troubles, seems jarring at best.
The "I made it myself" CGI used throughout the movie, particularly when The Flash(es) have entered the speed force, or are viewing alternate universes, is unforgivably poor.
The general plotline isn't bad, but it's let down by a tone that jumps around more than House of Pain, and effects that don't support the director's vision. It's not a bad film, but it is badly presented.

If you ask me, it sure as hell was! First off, putting the allegations against him aside, Ezra does a great job playing Barry 1. He feels like he's taking things mostly seriously, something I didn't expect based on his performance in Justice League. Barry 2 on the other hand was a little annoying, and only really worked when playing off our main Barry. Michael Keaton and Sasha Calle were both great, especially Keaton. He was probably the best part! The CGI was very hit or miss. I t either looked fantastic or really really bad! The plot was engaging and quite emotional. The problem though was that Barry's arc was ruined 30 seconds after it was resolved, which really soured my thoughts on the movie. It's fun and epic, emotional and tragic, The Flash isn't as amazing as I wanted it to be, but it's still a great movie, despite it's flaws. Problem is, I don't think this is a movie that will get any better on rewatch, and I feel this is a movie I will end up liking less and less. Hopefully, that doesn't end up being the case! Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. An utter disappointment, the CGI looked straight out of Heavy Rain, the story is one of the stupidest things I've ever seen and also makes zero sense, Ezra Miller is such a terrible actor that you dread ever having to see him in another movie and while jokes work for the character of Flash, they weren't good here and Gal Gadot had an uncharacteristic acting blunder in this film. Her cameo gave everyone second hand embarrassment... I think Kara is done well, same for Michael Keaton's Batman but other than that, an absolute nightmare of a movie. The ending sucks and also makes no sense, "I moved the tomatoes up and fricked up the multiverse again but I didn't think that basically making the same mistake again would have consequences" Just a terrible film overall, this was also a blunder by PenguinZ0, calling it a good film... I dug the overall vibe, which really does remind me of that madcap tone that I loved so much in "It Chapter Two." I thought Miller did a terrific job with the material at hand, which also really resonated with me. Again, it's just those visual effects that I think hold this back from true greatness. Expand

I think it's mostly due to many cooks in the kitchen with no clear vision for story or arcs. The main character is portrayed by someone who is in etched in controversy, de facto element here that doesn't help either or the promos. These movies or tentpoles are made on a budget for heavy scale and the CGI for the same is deplorable. DC used to be better with their earlier movies. Some of the sequences intended for the laughs fall flat. The elements and themes borrow a portion out of what we see in superhero movies that have already tested the waters coming to multiverse concept and thus fatigue inducing. The story isn't engaging as much and the last act is terribly done. This is a product seemingly affected by development constraints, creative differences and delays over time. Not a PASS, definitely. And sadly another flop on the cards for DC. Expand

Better than I thought it would be. I feel like the movie is being attacked by either people how hate Ezra Miller or people how hate that the Snyder universe is getting erased, as well as by people who did not like the marketing for this movie which claim this movie to be the best superhero movie ever.

The reality is that this movie is solid. It's not the best movie ever. But it's better than most of the Marvel phase 4 movies. It's better than Eternals, Thor 4, Ant Man Quantumania, Black widow, and better than Shazam, Black Adam, Wonder Woman 1984.

There is questionable CGI at times, that's true. But they are brief moments that don't really take away from the experience. The humor mostly lands, because of the funny things that happen to Barry, but the second Barry was kinda annoying. I liked most cameos, I like that the women in this movie are sexy and feminine. Super girl looks great and i hope she stays as super girl in the new James Gunn universe. She has a strong screen presence and for now she isn't the stereotype of Mary Sue or Girl boss that needs no man or anyone because she is better and stronger than anyone else". She is down to earth, respects men around her, she is compassionate, while still having her own agency. It would be a shame if they replaced her.

The message of the movie is: "Accept what has happened, learn from it, and use that knowledge to guide you in living your best life now".

HaileyAs tied in to the Snyderverse as it is, linking to Man Of Steel eventually, The Flash remembers that superhero movies can be fun. The movie begins and ends with a joke, and is filled with the best "twinning" of actors I can recall. Hailey Mills, Lindsey Lohan, Jeremy Irons, even Nicolas Cage pale in comparison to Ezra Miller's time-crossing duo, where, at times I forgot the same actor was stitched together in scenes and just enjoyed the performances. Andy Mushietti of the "It" films and the underrated Mama, proves to be a wonderful director for this material, as he handles the action scenes with efficiency and style, as well as scenes dealing with loss and emotion. Of course tying it all together is Miller. If they don't work, the movie doesn't work. Keaton's grizzled Wayne/Batman is the cherry on top. It may have come in late following all the multiverse themed movies and TV shows (Loki), but The Flash is a fun time. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. the cgi is terrible it looks like a ps2 cutscene when he goes back in time and everything freezes around him. Ezra is annoying 2 times more no thanks to hack synder for casting this clown in the first place. the story drags along and it doesn't pick up the pace until a half hour in. speaking of dragging keaton and Sasha Calle is the only highlight of this movie and carried this movie in the 2nd half of this flim. Sasha Calle is the perfect Supergirl (no feminist agenda, no sjw none of that propaganda) it was all character growth and willingness to help. however this is where the spoilers come in so after Ezra's flash went back in time to save his mother bcuz his father was failed from the justice system due to the camera footage that would've confirmed his alibi but due to the footage being damaged they court was going to find him guilty so Barry want back in time not only to prevent his mother from being killed over a can of tomatoes but save his father as well. the trailers pretty much spoiled the rest of the plot and the 2nd half of the movie. future Barry got past barry to reenact to get past barry to get electrocuted to get his powers in doing so future barry lost his powers so he spent 20 minutes trying to get keaton to electrocute him after the introduction of keaton's bruce wayne alot of nods to jack Nicolson's joker including the laughing teeth i love the subtle references and homage to 89 and returns batman movies in burtonverse. i love those parts but here's my problems with the movie so far keaton's bruce wayne has long grey hair was a drunk can i imagine tim burton ever doing that too his batman NO i just don't see burton bruce wayne being an alcoholic and there's no much told on what happened to him and dark flash is that punch barry is how he go into this universe and landed exactly where he needed to get too, how convenient. and he see too old ppl walking together and nobody else is around to see him use his flash powers to steal their clothes so he can wear to see his mother alive and his father out of trouble, how convenient. and as soon as his parents sees him nobody questions anything strange that their son is wearing female and t-shirt and a baggy brown pant that can barely fit him, how convenient. and then when future barry saw past barry his excuse to going outside was literally "i have to take a s*** outside excuse me" first off who tf says that to their parents??? and second how did his parents not just see past barry directly in front of them since the curtain on the window was open and he was literally waving at them only for a spit second before barry tackles him and they didn't see him, because barry use his powers?, how convenient. if u saw the trailers then u saw the entire second half of the movie but for spoilers yes, clerk kent is dead in this universe apparently zod killed him before he made it to earth, but that's not my problem with this move the problem is killing off Sasha Calle's supergirl 10 times bcuz of zack's version of barry allen is incompetent, so she kept dying in a repeating cycle that's what caused past barry to become dark flash it's LAME! for those two reasons then it gets worse bcuz they killed keaton's batman twice in seconds like why bring him back and on top of that they replaced keaton with clooney at the end. this is the biggest F U to all of burton verse batman fans because we waited for 30-40 years to finally get keaton to become batman again just for him to get killed off and get replace by Clooney. this is a TERRIBLE FAN FILM! Pretty much everything that can be said has been already said in other reviews. Ezra is...Ezra. He was an ok Flash on his own, but with two of them, its a mess. Whoever wrote their interactions is an idiot.
Cameos were fine. Not enough impact or screen time. They should have given those characters far more screen time and development. Supergirl was cringe, but not as bad as expected. Rest were good, but not enough.
Story is just a discounted Flashpoint. Original had some flare, but whoever adapted it did not have the chops to do it anywhere as good as original.
Its watchable and it will let you thru 2+ hours without falling asleep. But i have no interest in revisiting it again.

Generally when it comes to cgi I never complain but not only was it at times quite bad... it was everywhere... I can't think of another film quite so dependent on cgi. There are some good moments in this film and some excellent performances. I really enjoyed Michael Keaton as Batman, he nailed it. Also, Sasha Calle played supergirl perfectly in my opinion. All in all not a bad film but not something I'd rewatch. I was pretty hyped for this one but it's a bad start to the new DCU, particularly unfortunate since Marvel has been losing steam lately in my opinion.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. After so many terrible superhero movies I'm probably rating a decent one to high. But at the very least I had genuine fun watching the Flash, a childlike grin on my face and I wasn't dying inside like in Guardians 3 or the abysmal Thor Love & Thunder. So take this review with a grain of salt.

What works for me? First and foremost the Batmans. I always like Ben Affleck in the role and he rocks Batman again. Michael Keaton is a scene stealer, it is so good seeing him in this iconic role again, to a big part he carries the movie. Sasha Calle is a surpringly good supergirl. She doesn't get the screentime she deserves, but it is easy to see, why she was cast. Most of the effects are good, once again especially everything centered around Batman. The soundtrack is pretty iconic, I liked it a lot. And I loved all the chameos, some of them are really nuts, never thought I will ever see Nic Cage playing Superman, or George Clooney as Bruce Wayne again. And finally, the movie works in blending over the top action with some heavier, emotional moments. What doesn't work? Unfortunately Ezra Miller as the Flash. He is a very limited actor, kind of a one trick pony, he only can do weird and he does the exact same weird as in e.g. the Phantastic Beasts franchise. He has some really good scenes with proper acting, but most of the time you kinda wish for Grant Gustin to take over. In addition, all people around him are very weird too, there is not a decent human being in sight. Some of the effects are terribly bad, especially the showdown. It is not PS3 level of graphics, as some are saying, but it is simply too much. And finally, the story is paper thin and very straightforward, if you are looking for something to sink your teeth in, better bring snacks.

All in all, it is not a masterpiece, but it surely is on of the best post Inifity War superhero movie out there.

Beyond the action-packed sequences, Ezra Miller also delves into the emotional core of Barry Allen. He brings a sense of depth and complexity to the character, exploring the traumas and personal struggles that have shaped him.
Visually, Affleck's Batman remained as impressive as ever. The action sequences featuring Batman were intense and thrilling, with Affleck effortlessly portraying the character's physical prowess and tactical brilliance.
Keaton's return to the role was nothing short of extraordinary, and his presence in the film added a layer of depth and nostalgia that fans of the Dark Knight will truly appreciate.
Sasha Calle brought a fresh and vibrant energy to Supergirl, embodying the character's sense of hope and optimism. Her performance was heartfelt, showcasing Supergirl's strong moral compass and her desire to protect and inspire those around her. Andy Muschietti skillfully weaves together thrilling action sequences with poignant character development, allowing the story to unfold in a way that is both exciting and emotionally satisfying.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A simple and dramatic film. Ezra is performing well, as usual. Kaeton and Sasha are good characters, although I think their screen time could be longer. Nostalgic and exciting cameos. Indeed, a great wrap-up film to the now-dead DCEU. Expand

I'm surprised by the bad reviews from some people who are some fans of the Marvel universe, really I even saw a score of 1/10 for this film, and I wonder why they hate this film so much, is it because they hate Ezra or CGI but I don't know 1/10 hey not even a C grade movie deserves such a low score you think they make a 1 dollar movie and a cell phone camera this movie isn't as bad as the critics reviews it's a really fun movie two hours was less for me i really enjoyed it and the cameo was really shocking, keaton was right really really cool here, ezra plays the role very well, and sasha calle which he is also good. Some of the action is really stunning with dark flash as the main villain is not boring to watch. The moral message of this film is also very deep about giving up something and moving on moving forward oh my gosh I cried when barry met his mother that was very touching. The drawback is of course the visual effects especially in the final half, which really needs to be improved especially the fight on a large scale. only, but very influential with the development of his character. Overall this is a good film, almost better than Spiderman no way home, don't mind what critics say, just enjoy the film, you won't regret it
my score is 9/10

It had me hooked from the baby scene to seeing kara in action (and oh how i loved this super girl!). The cgi was not the strongest at times, however never removed my investment in the story. With that being said, the final act while making the movie complete, still left me a bit unsatisfied. Could’ve made my score a 9 if it stuck the landing, but worth it nonetheless. Expand
