As a preestablished fan of the series, I not only knew what I was in for and was looking forward to it, I'm pretty sure I knew right off the bat how I was going to feel about it. This gives you pretty much everything that a single-sitting binge of a number of episodes would give you — a healthy amount of that trademark humor, the winsome voice-acting and some occasional beats of effective emotionality. I suppose you could say that this is maybe to a fault; that maybe "The Bob's Burgers Movie" didn't necessarily do anything all that more grand than any of the series' best episodes; that the film doesn't entirely justify itself beyond what a few two-part episodes in the series have already accomplished. These thoughts crossed my mind, but were fleeting, as the novelty of seeing these lovable characters onscreen for the first time eventually superseded all quibbles. An enjoyable time, to be sure. As a fan of the show, this was exactly the experience I was hoping for. The character interactions and especially the music exceeded my expectations! Lots of jokes hit, even for those who weren't as familiar with the show.

There are several episodes I enjoyed more than this movie, but I still had a great time with it, and the others in the theater were laughing just as much as I was.

I’ve read some reviews calling this a long episode and I don’t agree. The music is fantastic as usual and the “libretto,” look it up, is flawless. My complaints are that it doesn’t feel long enough. There was no mystery to the mystery and it was too obvious. Don’t get me wrong, there are several jarring or high stakes moments that I didn’t expect, but they somehow fumble these by not putting enough into actually fleshing out the mystery a bit more. If you love the show the movie is a must see. If you’re never seen the show THEN WHY ARE YOU HERE!!! - kidding. It’s still a fun watch and you will get everything going on. They are strong characters and hopefully seeing the movie will make you want to try the show out.… Expand

Super fun movie. Its great that we still have smart, sweet shows these days.
