A surprisingly interesting film about a man and a woman who set a flight record in a balloon. The film starts out as a gimmick for the woman and scientific exploration for the man, and ends up as gripping and suspenseful fight for survival. Astonishingly enjoyable.

The high-stakes of The Aeronauts puts you on the edge of your seat through its perilous journey further elevated by the considerably effecting performances that reveal the substantial relationship to the well established characters.

Some really gorgeous balloon scenes, really beautiful, and talented actors keep this movie afloat and watchable. The story is not really there, however, and seems they neglected a very interesting real history for some bland movie romance that didn't come off at all.

The movie claims to be based on a true story. Yes James Glaisher did do the things that were portrayed in the movie; however, Amelia didn't exist. Actually the movie replaces Henry Coxwell for a fictional female character. Stop **** with history to push an agenda.
