Movie was amazing! The kills were extremely gory and the movie gets intense as it goes. Definitely a good one since the original. Hope they continue and make a sequel after this one!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Just a fun horror gore fest plus nice to watch bunch of spoilt kids getting their guts ripped out. There some political messages like gun violence and some lgbtq messages here and there, but the no gun violence main characters use guns to defeat him and its leatherface of course it doesn't work Expand

The lighting, framing, composition, camera motion and camera angles are top notcht, they really add to the plot by creating such an unique ambiance. The movie chooses to emphasize the victims's role, and in a very specific case their background story, even if not fully explored, rather than Leatherface's, who seems to have a more secundary role in the plot. The hate towards this movie is moved by its inconvenient social commentary. If on the one hand the "woke brigade" can get easily pissed by the most evident satirical moments presented here, on the other, the ignorant righties may fail to understand the satire itself. Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a good motion picture, even if the plot could use a better and far deeper character development. Expand

Incredibly entertaining movie! It’s scary, and is extremely graphic and grotesque! Be warned!! It’s scary, and is extremely graphic and grotesque! Be warned!! My wife was terrified of certain scenes, and I held up my smartphone to block certain scenes leading up to the death of a character. I respect others’ criticism of this movie. Sure, the “kids” cast are albeit annoying, but so are every other TCM’s group of “kids” or young adults cast. The movie bus scene is well done and was unexpected. I thought this was one of best in the franchise. Expand

Fun film. AllFun film. It mocked a lot of the postmodernist tropes of current cinema, actually portrayed rural characters as more than one dimensional monsters and called out the postmodern coastal elitist set on some of their unselfaware hypocrisy. All the characters had more depth than you'd expect. I actually cared about more than one person in this which surprised me. Some inventive kills and it's an all out glorious SPLATTERFEST. It's nice when folks in the entertainment industry remember that their primary function is to "entertain." Expand

Honestly I enjoyed this entry much more than the last few. Violent, grizzly and very gruesome, the story isn’t the best but it’s not awful either. I had a lot of fun watching it. Violent, grizzly and very gruesome, the story isn’t the best but it’s not awful either. I had a lot of fun watching it. Definitely not one of the worst horror movies to release over the last few years. Will be interesting to see where they go with the franchise in the future. If you’ve got Netflix and you enjoy horror movies (especially violent, gory slasher movies) then give this a watch! Expand

Either you will think that this is exploitative flick or a pretty good, tense and gory 're-quel' from the mind of 'Don't Breathe'. It's a short film that can live very well on Netflix.

Hmmm I don't know what people expect but it was dumb and gory. A sequel rather than a reboot. I was thinking it'd go full full political early on but didn't really go there. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A beautiful work of bloodstained art. What seemed at first to be a underhanded slap in the face to "middle America" turned out to be a entrail laden slasher masterpiece. With solid casting pretty good performances and TOP NOTCH special effects and cinematography. It's The anti VVitch and is better for it. This is not "elevated horror" This is Texas Chainsaw Massacre Expand

I went in with low expectations and found this to be pretty fun... Good old dumb ass bloody brutal fun! If you like disposable characters, silly plot and buckets of blood, you may be in for a good time!
