This film is legitimately the embodiment of fun and action-packed goodness. Make sure to stick to the end because a surprise is waiting for ya.

I feel like this movie was more comfortable than the first in embracing its bizarre nature. This movie is better than the previous one, there's more action, less boring scenes and I love the development of the characters, specially Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey), which has good humour, Knuckles being tricked and then betrayed by the doctor, Tails being helpful instead of a coward partner, and I loved the appareance of Super Sonic in the final fight and the post-credit scene which is a teaser for Shadow in the third movie.… Expand

Idris Elba nailed it as knuckles. If you can stomach a for what seemed like a 30 minute plot halt humans only wedding drama regarding a minor character from sonic 1 and a new one you will enjoy this movie.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is a great Video Game Movie, It's so Charming and Funny, This is like Spider-Man No Way Home or Avengers Endgame. We got more Sonic this time, and also This Movie has some Familier Faces like Tails and Knuckles, and also There are more Scenes with Dr. Eggman, and this respects the Game's Lore.

Another Thing is the Acting, I think the Voice Acting in the Movie really shines and also alongside the Human Characters in the Movie, and Some Jokes in the Movie feels Silly to Me like the Blue Justice, and also the post credits scene with Shadow the Hedgehog is so Amazing, also We get Epic Fights in the Movie.

But the Visual Effects on the Movie is pretty good, and It has good Voice Acting, and I love how they ejected the Lore of Sonic the Hedgehog to this Masterpiece, This is much fun and is the Best Video Game Adaption that is ever Made. As a Movie on it's Own, I will give it a 8.6/10 and as a Sonic Fan, I will give it 10/10 and Overall, This Film is great in my Opinion.… Expand

I absolutely do not care what anyone says; I'm giving this a 10 based on the amount of fun I had. It's silly and somewhat nonsensical at times, but unlike the first movie it truly understands what makes the Sonic franchise so special andI absolutely do not care what anyone says; I'm giving this a 10 based on the amount of fun I had. We need more movies like this.

Growing up on Sonic the Hedgehog games, this film managed to capture everything we could ever have asked for and more. This is our Spider-Man: No Way Home or Avengers: Endgame, a total celebration of a series so near and dear to us.

Such a great movie. Extremely charming, funny, full of cute and funny characters, it's just such a solid and good movie. It's not without its flaws, some jokes do feel a bit too goofy at times and some pacing is fast but it never felt tooSuch a great movie. It's not without its flaws, some jokes do feel a bit too goofy at times and some pacing is fast but it never felt too fast. It was well-paced for most of the movie. Another thing is the acting, all voice actors shine, all human actors shine, and everyone did a really good job. I especially love how they inject a good amount of sonic lore as well as it was a very good touch that gives everything a lot of depth. Visual effects are honestly, really well done with only one scene that felt a little bit off but it was incredible for the most part. There are definitely some moments that could be a bit shorter but it is such a minor thing compared to a large number of positives and it makes the movie more fun anyway. This movie is just fun, respectful to the material, and charming and I think it is the best video game movie adaptation ever made.

As a movie on its own, I would give it a solid 8.5/10 but if you're a Sonic fan like me you will be in love with how well all the characters were represented and all the elements from the games being on the big screen. As a sonic-related "thing" it is honestly a 9.7/10 for me. It's very hard to go wrong with watching this movie, it never feels boring, story is a bit basic but still has twists and is solid. Overall, great.… Expand

If scenes could be longer and have room to breathe before moving on and the tone was turned up ~10% more serious and didn't use already outdated references, this movie would be a 10/10

But there's a huge amount of respect for the lore that comes through and is extremely appreciated. Especially in times where other adaptations seemingly just want to throw out established lore for a "Hollywood can do it better" take.

Can't wait to buy the blu ray to go over all the details.… Expand
