Primeiramente é preciso elogiar a ambientação dos personagens, praticamente o roteiro dá uma aula sobre jornalismo investigativo, e neste quesito confesso de estarEste filme lembra muito o "Spotlight", mas com um tom mais seco e documental.
Primeiramente é preciso elogiar a ambientação dos personagens, praticamente o roteiro dá uma aula sobre jornalismo investigativo, e neste quesito confesso de estar diante de uma grande obra. Ao assumir o tom mais cru, o filme ganha em veracidade e credibilidade.
No entanto, pra quem espera maior imersão, talvez o filme seja aborrecido, e eu também diria um pouco longo para sua finalidade. Sem contar que a citação aos vários nomes pode fazer com que a maioria se perca na história.
Uma coisa que não consegui compreender foi o porquê de não mostrar os rostos dos abusadores, o filme poderia ser processado? As mulheres estão ali se expondo, então seria mais justo o abusador ganhar destaque (em minha visão).… Expand

I thought it was one of the best movies of the year. It is constantly engaging and extremely well acted. Carey Mulligan and Zoe Kazan I think both deserve oscar nominations. These reporters are inspiring to watch as they stay up all night atI thought it was one of the best movies of the year. It is constantly engaging and extremely well acted. Carey Mulligan and Zoe Kazan I think both deserve oscar nominations. These reporters are inspiring to watch as they stay up all night at work to get the article as perfect as they can. The disturbing shots of dark hotel rooms and hallways during the flashback scenes really got to me and the trauma of the victims were so well captured. It is a simple yet profound story and I loved it. I definitely want to see it again.… Expand

I am much more respectful of journalists after seeing the movie; you have to be passionate, relentless, fearless, and intelligent to do the job well and the characters in this movie (and real life) are all of those things. They truly started a movement with this story and I think it’s a worthy thing to document with film.… Expand

This film, based off the Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times expository article and best-novel of the same name, details the journalistic process undertaken by reporters Megan Twohey and Jodi Cantor in exposing powerful film producer andThis film, based off the Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times expository article and best-novel of the same name, details the journalistic process undertaken by reporters Megan Twohey and Jodi Cantor in exposing powerful film producer and executive Harvey Weinstein for his decades long predatory sexual harassment and assault on hundreds of women within the film industry and kicking off the #metoo movement that saw the downfall and reckoning of various other powerful figures within the entertainment industry; a movement that made workplaces and people everywhere change the way sexual harrassment policies and behavior are viewed and handled for the better. First off, the film does borrow heavily from themes and tropes of past similar journalism-centered films, such as 'All the President's Men' and 'Spotlight'. However, there's no denying the film's insight and candor into the heavy and troubling subject matter it depicts. Various detailed descriptions of sexual harassment and assault/rape from victims in the film (including an appearance from actress/victim Ashley Judd herself) enhance the film's impact and story rather well. Furthermore, Carey Mulligan and Zoe Kazan as Twohey and Cantor respectively give headstrong and dedicated performances here. Overall, besides Mulligan and Kazan's remarkable and committed performances, while rather formulaic and traditional in its approach, it's still accomplishes what it set out to do rather well for the most part, which is to recount the story of one of the most groundbreaking and important articles of this current century that made workplaces and people everywhere that much safer and more professional, and gave victims of harassment and abuse everywhere the much needed voice and courage that they were searching for, as well as hope that they're never alone in their experiences and struggles.… Expand

If a movie has Carrie Mulligan in it, I'm there, and once again she does not disappoint. This is a well made/investigative reporter thriller that unfortunately we all know the final outcome of. Which is why these films really and truly work best when they play it straight, focusing on the facts in a no-nonsense, straightforward way, with no grandstanding or exaggerated histrionics, and that’s one of the innate strengths of this latest offering in this genre. Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times investigation and best-selling book of the same name, “She Said” provides a fact-based recounting of the efforts of reporters Megan Twohey (Carey Mulligan) and Jodi Kantor (Zoe Kazan) to uncover and document the blistering sexual misconduct allegations leveled against high-powered Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein. The duo’s reporting helped lead to Weinstein’s eventual conviction and the launching of the #MeToo movement aimed at exposing a clandestine culture of sexual abuse against women throughout the entertainment industry and beyond. And, as a onetime-practicing journalist myself, I appreciate the unencumbered approach the filmmaker has employed here. However, just because the film takes a rather direct approach in telling its story, that doesn’t mean it’s without its compelling moments of emotional heft, particularly in the testimony of the victims, including some, like actress Ashley Judd, who appear in the film playing themselves. Director Maria Schrader may not draw upon anything overly inventive here, and the film is admittedly a tad too long, but it nevertheless chronicles the reporting process clearly, concisely and unburdened by technical jargon or gaps in explaining the legal and journalistic consequences involved. It also features a fine ensemble cast, most notably Mulligan (in one of her finest performances) and Jennifer Ehle and Samantha Morton in significant supporting roles. While some have called this work “pedestrian” and “plodding,” I respectfully disagree with those characterizations and would readily put it alongside works like “All the President’s Men” (1976) and “Spotlight” (2015), movies that detractors of this picture have contended are far superior when, in fact, they’re all mostly on par. This offering genuinely deserves a fair shake, something it’s regrettably not getting to the degree it deserves (thanks to its often-unfair torpedoing by cynical critics and misogynist trolls). It brings to life an important story that was long in the offing and that has, thankfully, had a lasting, deep, culture-shifting impact.… Expand

I read both the negative and positive reviews and noted the very personal reactions to this film I hoped that reviews on this site were based on objectivity assessing the film as a cinematic work and not on the reviewers' opinion ofWow. "Triumph of the Will" is generally considered a great cinematic work despite glorifying the Third Reich. Forget that the director was a woman. "She Said" portrays the plight of these women without exploiting the situation and shows what they were up against. And apparently still are. See it with an open mind.… Expand

This movie does a pretty good job of accurately telling the story of how Weinstein was caught while also being entertaining to watch. The acting was good, and the pacing was good.

She said befasst sich mit den beiden Journalistinnen, wie diese mit den Opfern sprechen, recherchieren und wie es zur Veröffentlichung kam.

She Said ähnelt der Art stark dem Oscar ausgezeichneten Film Spotlight, wo es auch um das Thema Missbrauch geht. Der Film lägt wert auf starke Dialoge und zeigt die Situationen nicht, sondern erzählt diese und zeigt die Reaktionen der Betroffenen nach der Tat oder zeigen die Orte, wo diese begangen wurden. Im Film mit dabei ist Gwyneth Paltrow, die sich selbst spiel und über ihre Erfahrung mit Weinstein erzählt. Der Film ist nicht leicht zu verstehen, aber trotzdem packt der Film einen und er wird nicht langweilig. Der Film bringt einem dazu, sich mehr mit dem Thema zu befassen und ist gut inszeniert. Wer Spotlight mochte, sollte sich diesen Film ebenfalls anschauen. She Said ist nicht für jeden geeignet, wenn man selbst Erfahrungen mit dem Thema hat oder dieses Thema nicht verarbeitet bekommt, sollte ihn sich nicht anschauen.
