This was a good film that I enjoyed and will watch again with my HS daughter. There is good character development through the movie and the acting is sincere and convincing. Superior to the usual drivel from Hollywood these days.

This movie demonstrated the hope and will to survive while Simultaneously letting go of the loss of a parent. I also loved the father-daughter relationship and how hope allowed them to break down their walls.This movie also touched upon mental health and the importance of providing a strong support system for those inflicted with this illness. Loved it! To start, the topic of emergency preparedness and life saving very much intrigues me. I’m not much for graphic movie UNLESS the images serve a purpose, and though the the death scenes did turn my stomach I totally understand why inLoved it! Some would say that this movie "glorifies school shootings" or "opens old wounds for Americans." The opposite couldn't be more true - the film exposes the pure evil of people who commit such vile acts as well as promote the virtues many in America could do more with, especially a close family and valor in the face of adversity. At the end of the day Zoey Hull is the hero we could all do better to embody. I've seen the movie twice and is definitely at the top of any list of my favorites.… Expand

Run Hide Fight is a perfectly acceptable movie. The premise is entirely believable, the action isn't overdone, the acting is par to good. The one complaint I have issue with is the pacing and density of the plot, as opposed to movies where scenes get lost on the cutting room floor, it's like this movie had to wipe scraps off the floor to fill time, leading to a lot of scenes that would not change the movie overmuch if they did not exist.

I do not understand the negative reviews for this movie. They seem to be centered around the word "exploitative". I can't imagine what a movie could do to portray a school shooting better, with more respect to the parties involved. It seems like the objection, as opposed to something the movie does wrong, is that the movie exists. Your mileage may vary as to whether you think a movie about a school shooting is appropriate, but if your objection is the subject matter, you aren't actually reviewing the movie, are you?… Expand

Never in this film was there any awkward moments like or awkward pacing. Acting was from all parts were just right and carried the story well. The big thing about this movie is that you can feel the intensity of the fear of students and teachers in an active shooting situation. Each reaction of explosions and gun shots in this movie were authentic reactions. It's interesting that this movie does not have a lot of profanity in situations where profanity may be expected, and it doesn't feel awkward when profanity is presented. Profanity was presented as a real reaction and does not feel inauthentic. Bookending resolution was satisfying. Special effects, gunshots, and pyrotechnics were superb in this movie. Antagonist was someone that you do feel like you can hate pretty well by his actions. Though he is no Joker, if the Antagonist had a deeper more complex philosophy, it can make the movie much more interesting.

Read the critic's reviews, and it just felt like they were detached from reality and detached from the people actually affected by issues like these.… Expand

School shootings are absolutely horrendous. And this film absolutely captured that, while giving us a glimmer of hope. It was a story that was easy to follow and hard to stop watching. I think it highlighted what an attack on a school could look like if organized and done today. The emphasis on media clicks and becoming famous through streaming was on the nose. Sadly too many people (good and bad) measure their self-worth by clicks and reviews from people they don't even know.

If you want a movie that is honest, that does not force any particular agenda down your throat, that has a young girl who rises to challenge a very bad situation, then this is your film. Give it a chance and ignore the critics.… Expand

I LOVED THE MOVIE! A lot of people compare it to DIE HARD (but in a school) and there are certainly many elements of it. However, the story is fresh and you cannot help to get drawn into the characters on a personal level. You can relate toI LOVED THE MOVIE! The action, terror, filming, script...there are zero half measures in this movie.

Let me put it like this. A lot of movies and programs (almost all of them) I’ll watch while playing on my phone. I couldn’t turn away from RUN HIDE FIGHT and didn’t so much as check my texts during the almost 2 hours of this movie. It was exactly what I needed and kept my adrenaline cranked up the whole time.… Expand

I thoroughly enjoyed it, and the movie has stuck with me for days on end. For those who can handle the violence of a rated 'R' film, I'd highly recommend it.… Expand

As I think about the themes in the film and read that Daily Wire is "conservative," I can only conclude that "critics" are a bunch of political shills who are butt-hurt that this film is so good and need to express their indignation by using frilly over-intellectualized prose to tear it down. Basically, if it's got a "13" average score I'd recommend viewing that as an "87" instead (100-13 = 87).… Expand

There wasn’t enough depth or sophistication in the story to make it believable and this left if predictable and quite linear. Yes. They were certainly times you were glued to the screen because of the suspense of killers running around a school. But actually, they didn’t do much or go anywhere so after a while things became static.

Things just felt a little rushed, with the right pacing and the interconnecting part would have flowed better to make a more dynamic film.… Expand

They seem to spend more time trying to make overcomplicated, robust nonsense than they do putting meaningful meat into their text. I'd say I'm shocked, but these are the same people that think Cuties was a good idea. Back to the movie: First, the action is constant throughout. Second, the plot is relatable...everyone has been to High School and the stereotypical characters are played to perfection (which is why I've concluded that the payed reviewers probably went to private schools). In fact, the wit and sarcasm throughout, especially by the antagonists was both funny and sick....a real positive when you need that role..and kudos to the villain for being extremely hateable. Lastly, the character development within the action was also well written. I'm going to watch this movie again this weekend, especially since Hollywood hasn't produced anything worth risking getting popcorn tongue over, let alone COVID, since the Joker.… Expand

I was pleasantly surprised to find this movie pretty good. Definitely not a movie for the whole family to watch, so put those kids to bed and flip it on. I found the storyline, overall effects, and acting to be better than anticipated. I wasI was pleasantly surprised to find this movie pretty good. As you know the so called “critics” are just angry liberals who probably didn’t even watch the movie. You can taste there tears, hear there cries and see them raging about how good the movie actually turned.

4/10 for acting and camera usage.
2/10 for story.

I thought after seeing this movies rating on IMDb that this would be a good movie, it was barely watchable…

After watching it I went to read the reviews and found that this movie is rated positively mostly by people that have reviewed only this movie, and people that have rated it negatively mostly had other written reviews also.

I think that some organisation has encouraged its members to write positive reviews about this movie, and I also think that this movie was written and funded mostly by NRA and friends. (i hope i'm wrong and these are just stupid people with too much money)

If you watch, remember that ~1% of all people are schizophrenic (~3.3 million from U.S.A)
and thus guns should not be available to civilians (if at all), among other reasons like alcohol abuse, domestic violence and ego.

THIS MOVIE MADE ME LOSE SOME OF MY HOPE FOR HUMANITY… Expand

Critics were never going to like this film. They only care about their agendas, not what the film is actually like. This is actually a great film! It's well written, it's well produced and enjoyable.
