Very good entertainment. The left will hate it. Real Americans defending themselves without relying on some bureaucracy to bail them out. We will see more of the heroine, unless she is blacklisted (likely). Go see it for an enjoyable couple of hours.

I also loved the father-daughter relationship and how hope allowed them to break down their walls.This movie also touched upon mental health and the importance of providing a strong support system for those inflicted with this illness. When I first saw the previews for this movie, my first impression was that it looked really good. However, I had an undertone of hoping that it wasn't going to be corny. I was notRun Hide Fight was better than I anticipated it would be.

When I first saw the previews for this movie, my first impression was that it looked really good. However, I had an undertone of hoping that it wasn't going to be corny. I was not disappointed! I would pit this movie against any of the other thrillers out right now, or recently released.

This movie also exposes some of the problems with most school systems' standard protocol in response to emergency situations to this day, which I find to be valuable conversation-starters.

I hope to see more movies like this come out in the near future.… Expand

I loved so many things about this movie. There was enough to please both my husband and me. This movie brings up so many topics of conversation about our school system and the protection of our children while under their care. It got my husband and I talking about it after. This movie was definitely worth watching as I extended to watch half one night and half the next and ended up just watching the whole thing straight through with my wife.

Honestly, this movie is not a perfect 10, but it is really good, and screw the super biased idiot critics.

I'm not the biggest action movie person, so some of the suspension of disbelief required wasn't up my alley. However, I did realize after watching it that it is much, much better at balancing entertaining action and reality than most action movies I've seen. Since Die Hard is the go to comparison, I'd say it's more believable than some of the stunts that are magically survived in Die Hard.

The characters are by-and-large good! Some look slightly too old to be in high school, but, again, so do the actors in that 70's show, for instance. Isabel, the main actress, was excellent and one of my favorite female leads in an action heavy movie. She's realistic in her character (I've known a few real people like her), doesn't magically do the impossible, and captures the screen when on it.

I'll watch again, probably, and despite the distribution company, you too should give it a shot.… Expand

I think it highlighted what an attack on a school could look like if organized and done today. The emphasis on media clicks and becoming famous through streaming was on the nose. Sadly too many people (good and bad) measure their self-worth by clicks and reviews from people they don't even know.

If you want a movie that is honest, that does not force any particular agenda down your throat, that has a young girl who rises to challenge a very bad situation, then this is your film. Give it a chance and ignore the critics.… Expand

Don't judge this movie based on the ratings it's been receiving from mainstream critics, almost all of those reviews are, quite predictably, ideologically driven (I know this because I've read most of them, and it's like they haven't even watched the movie...and maybe they haven't), the movie being produced by The Daily Wire, a prominent right-wing commentary site. But the movie doesn't try to push right-wing messaging onto you. I think a person on either side of the political divide can watch this without constantly having to scoff at abysmally inserted ideological tropes, something which is quite a rare thing to experience nowadays. It's an all around action packed thriller with the sole purpose of entertaining the audience, which it succeeds at by maintaining a constant sense of tension through the entirety of its length, and keeping a firm hold on the overall theme that it began with.
I highly recommend watching this, it makes for an exciting and fulfilling watch with friends. A breath of fresh air and something of actual entertainment value, among myriads of bland art movies, mindless franchises and sloppy reboots, that have sadly become the status quo. So, to any filmmaker that cares to listen: More movies like this, please!… Expand

Overall, it was pretty dang great! The lead actress did a phenomenal job, as did the rest of the cast; they weren’t hokey or corny, like what you’d expect from teenagers. Of course, it’s a tough movie to watch because of the social and political times we live in, but it is still a very entertaining movie — It keeps you on the edge of your seat, and you’ll find yourself glued to the TV, not wanting to take your eyes away.

It’s pretty clear how great the movie is when the “critics” can’t even muster a single positive thing to say, but the audience has overwhelmingly positive ratings.
I will watch this movie multiple times, and I’ll encourage my friends and family to do the same.

And no, ScienceAdvisor, I’m not a paid reviewer, nor am I a member of the production team. I’m a person just like you.. well, maybe not “just” like you; I have a good taste in movies ;)… Expand

Suffers from some stereotypes of thrillers like having no idea how guns work. But has one major appeal, that of escapism. Celebrate the hero, demonize the perpetrators. No political messaging getting forced down your throat.

Run Hide Fight is a perfectly acceptable movie. The premise is entirely believable, the action isn't overdone, the acting is par to good. The one complaint I have issue with is the pacing and density of the plot, as opposed to movies where scenes get lost on the cutting room floor, it's like this movie had to wipe scraps off the floor to fill time, leading to a lot of scenes that would not change the movie overmuch if they did not exist.

I do not understand the negative reviews for this movie. They seem to be centered around the word "exploitative". I can't imagine what a movie could do to portray a school shooting better, with more respect to the parties involved. It seems like the objection, as opposed to something the movie does wrong, is that the movie exists. Your mileage may vary as to whether you think a movie about a school shooting is appropriate, but if your objection is the subject matter, you aren't actually reviewing the movie, are you?… Expand

Edgy and relevant. Surprisingly well executed given limited budget. I found the film disturbingly visceral and am sure it will have it's fair share of detractors. Otherwise, enjoy a film from an alternative media source, the Daily Wire.

Fabulous movie! Things like security guards that don't have guns. Locking kids in rooms like sardines to be shot at instead of getting them out safely. Great movie… Slowly builds up suspense and does a great job of character development. Zoe is a pillar of women’s strength. It’s a little edgy… So I can’t show it to my daughters quite yet. But this movie screams girl power!

This movie was awesome, it brought me back to the same thrilling emotionally stirring feeling that u had during iron man/spiderman when I felt as if I could really be a hero, it was a movie that instilled values not to give up and to always fight for what's right, even when its not easy too, or SPOILER ALERT, WHEN I LITERALLY HAVE BULLETS IN MY BODY. Zoe, the main character caught against all odds to save her entire school, she was exceptional, and the daily wire is amazing for publishing this exceptional movie. I was lucky to catch the free screening on youtube for the release and it brought me through the ride of my life. This movie invoked some real sadness touching upon zoes relatio ship with her deceased mother from the intro, and as the story progressed it built up to the heroism which I felt she portrayed perfectly. 10/10 for such a fantastic movie.… Expand

An intense, captivating movie with dark themes and messages. The action is very well done and keeps your eyes on the screen, the acting is very solid across the board, my only problem is some of the dialogue comes off as cringey or unrealistic.

An intense, dangerous, but honest look at the problem of school shootings in America. There is tact in depicting such a tough subject. This doesn't glorify violence, but bravery. It will give you heartache, but it was a wonderful journey.

RHF had a great young cast of upcoming actors who put on a great performance. the story was intense keeping you on edge the whole time and realistic. love zoeys inventiveness and ingenuity throughout the film. Movie dealt with interesting questions around school shootings, social media, guns, self responsibility etc. For a film with a small budget it is was a great watch and better than anything i’ve seen on netflix in the past couple months… Expand

The stated purpose of this movie is to provide entertainment to compete with Hollywood so that all of the entertainment you get doesn't come from people who have absolute disdain for middle America.

As such, they wisely sidestep the preaching and the social cliches in favor of engaging characters, excellent performances, and an attempt to foster independent thought and discussion about the real-world conventions here. My only nitpick is that the ending is a tad anti-climactic, but the build-up throughout the movie kept me on the edge of my seat, and seeing the way students and teachers responded really hit hard at a few points.

The Hollywood critics, of course, despise it because they can't handle competition either in the entertainment business or in political beliefs, but don't blindly take their word for it. See the movie for yourself and decide whether this kind of competition is worth supporting. If nothing else, it will definitely keep you entertained.… Expand

This is an adult, intense movie that probably shouldn’t be viewed by anyone under the age of 16, and for the 16-18 year olds it should be viewed only if they are mature and accompanied with a serious discussion with the parents. The movie certainly isn’t perfect: it at times stretches credulity and some of the writing is a bit fake. However, it is still a very engaging and emotionally compelling movie.

The story centers on a school shooting from the perspective of one of the victims. This makes for an uncompromisingly intense experience right through to the end. May is spectacular in her role, which is demanding and emotionally deep. Each of the young adult/child actors does an incredible job in this film in making you believe, and understand, what they’re going through...even those playing the villains, all but one who is fleshed out. As I wrote above, the movie has flaws, but it is surprising to see the critics hate this movie as much as they do. The best I can figure, they hate the movie not because of its artistic statement or the craft in the work, but because the writer/director has made some movies with politically right leaning values and one producer has been accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year old. Despite being distributed by the right wing media company The Daily Wire, the movie is not political in any way. It can be enjoyed by anyone regardless of their political beliefs because the movie doesn’t preach or force or even make any political statements. It is merely a compelling story of a culturally relevant topic. The biggest difficulty for someone looking to legally watch this movie in North America is that it does require a subscription to The Daily Wire, a right wing media outlet owned and created by the controversial Ben Shapiro. The movie will not be enough to entice politically apathetic or liberal minded people to join. But if you are conservative, libertarian, or a free thinker and interested in politics, the movie might be good enough for you to sign up for a trial run and see if there is anything else on the site which interests you.… Expand
