I thought after seeing this movies rating on IMDb that this would be a good movie, it was barely watchable…

After watching it I went to read the reviews and found that this movie is rated positively mostly by people that have reviewed only this movie, and people that have rated it negatively mostly had other written reviews also.

I think that some organisation has encouraged its members to write positive reviews about this movie, and I also think that this movie was written and funded mostly by NRA and friends. (i hope i'm wrong and these are just stupid people with too much money)

If you watch, remember that ~1% of all people are schizophrenic (~3.3 million from U.S.A)
and thus guns should not be available to civilians (if at all), among other reasons like alcohol abuse, domestic violence and ego.

Some would say that this movie "glorifies school shootings" or "opens old wounds for Americans." The opposite couldn't be more true - the film exposes the pure evil of people who commit such vile acts as well as promote the virtues many in America could do more with, especially a close family and valor in the face of adversity. At the end of the day Zoey Hull is the hero we could all do better to embody. I've seen the movie twice and is definitely at the top of any list of my favorites.… Expand

Note to the filmmakers: you didn't need the blasphemy that happened 4x-5x throughout. This includes both "GD" and "JC". I understand that it is pervasive in our modern culture, but it's offensive to many ears and didn't serve the story in any way- i.e. the use of these phrases was clearly not meant as a device to further develop the characters. So why include it? I could say the same about the brief nudity, but at least that was mostly implicit as opposed to the explicit blasphemy.… Expand

Run Hide Fight is a shallow and cringe-inducing cinematic experience with cardboard characters and unsatisfying action scenes.

Now let's be real here for a second. The only reason this movie is relevant at all is because of who is behind it. It's all politics. People here who are insisting it's not political and that is has no agendas either have no idea what they're talking about, or they're commenting in bad faith. The entire point of this movie is politics. It's to push a certain political agenda. So don't be a weasely little coward and just admit it. And I'll be honest: I was biased against it. But it's a bad movie regardless. And it's really pathetic how they created fake accounts to spam 10/10 ratings. Seriously, check the accounts who rated it 10/10. Most were created just to give it a high rating and they don't have any other account activity.

If you were to take out of the equation the terrible people with awful political views behind this movie, you'd only be left with a subpar and mediocre action thriller. No one would care about it. This is the sort of movie you find in the $1 movie bin at your local mall. There are many other movies out there that do much better what this movie is trying to do.… Expand

I hate even bringing this up, but this film is controversial, which is just stupid. It is not a politically themed film at all. Any movie aficionado should be dismayed that we can't enjoy good entertainment in our times without being overtly messaged about political themes and the shows that come out that just want to tell a story without bowing to a detestably reductive cultural movement get trashed.

This was a solid film. It's probably not going to end up in most people's top five, but it was good enough I'll undoubtedly watch it again.… Expand

I’d like to start off by staying this was one of the best movies that I’ve seen in a long time. I’ve watched it twice so far. Once with my wife and once with my twelve year old daughter, both of them loved it as well. I loved how there was no music during the movie. It really created an authentic suspenseful experience. There was no forced emotion created by music during the tense emotional scenes. I won’t give away any spoilers but this movie had a great message to go along with it. Please watch this and share with family and friends. The movie is quite violent though. There is a good amount of students that are killed during throughout the movie. I would recommend not sharing with younger children. The nudity in the movie was also not as graphic as I anticipated. It was of a mans rear end. I can’t say enough good things about this movie, I’m happy and proud to be part of this monumental step in taking back entertainment.… Expand

Spoiler Alert: This is Definitely not a Christian produced film as it is gritty [violence, profanities, a partial nudity, and Biblical theological inaccuracies] but even so, it does show loving sacrifices made by caring people, Christian and non-Christian characters alike to overcome evil. In our current societal climate, this film has it's place as it could be used as a teaching tool for parents, school staff and "Powers that Be" to prepare all those who may be interested in enhancing school security/defense. It also conveys an insight to what may be seen/heard, the spirit and mentality behind such attacks, and the mindset needed to counter it and prevail. If I had to say one good thing about this film, it's the cinematography. A genuinely interesting use of light and filters. Sadly, it does not save a film that is fundamentally poorly-written and designed to appeal to an echo chamber.… Expand

The movie had me glued to the screen. Loved the plot, the acting. Don't let the press halt you, there's a reason why the critic score is currently 13 and the audience score is 9.5! By all means, watch this movie!

Honestly, I'm appalled by the 'expert' critics who are so obviously out of touch with reality that they are polar opposite than the user reviews. Honestly, I'm appalled by the 'expert' critics who are so obviously out of touch with reality that they are polar opposite than the user reviews. They seem to spend more time trying to make overcomplicated, robust nonsense than they do putting meaningful meat into their text. I'd say I'm shocked, but these are the same people that think Cuties was a good idea. Back to the movie: First, the action is constant throughout. Second, the plot is relatable...everyone has been to High School and the stereotypical characters are played to perfection (which is why I've concluded that the payed reviewers probably went to private schools). In fact, the wit and sarcasm throughout, especially by the antagonists was both funny and sick....a real positive when you need that role..and kudos to the villain for being extremely hateable. Lastly, the character development within the action was also well written. I'm going to watch this movie again this weekend, especially since Hollywood hasn't produced anything worth risking getting popcorn tongue over, let alone COVID, since the Joker.… Expand

The audacity that critics are giving this such low scores is ridiculous. The writing, acting, and shooting of this film are all superb. An amazing watch and the only reason critics don't like it is because it is from a new movie and news publisher!

It's easy to shrug Run Hide Fight off as a high school version of Die Hard, but the story goes deeper than Yippy-Ki-Yay Mother@#$%er. In the face of death, there's an excellent dialogue about free will and the idea that no matter where we go, we can never escape who we are.

To those who describe the film as being made by someone who has seen too many movies. Well, no kidding, sport. Any filmmaker worth their salt wears their influences on their sleeve.

Isabel May is excellent as Zoe Hull. She proves she can handle a complex character who's battling external and internal wars. Eli Brown is also perfect as Tristan Voy, the lead villain. He's balanced, He doesn't go overboard with his villainy. This film is intended for mature audiences who love the art of filmmaking and storytelling. I recommend this movie because of its grit and just being a well-crafted story with well-developed characters.… Expand

Loved it! To start, the topic of emergency preparedness and life saving very much intrigues me. I’m not much for graphic movie UNLESS the images serve a purpose, and though the the death scenes did turn my stomach I totally understand why inLoved it! I mean I knew the basic idea and plot of the movie from the one trailer I had seen. I knew there would be uncomfortable moments due to the subject matter, i.e., a school shooting. However, once I started I could not turn it off. I was amazed at how good the various newcomer actors were--especially the young female lead and the young man who was her main antagonist. I also thought it treated the material in a very evenhanded way. It's no wonder all of the professional reviewers hated it. They generally have little to no clue what the rest of the country is all about.… Expand

The big thing about this movie is that you can feel the intensity of the fear of students and teachers in an active shooting situation. Each reaction of explosions and gun shots in this movie were authentic reactions. It's interesting that this movie does not have a lot of profanity in situations where profanity may be expected, and it doesn't feel awkward when profanity is presented. Profanity was presented as a real reaction and does not feel inauthentic. Bookending resolution was satisfying. Special effects, gunshots, and pyrotechnics were superb in this movie. Antagonist was someone that you do feel like you can hate pretty well by his actions. Though he is no Joker, if the Antagonist had a deeper more complex philosophy, it can make the movie much more interesting.

Read the critic's reviews, and it just felt like they were detached from reality and detached from the people actually affected by issues like these.… Expand

I LOVED THE MOVIE! A lot of people compare it to DIE HARD (but in a school) and there are certainly many elements of it. The action, terror, filming, script...there are zero half measures in this movie.

Let me put it like this. A lot of movies and programs (almost all of them) I’ll watch while playing on my phone. I couldn’t turn away from RUN HIDE FIGHT and didn’t so much as check my texts during the almost 2 hours of this movie. It was exactly what I needed and kept my adrenaline cranked up the whole time.… Expand

This film hooks you in a magnificently realistic and tragic story of a high school shooting. It is raw, intense, and thrilling, and deals with the subject matter fairly and respectfully.

The storyline draws you in to care about certain characters; their pain becomes your pain (boy, does it HURT).
The greatest thing is that the film displays the decisions people make in this kind of horrific scenario, and highlights courage and selflessness at the risk of death more than it ogles the criminals.
Not a whiff of cheese or agenda. Just a really awesome film.
