This movie would have been better if it was a gay love story, since the love interests of both actors have negligible roles anyway. Rajamouli made a terrible mistake by not letting Ramcharan and NTR kiss onscreen.

I agree with one of the critics that the movie is so loyal to being a legend rather than a story. It is ridiculous from time to time. I cannot say I dislike the movie, but just not sure how to make sense of it.

A fair question for this overly long film.

Now, anyone who has seen an Indian film knows what these do, and for those who haven't seen one, if this is your first, go with my blessing and admiration.

Also, as I recently discussed with Top Gun: Maverick. Uncomplicated entertainment can be short-lived, but as long as it serves its purpose and of course has made its profit, the rest is irrelevant.

RRR is something along those lines. It's an epic that indulges itself in all possible excesses.
It's a bold extravaganza. Cheerful, colorful, musical, violent, extravagant, comical, flamboyant, dramatic and a bit hilarious. All focused on making this story a really really big show. And it works to a certain degree, after all, its shortcomings are clearly plot-related, but when you're making a 3-hour film that intersperses dance and singing sequences with such wacky fights, the least important thing is the story and both the filmmakers and the actors know it.

That's why I do recommend and applaud this film for its fearless and ambitious staging. It's a lavish and impressive show there's no doubt about that, it's just that it's not a great film.… Expand

Three things I felt are good in this movie:
Bg score, Dance , Cinematography.
The story is okay, action is a hit and miss (for me it's highly illogical), Acting is below average, editing and screenplay is below average, CGI is okayThree things I felt are good in this movie:

Very fun!!!
I usually don't dig Bollywood movies that were too over-the-top, which is like most Bollywood movies. However, I gotta give it to RRR for making it actually fun and exciting.
Horrendous CGI aside, the dance scenes were superVery fun!!!

The fact that people think that British audiences should feel jealous and angry at this movie is just bizarre. I think that British audiences couldn’t care less for being depicted as evil a-holes in this movie. Just like American audiences didn’t seem to mind how they were depicted in “Dances with Wolves”. RRR managed to impress audiences around the world at just how bad this movie is.… Expand

It revolves around 2 men who become best friends. Meanwhile, they secretly work to overthrow the colonial imperialists who are still dominating India in the 1920s. What makes the story exciting is the way it's told: The action scenes easily rival any from Hollywood. There are moments of beautiful visual imagery. Enjoyable songs are peppered throughout, which includes a dizzying dance number (and stay thru the credits for one more.) The 2 leads are close to superheroes in strength, deed and determination, while the British villains are so evil they're almost twirling their metaphorical mustaches. In typical style of the genre, the emotions are overblown with acting to match, but they're still effective. Even with a completely predictable story and a 3-hour length, there's so much to enjoy that it continually entertains in a big way. (In Telugu with subtitles, although much of the film is in English)… Expand

I always say that with movies or shows you’ve got to focus on three factors. Interesting characters, interesting story or plot, and interesting scenes or sequences. You can have interesting characters and a simple plot and still have a goodI always say that with movies or shows you’ve got to focus on three factors. Interesting characters, interesting story or plot, and interesting scenes or sequences. You can have interesting characters and a simple plot and still have a good movie. You can have boring characters and interesting plot and still have a good movie. But interesting scenes and sequences, like a really good fight scene isn’t enough. RRR captures both interesting characters and interesting sequences and scenes. The fight scenes are intense and have weight to them due to well made characters who feel fleshed out and full of reason and purpose…you will care about these characters. The production value is felt and seen here. You can pause at almost any moment and see a worth screen shot or walllpaper. It’s a beautiful movie for all the bloodshed you will witness and violence. It’s also violent but not too gory which is nice mix. If you watched any of those garbage Netflix movies featuring big names…you’d be doing yourself a disservice by not watching RRR because RRR is better than all those Greyman, whatever Ryan Renolds ends up in…… Expand

My wife with me also pointed out Zack Snyder but far superior visa vi "here's a man with something to say... and it's LOUD and SLOW MO" and I concur up to a point. And if you don't like British people, boys and girls have I got a smorgasbord of "f the Brits" for you (it's alright there's the one good lady one).… Expand

Saw this in the theatre in the morning, when I came home, by the evening I started getting a terrible headache. In the end I had to take a saridon. It was my fault for going in without realising that it contains violence and gore. My companions said that pt.1 was much better as it had a lot of conspiracy & everything going on...… Expand
