A good ending for an epic character like John Rambo.

Maybe this won´t be your favorite Rambo movie, but it has a lot to offer in the last 20 minutes. What do you expect? Yea, Rambo killing a bunch of people in a gruesome way. You get that. John Rambo with a quite a bit of over the top gore. Nothing to really put me off in this action movie. The story isn't terribly original or clever, but it's probably the best Rambo-movie you'll ever see.

Lets start off with this , there is no reason what so ever to make or view this film. For a fan of the original Rambo movie this endeavor is just sad and pathetic. I will start with the fact that it contains only cardboard cut outs of caricatures, lets roll the list.
Rambo after years of bad plastic surgery he has become a horse rancher on a ranch that has 3 horses, hardly a sustainable ranch. Abuelita , just that.
The young daughter of a friend or something , any way Rambo raised her supposedly, but she has no self defense or life skills, Rambo I guess would not share that skill set with his step children.But he will dig a giant network of caves in the ranch. Also the female lead or what ever is taught the ultimate lesson and the lesson is do what rambo tells you or you will end up dead in a mexican whore house strung out on smak.
There is a shady 80s chola who is an old pal of the female lead, straight from central casting for 80s chola.
There is also a journalist, que lazy writing for a cut out of a journalist and that is what you get.
And the bad guys, they only lack ponchos and sombreros.
This film a racist tirade that gives way to a portrayal of a serial killer. Do not get me wrong I love a good slasher film and action films are fantastic but this is just dumb and boring and really belongs in a new genre of trash films that are unwatchable.… Expand

If you want to know about human trafficking, there are plenty of documentaries covering the subject). Only the final action scene was fun. I doubt anyone would want to see this movie twice. A nearly two hour long action movie shouldn't have only one major action scene at the end. You could sleep though the whole movie and just watch the last 30 minutes to get all the fun this movie has. No one needs such a long dreary buildup to the action. It is easily the worst Rambo movie.… Expand

Very exciting movie. Unfortunately the movie is too short. Stallone has always shown that Rambo has never changed and fights it daily. In my opinion, seeing Rambo die at the end of the movie would be an extraordinary end to the franchise. Highly recommend the movie!

Movie takes a long time to get going, serious plot hole involving Rambo's daughter, ending pay off was good. Would only recommend to serious Rambo fans otherwise i would advise to skip this movie. Rambo [2008] was significantly better.

For my part it has never been like this and therefore I wasn't particularly attracted to this new installment.

Last Blood is nothing more than another empty addition to Sylvester Stallone's career, it doesn't add anything to the franchise or the character for that matter and let's be honest after so many years Rambo is something that's more or less outdated and this film shows it because it obviously tries to sustain its incredible hollow plot with violence.

I cant understand where the hate for this movie comes from..
Its a pure Stallone-actionpacked, old school carnage. This movie is not for the fainted one.
I think people have forgot that movies are for entertainment, not education. A good,I cant understand where the hate for this movie comes from..

If you want to watch a bunch of A**holes, f****** with the wrong PSTD troubled vietnam vet, this wont dissapoint you. The reviews are so wrong about this one. I really would love more of Stallone, but because of the critics I dont think it will happen..

Rambo Last Blood is about Rambo going after a group of sex trafficker who kidnap his niece. If that sounds like taken that's because it pretty much is. So if the story is bad maybe the characters are memorable, but unfortunately the only characters name I can even remember is Rambo's. If this is the case than why is I'm giving this an okay rating instead of a bad one? Well that would be because of the only other thing that matters in a movie like this, the action. This film is the most brutal action film I have ever seen, and I love it. The way this film shoots the action is incredible you can feel every hit. I really hope future action films take a notice of this one I would love to see more action like this. In conclusion if you are looking for an action film with action unlike any other than this film is for you.… Expand

As a huge fan of First Blood and Rambo this was horrible. Nothing about this movie reminds you of the first two. It’s Home Alone with gore. Now, if you want Home Alone with gore, it’s a 10. If you want Rambo it’s a 2.

'Last Blood' feels incredibly uneven with it being the "finale". I put that in quote as Stallone has said he's open to continue playing the character if the movie is successful.

However, the overall conclusion was lacking in my opinion.

Despite what critics have said, this is nowhere near as gory as Rambo 4, but not to say this movie isn't brutal, because it's an absolute beast towards the end. So it's not on the level of 'Texas Chainsaw', but it's no 'Logan', which this movie was clearly influenced by.

This movie is dark, like really dark - out of the entire franchise. Stallone truly shines whenever his animal instincts kicks in. Rambo is the most tragic character Stallone has ever played.

Even through it's called 'Last Blood', I doubt Stallone isn't thirsty for more.… Expand

Its getting to the point that the official reviewer's should be just mixed in with everyone else. Completely unreliable.

It’s Rambo, so you know there is going to be violence and blood shed. And there is. Plenty of it! Bad guys have done something to make Rambo really mad and he is going to make them pay. There is nothing wrong with a good old action flick. It's full of gore he doesn't waste time talking sometimes just hand out ass whoopings. Don't waste time reading from critics even the male critics act like Soy Boys now one said its too gorey.

Solid action picture. The pacing is more akin to a 1970's revenge flick. The first two acts of the film are essentially a set-up for the final one. This is not a wall to wall action picture. This was what we expect in a Rambo movie. The critics may blast it, but it is like they've never seen a Rambo film before. This was a violent, fun movie. Stallone knows how to make action films.

I was not expecting a good movies because the reviews were bad and biased. I watched today and i'm very surprised. Stallone was born to be Rambo, the actions, the explosions, and the script was all impeccable. I recommend you watch. To rate this movie as a stand alone film, it is a very mediocre one. What you have to keep in mind, that this movie is a respectfull tribute to the thing called RAMBO legacy. There is a tribute to first blood with shellshock sequences, a tribute to the second movie with a desire to help desperate people, a tribute to the third instalment with one man army killing a horde of bad guys, and ofcourse a tribute to the fourth film with all the gory and juicy violence. If your looking for drama, you wont find it here. Just same old Rambo. If your looking for strong plot, you wont find it here. Simple and fast developing story. More than that, if your looking for long action sequences, you wont find it here. Just one 20 minutes action scene at the very end, but it is gory, primal, slasher type and fantastic. So its up to you, to deside. No respect for Rambo? Pass it. Don't torture yourself. This movie made for those who allways welcome thier beloved buddy, their old friend. And those people will find what they are looking for here.… Expand

The last 10 minutes are awesome, brutal and bloody, just how we like it...everything else is just horrible, boring and lacking any interesting action or plot beats to keep you engaged.

So I finally saw Rambo: Last Blood and it wasn't very bueno. And what amazes me most about this movie is that they are trying so hard to be like Sicario: Day of the Soldado in a way that's mindless and relevant that presses the audienceSo I finally saw Rambo: Last Blood and it wasn't very bueno. And what amazes me most about this movie is that they are trying so hard to be like Sicario: Day of the Soldado in a way that's mindless and relevant that presses the audience buttons in a good way or in the bad way by keeping these bad hombres out of the country kind of way. Either way, this film is just a mindless cashgrabbing action thriller that can be enjoyed if you don't care about the plot. Sly still got it in this last installment of Rambo though except that it was bad in a 360° narrative and technical perspective.… Expand

Its a great movie! I was surprised since all 'journalists' and 'critics' kept talking badly about it! Sly is awesome in this! I had a great time watching it and highly recommend it.
