It's just... sad. Everyone is way too old, the effects look horrible, even the fake blood is bad, and the story is more confusing than ever.

The worst of failing franchise. The first two films were above average 80s horror fun. The third and fourth films were below average and lacked cohesion over any overarching point for existing. It's chopped up mess of ideas that doesn't resolve any of the mess that came before. But what is considerably worse than anything that came before it is the cinematography and the special effects. What a waste of time. As a child who grew up with campy movies in the 80's and 90's like Phantasm, it's a slap in the face what they did with the newest film. I can't understand why people insist on acquiring the rights to film for aWhat a waste of time. I can't understand why people insist on acquiring the rights to film for a franchise and then mess it up as badly as they do. The camera work is bad and shaky. The dialog feels uninspired and dry. The story is stupid, often taking way too long to actually go anywhere or do anything. It's awful and the people responsible should be ashamed.… Expand

Phantasm Ravager is simply the bottom of the barrel from the franchise. Not only because of the poor story and the cheap directing or special effects but also in every way possible.
