This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Excellent prequel where a now 25 year old Isabelle Fuhrman plays a 30 year old passing as a 10 year old and it totally doesn't look weird at all. Expand

First movie was better, but this movie is very good too. Isabelle Fuhrman is good, but Julia Stiles like a mother is better. I want more..

And since the answer on my part is none, I can only say watch it with many reservations. Expand

It goes back to the film made in 2009. In the first movie, the girl who was taken home, I wonder if she was the devil or something, the appearance of a 30-year-old woman shocked the audience. But in this movie, you played the same person in the past tense more than in the first one. You can't feed this woman to anyone because she's 10 years old. If the ending is as I wish, there is no surprise that this time it will not be the first film. But there was actually the change in the family that I wished for while watching. Does the film meet expectations? Absolutely no. Is it monitored? It is monitored.

There are no explicit scenes in the film, but there is a love scene.

If you liked the first one, you will NOT like this. The actor playing Esther can't pass off as anything but an adult with her face, they should have recast her. Even my gf who didn't watch the first one said "that's an adult".

The story becomes needlessly convoluted and contrived during the second act. Instead of making a Mr. Brookes style movie, which I would have liked to see, they make this ridiculous attempt to make Esther seem just a bit less psycho and justified.

Either you go all in with your story or you don't make it. This is another example of prequels we did not need. 99.99% of prequels should never have been made.

Unnecessary prequel for an already great movie. the first one said whatever needed to be said, and there was no need to go into the details of Esther's life and past.
the changes in the main character, throughout time, are so dramatic and evident that it makes it impossible for the viewer to believe that this Esther is even younger than the original Esther! so, that's one huge negative point for the film.
The story is lame and completely predictable. the only twist in the story is with the mother and her information. Whereas, the original film had many twists and scary scenes that made it so enjoyable to watch.

I was truly surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie. The first one was great and I was expecting this one to disappoint. It's been 13 years since the last film, but it was pretty good.

Not bad. Even though this film is reviewed better than the original I actually don't agree with that. I found the first one more enjoyable, but with that said this still has some great moments, great acting and still that twist you don't see coming.
