There was a lot to do with shanks, there was a lot to do with Uta, but we are not going into a musical without laws or rights that is certainly breathtaking but rather meaningless in depth.… Expand

O exagero proporcional, seja de cores ou de sons, com um filme que parece um clímax estendido, definitivamente não me gradou. Tudo é muito caricato, estridente, acima do tom, e um detalhe importante àqueles que não conhecem o universo: tudo ocorre de forma muita apressada, sem a devida apresentação dos personagens.
Basicamente o filme é feito para fãs, e não é à toa que agrada o nicho. Mas ao fazer um filme que peca pela apresentação de seus (inúmeros) personagens, soa como se fosse um spin-off genérico, o filme mal se sustenta sozinho. Há um embate entre Uta, a marinha e os piratas que vão dialogando sobre suas escolhas e objetivos perante àquela sociedade ensandecida, e então o filme larga de mão o conceito mais imagético e acaba por se sustentar em discursos.
É claro que a magia está ali, pincelada por momentos insanos e até criativos. No geral, eu até gostei das corres berrantes, pois mesmo sendo vívidas demais conseguem dar frescor e originalidade à história. O grande problema mesmo é a grande correria e como o roteiro se apega a descrever o que está acontecendo, há um certo caos feito para a geração imediatista e louca por sensações, muito longe de trabalhos mais sensíveis como aqueles produzidos pelo estúdio Gibli.
Uma pena, pois a animação opta por uma enxurrada de personagens, todos com uma história que poderia ser bem melhor contada, transformando o filme numa bagunça generalizada, como se estivéssemos numa confraternização regada a ecstasy, todos muito loucos e ensandecidos. Não curti.… Expand

The music is really well done and in the moment could even be described as incredible, but nothing that you'll be playing on the way home from the theaters. While the animation is pretty good, a lot of it feels like just another filler arc turned movie. You may get some enjoyment from it whether you're a One Piece fan or not, but other films in the series may prove more worth your while.… Expand
