Shooting in Imax also ruined the fluidity and a lot of the action was jumpy or blurred. Totally disappointed by the whole thing. Was hoping for some top humour from PWB, but she clearly failed to deliver, or her ideas were rejected.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The latest Bond flick starts with James Bond, played again by Daniel Craig enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica with a lover before he is attacked. He manages to fight off his assailants and escape, temporarily parting ways with the woman. We find out this woman’s mother was killed when she was a child in Russia by a strange man with a mask. Bond is working with the CIA at the start of the film and investigating the insidious SPECTRE agency. The man who murdered Bond’s girlfriend’s mother is in charge of SPECTRE and steals a biological weapon from the Russian secret service and plots to use it on society to bring order or some s***. At first Bond thinks Ernst Blofeld is behind this scheme and he interrogated him in prison. Blofeld threatens Bond but is killed off just to make way for the other villain. The other villain kidnaps Bond’s girlfriend and apparent daughter and prepares to use his weapon on humanity. Bond manages to save the day and kill the baddies but is left stranded on the villain’s island lair and apparently dies in an explosion. The movie had a lot of good cinematography and some good action sequences. Bond made several corny quips or puns which is conventional James Bond. The movie introduced a new 007 agent who was a black woman which might irritate some in the anti-woke crowd. The movie also dragged on a bit, it had a long runtime. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Seriously what the hell was that? Ok I get it frigate fires 4 VLS missiles at the base. Why not the 2 incoming cargo ships? Like come the f&#$ on. And even then, bad guy is dead, why not just redirect the missiles and fire another salvo once Bond is clear? These aren't dumb rockets that are fire and hope for the best. Absolutely lazy writing for nothing more than a shock emotional effect. Hope they return the the Connery / Brosnan bond going forward. Not sure why they killed him then immediately posted "Bond will return." at the end credits. Otherwise great movie but holy hell that was the worst ending in Bond history. Also the "nanobots are forever" deal was also equally dumb. Its a novel technology, you should be able to find a way to counteract it. The movie was well shot with a great story, but the ending robbed the entire experience. Woe be to the post modern masculine man. Expand

We went from the liberal liberated swinging sixties to this prudish regression in 2020s'. In No Time To Fun. Yeah I am glad this uptight broody boring Craig era of Bond is over. I can’t even say Craig was the worst Bond as he was never really a Bond in the first place. Jason Bourne did this style on non bond spy action way better. So this non Bond isn't even worth a rewatch for a Bourne style fan. Not thinking this is a Bond type, but a Bourne type may help HC Bond fans sit through this deconstruction of all that is quintessential Bond. Expand

Unfortunately this movie is probably the worst entry in the Craig Bond era.

In this movie, Bond is a passive, reactive character resulting in an uninvested watch. This Bond is the opposite of who Bond is. An overbearing, hyper-focused, goal oriented, flawed hero. It's only at the end of this movie Bond makes a decision and take action most of us would fail to take.

With Bond having no goals or clear obstacles to overcome, most of this movie drags to an anti-climatic finale.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Film went off to a good start... then went downhill from there. It feels rushed, especially the last hour. A lot of characters crammed in with no real purpose. A long film drawn out with more unnecessary drama. Film lacked a style and purpose like previous bond films. The Villain was underused and was merely a side quest. The film mainly choosing to focus on bond's relationship with his wife and daughter, but it lacked real connection between the characters. Bond was more connected with vesper lynd... Blofeld's character was just made a mockery of and wasted off easily, why would you do this to Christoper Waltz?. The ending poison garden set was created almost as if it was meant to be a remake of 1962's Dr No, but took a turn during mid production (is this why Danny Boyle left?). The female 007 agent was again just another random addition/side character that had no purpose. Paloma's character was underused. If you want to treat bond as a side character, then do this... Have Paloma face off against Nomi and have Blofeld escape prison, reactivate spectre and fight against Safin competing against a plot to take over the world (or something similar). Hoping they learn lessons from this film and start to make something more like the connery, dalton and early craig years for true bond experience. Expand

My 1st Bond movie I saw in the theater was Moonraker. I enjoy Bond for what it is, mindless action, gadgets, witty repertoire, car chase scenes, some sexism/machoism etc etc. For the most part this movie checks all the boxes. At the same time, this is the first Bond movie where I was actually bored. My wife tells me to get with the times, and Bond has to evolve to match society in the 21st century, and I try, but:

This is pretty much the first Bond movie, where the movie plot (who the villain is, and how the hell did he get all his resources to build his evil empire, etc) actually takes a back seat to his personnel life.

This movie is a chick flick love story, and not a Bond movie. It will get great reviews because of that (Bond showing that he is 'human', 'emotional' has a 'soft side' etc). Heck, should of realized what they were doing as the opening scene was almost a verbatim of the ending of Her majesties secret service......"we have all the time in the world"....

Oh well, Bond went out with a fizzle not a bang.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The movie was the best of the best of 007 sadly the most of bond he always end up with a happy ending try to make it with any woman such as the past 007 way back in 2002 when Pierce brosnan successfully destroyed large villain of his time and then end up with a happy ending but then with Daniel Craig was way different so a few words to put it for this story the anonymous question for everybody in the fans are saying what happened to 007 everybody now knows he's again dead after many decades of going back from The only live twice they said well at least he died on the job and now to disc millennial year when I hate to spoil this word but some sort of atomic bomb either I don't know if it caused him to die or not but luckily we already know the ending story which I don't know the film directors going to continue making Bond or say hey we're going to stop making 007 because half the fans are saying that is the ending of 007 because now this is starting to look kind of like the avengers endgame when Robert Downey Jr AKA Tony Stark has killed Thanos the sacrificed himself to die for humanity by using the Infinity Stones but now the key question is this the villain is finished Sapphire and unstand bluffeled is already been killed bluffville died in prison the other guy died in his own factory for now Bond they're saying he's infected so now the key question is is James Bond 007 dead or not I'm going to say for now since I'm the 007 movie marathon maker on the Herrera channel to and Daniel Craig's 007 for now I will announce in one month which is starting this coming week James Bond 007 is officially killed by a military base of world war II ground so as of now great work for Daniel Craig and everything else but the key question is Dr swan and of course which he didn't get married that's the good happy par to find out if maybe if they do it next 007 then I guess maybe instead of recruiting the other male actors because then it's going to repeat all over again going back to the beginning but accept this time they cannot resurrect Dr no cuz Dr no was the first killed person and remember so he died in the year 19 62 so now the key question is will they start by using female actresses as 007 or at least just use 007 which the good part is the doctor is not married to James to British commander James Bond they should use a different person to play 007 maybe it's time to give the ladies a chance to play 007 we know that the internet's going viral with so many male actors replacing 007 I object that Tom Holland should not play the role as 007 so technically right now I say they should put female actresses as 007 probably maybe give the one actress which I hate to spoil this that she gave up her number after 007 retired in the movie after resting on stunned flow so the movie was the best of the best ending but still people Q MI6 Moneypenny and of course Turner don't know is 007 dead because now like when I saw the movie I guess the previous Ms had an excuse of being dead except the one we saw in 2012 she died by a liquid gas so now 007 chapter of Daniel Craig is a great ending and fans are questioning what happenedt Expand

What I didn't like:
Goofy humour, badly written characters, the new 007, wasted potential of Rami Malek's character, and the disappointing ending. What I actually liked:
good cinematography, how the camera was working in the fighting scenes, and basically I liked the "prequel" of the movie showing what happened 5 years before the main plot.

It was more like a fanfic story, not a proper continuation of the series.

Daniel Craig and the viewers deserved a better final movie. My main complains would be of cause the ending which is garbage, the lack of good chemistry between Daniel Craig and Lea Seydoux (Vesper Lynd aka Eva Green surpassed her in all categories) and that they wasted Rami Malek who is an amazing actor. It is however not as awful as expected but nowhere near the better James Bond movies. It is not a replacement of James Bond with a female 007 agent as many thought and the trailers made it look. By the way: I am not against female agents. Alias is an amazing show with Jenifer Garner that work really well and I recommend. However James Bond does not transfer well into a female character. The necessary adaptations would make it something different. Lets see how the modernization of the character will turn out for the sequel. Back to the movie: There is good action (but it could be more), satisfying stunts, the visuals are amazing, Daniel Craig delivers and it has its moments. This was the last time Daniel Craig will be James Bond. I still remembered that the fans were up in arms when he was announced for Casino Royale. Today he is a frequent contender for best James Bond actor. He left his mark and impact and I want to thank him for this. After a flashback the story starts with James Bond and Madeline Swann visiting a smaller Italian town where he wants to visit Vesper Lynd’s grave. However this really turns into a fight for survival as they were attacked and a fallout happens. A few years later the past catches up to a retired James Bond when an old friend asks for a favor. So starts the story. It is the longest James Bond so far and they could have shorten it a bit. Not all scenes are great or necessary. The rest hits more than it misses but especially the ending ruins this experience. I wont spoil anything as you can easily see this referenced by a lot of reviews aka people. It is fresh and unique but definitely the last thing many want to see in a James Bond movie ever. Cast: Daniel Craig as James Bond might be getting older but always delivered his role and this movie is not different. Good performance but I wished he got better final movie. Lea Seydoux is a good actress without a doubt. Sadly she has not a good chemistry with James Bond as Madeleine Swann. Nearly everyone will say that Vesper Lynd as Eva Green is the gold standard. Rami Malek as Lyutsifer Safin is wasted. He has not much or enough time to shine and often disappears in the background. I might be the minority that likes Lashana Lynch as Nomi. Good performance and all the problems I put on the script. Jeffrey Wrigth returns as Felix Leitner. I truly enjoy the actor and his role. Ben Whishaw as Q and Gareth Mallory as M are just weaker than their previous counterparts. The banter with Q and M was often an enjoyable highlight in former movies. It is mixed here in this regard. Like I said visually the movie is amazing as are the action scenes and stunts. The soundtrack is divisive in my circle of friends. Before anyone comes to the wrong conclusion: It is not about the talents or performance of Billie Eilish. She is talent and there are no missteps in it. We had a lot of talks and are divided. For some this is the best James Bond song or far up while others including me find it a good homage but so boring. Overall this is hard to rate. The ending wants me to give a 1/10 as I do not believe in 0/10 outside of videogames (EA and Fallout 76 have taught me a lesson). However it is not garbage and carefully made even with the flaws. I think a 5/10 is valid. It could have been far worse. Expand

THUD!
Incoherent generic plot, long ponderous soapy melodrama regarding Bond's ludicrous zero-chemistry love interest, more plot holes than I care to recount and almost no nifty gadgets...
The movie is not completely rotten, there's a cool glider-thingy, some cool stunt-work before the opening titles and a nifty -if bonkers- bit of action in Cuba, featuring a pitch-perfect performance from Ana de Armas as Paloma.
So was this movie worth the wait?

The end of not just any era, but arguably the finest in franchise history. Daniel Craig finally hangs up the shoulder holster and bow tie with "No Time To Die," a bittersweet send-off to Craig's 15-year tenure as 007 and -- in many ways -- the character as a whole. Elevated primarily by Cary Joji Fukunaga's borderline faultless vision for the film on an aesthetic level and Craig's palpable affection and tenderness for the character, "No Time To Die" abates the audience's occasional frustrations with the narrative by filling the screen with stunning production design, vibrant cinematography and some franchise-best set pieces. The final act is also truly special. Without giving anything away, I'll say it really was the right ending to go with, but, man, oh, man is it an emotional ride. More than just sad to say this is the last time we'll see Craig playing a character he was truly born to play. Expand

Yes, it's the newest James Bond movie, No Time To Die. Maybe you've heard that it's the last installment of the franchise with Daniel Craig as Bond, James Bond? Of course, I was there on opening weekend because Craig has been an awesome Bond and really energized the James Bond brand. Here's whether the 2-year wait was worth it.

Do I have to give you a plot synopsis? TBH, before Daniel Craig became Bond, I never cared for these movies because the plot is meaningless. What happens in No Time To Die? What always happens in James Bond movies: running, fights, guns, girls, cars, explosions, rinse and repeat. What matters is how stylish and thrilling these set pieces are and how cool James Bond is through it all.

Actually, the plot of No Time To Die is one of my peeves about this movie. The Daniel Craig James Bond movies have been pretty serialized so having some knowledge about the previous installments may be useful. Characters and plot points from Casino Royale to Spectre are referenced here. I don't remember the plot details from those previous movies because these movies aren't about plot! Whatever. Nevertheless, here, James Bond has been in retirement, living married life, until his past blasts him back into action. Hijinks and action ensue.

Cary Joji Fukunaga does a great job directing the action of No Time To Die. There are some good sequences, particularly one that features the luminous Ana de Armas, in a Knives Out reunion with Craig. She's great in this sequence as an eager, novice agent. She kicks major butt and has an easy chemistry with Daniel Craig. The problem with Fukunaga's direction has to be that the film is not edited well. There's so much going on plot-wise, action-wise, and emotionally - too many extraneous characters that it comes off as unfocused and a bit like they threw in everything but the kitchen sink. If you really love Bond, then you may not mind the 2 hour 37 minute runtime, but I and my heavy eyelids did feel it .

On the upside, Daniel Craig gave this one his all. He has James Bond in his bones and he oozes that cool charm that the character is known for. Craig also gets to play other emotions than just stoic machismo. He has some tender moments with Lea Seydoux, even if I don't totally believe their relationship, but he's especially good with his old friend, Felix, played by Jeffrey Wright and the aforementioned new associate played by Ana de Armas. What you came for was Craig's last Bond film and he delivers the goods.

Ultimately, you know what you're getting from a James Bond movie. No Time To Die is no different than its predecessors. It is not the best James Bond film you'll see, but it is far from the worst. The plot does not justify the overlong runtime, but the movie otherwise hits its mark as expected. Also, Daniel Craig has done such a great job updating James Bond for the 21st century that it will be interesting to see where the character goes next. I'd suggest a matinee viewing with a good bowl of popcorn.

There is personal drama and real relationships at stake. The James Bond character is not only vulnerable but also the most human-like it has been since Casino Royale. You have never seen James Bond caring about a kid's lost stuffed toy, but you see him do exactly that in this movie for the first time.

The plot is -as usual- about an extravagant villain with an army and an elaborate plan to conquer the world. There are plenty of twists and turns, several characters from previous Daniel Craig movies return, and there are nods from older films, particularly "On Her Majesty's Secret Service".

The action is great, the impossible stunts are ever-present, and the chase sequences are fantastic as always.

Most of the actors do a great job in their roles. But the villain's role (played by Rami Malek) wasn't nearly as well-written as the rest of the characters. It needed more fleshing out. The Lyutsifer Safin character is the only weak aspect of this great movie.

The Daniel Craig era is over, and his James Bond literally goes out with a bang. I hope MGM will choose carefully whom they cast in the role to succeed Craig, and I hope they don't ruin it by casting someone with just political correctness in mind.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Spoiler Alert. I'm not a big Daniel Craig fan, however my 1st Bond movie was at a drive-in, so I'm old. I have the entire Bond collection. I will not be adding this one! This movie should be titled, How to Destroy a Legacy! If it had been a love/action drama I would have maybe given it a 7. What idiot thought it a good idea to kill friggin OO7 & replace him with an unlikeable "manly" woman! As a woman, I don't want a woman Bond. They killed the Agent & castrated the franchise! Movie was too slow in an attempt to make you cry. This movie needed a happily ever after ending to save it. Confusing at times figuring out who, what, why! The Villain was very weak, too. Left theater empty & a little angry. Best part of movie, some action scenes & car gadgets cool as always. RIP Bond! Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Imagine if Harrison Ford got his wish and had Han Solo die during Return Of The Jedi, and the entire movie led up to that moment. That's the feeling I had watching No Time To Die. It's been well documented that Daniel Craig was tiring of the role and this film was seemingly designed to give his version of Bond an explosive (pun intended) send off. The film's pre-credit sequence does not initially start with Bond, or some crisis that sets up the plot. It starts with a mother and young daughter in a wintery secluded home and the attack on the occupants by a kabuki masked assailant. The daughter survives and grows up to be Bond's lover. Question. If Rami Malek' s character was the assailant, and he appears to be currently fortyish, he would have been, what?, in his teens during that flashback sequence? Anywho, time logic aside, Bond appears to have retired for good and tries to put the past behind him. Ahh, but as Pacino discovered in The Godfather, every time they try to get away they get pulled back in. Bond has to save the world once again by a villain looking to unleash a DNA encoded virus that can kill targeted victims based on their DNA and those who have those DNA traits like, wait for it....family. So, Bond has become a family man with an actress he has no chemistry with, and become an instant daddy to a child just introduced. It makes his self sacrifice a bit hollow and a convenience for convenience sake. That said, the film is the very model of a modern action thriller. Beautifully shot, edited, set designed, stuntwork, etc. And Craig seems to be enjoying his last turn as Bond, as opposed to his dour, eating sour grapes appearance in Spectre. It just seems like a two and a half hour journey to get an actor out of a franchise. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I really like James Bond movies. The first outing of Daniel Craig as Bond is just perfect. One of my favorite movies of all time. Then Quantum was OK, Skyfall was very cool and Spectre was kind of boring. I had high hopes for this last film, the first third of the movie is pure Bond and freaking cool at that. Then the movie starts losing speed, becomes quite boring and too woke. By the end of the movie they have you hating Bond and everything he stands for. You are not sad or surprised with his demise. I think they tried to make an Armageddon type final scene but I would not shed a tear for this woke and self hating Bond. Not one tear. Expand

NO TIME TO DIE REVIEW
Reviewed on Digital

this is the perfect goodbye for an amazing performance delivered by Daniel Craig and us, die hardcore fans who were waiting for 6 years for a new release, will not be disappointed.

SETTING
No time to die starts where Spectre was left off: Madeline and James are together enjoying a nice rest, but then after remembering someone from the past trouble strikes again in the most amazing and blockbuster way: 007 finds himself chased by bad guys in an Italian villa and hell is let loose pretty earlier in the movie.
A new threat is looming by, and the shadow of Spectre is still hunting both James and Madeline, but now a new horror emerges when a man, Safin, is trying to take down not a specific target but millions of people with a new and deadly weapon.

PERFORMANCES
I think that after 5 movies we can say that we got accustomed to Daniel’s Craig performance of Bond. Ever since I saw Casino Royale, I knew this new Bond meant business, and Daniel Craig has never failed to perform as the British superspy. For this occasion, the story puts him in an awkward situation, and we will see a more human side of Bond. But that does not mean that he will not kick ass, as he is an agent with a license to kill after all, so I saw a delicate balance being managed in this story.
Léa Seydoux brings once again her charming character of Madeline, who now finds herself enthralled by the past of his father, Mr. white, and there is a scene where her past comes to mind, and I believe that is one of the most terrifying scenes I have seen in a Bond movie. Madeline is sweet and charm, and even though she is a therapist, she is also a fierce character, one that you do not know you want to trust.
Rami Malek’s character is incredibly well written, and I felt scared by his performance. I mean, Mads Mikkelsen’s Le Chiffre will always be my favorite villain of the last 5 Bond movies, but Safin, the villain of this movie is motivated by not greed nor a specific agenda for becoming more powerful: He simply wants annihilation. That is scary, and his character is presented in a flashback as a very creepy guy, but in the present, he is also very scary. I like Rami Malek’s performance, he did a great job.
New to the cast is Lashana Lynch, which I thought it was a little cocky at first, but after a while she starts to grow on you. I thought her jealousy of Bond was kind of stupid, but she is a great buddy for James in this adventure. I mean, at first you do not see much on her, but after a while you see that she waws a good fit for the cast.
Ana de Armas performance was great even though was small. She appears amazing in that dress and the party scene was incredible… she also kicks it, and she appears like a soft initiate on the CIA’s paycheck, but she is actually pretty badass. I would have loved to see more of her, as I liked a lot how she interacted with Bond.

VISUALS
From Italy to Jamaica, Cuba to England, and at last to a small island in dispute among Japan and Russia, the movie will move along different locations. Visually, the movie is a non-stop action thriller, and this is one of the main reasons why I love this franchise so much. Every action scene does not disappoint, and yet, at the end of the movie we see moments of pure beauty and love… Cari Joji Fukunaga made an incredible achievement with this movie, as he found balance for the normal action scenes to the story and how it unfolds in the end.
This movie is longer than any of the other Bond movies, and there was not a single moment where I felt bored… no, I felt scared, and wanted to know more about the story. Visually is amazing!

SOUND
The music in 007 movies have seldom disappointed. The score always matches the vibe of the scenes, and regardless of being a movie with an incredible soundtrack, I did not find Billie Eilish’s main theme, no time to die, to be that compelling. It is good, but not as good as my best Bond opening song from the 5 movies, which is Casino Royale’s You know my name, performed by late Chris Cornell. Yeah, yeah, many people disliked it, but to me is an amazing song

FINAL VERDICT:
My final Verdict is a 10 for this movie.
Daniel Craig’s last performance brought tears down in one of the final scenes. He is an amazing actor, and his performance as James Bond has paid off elegantly. Since Casino Royale as his introduction, where he literally shut many people’s mouths with his astonishing performance, to this, his final movie as the fabled British superspy… I cannot say that I will not miss him. Just as it happened with Pierce Brosnan, which I enjoy watching as Bond, I will enjoy watching Daniel Craig’s Bond movies until a new Bond is chosen… Honestly, I do not want another Bond, but the franchise must go on. I had the same feeling when Pierce Brosnan had to leave his Walter PPK behind and Daniel Craig took over.

A fantastic finish to one of the most influential and success spy series ever.

James bonds final outing is a spectacle of homages, new ideas and forward momentum all carried about by a very polished Daniel Craig. After 5 movies of amazing highs and bottom of the barrel low does this film provide a satisfying conclusion to the Craig Bond line? Simply put, yes. This Bond like previous Craig movies focus more on the human aspects of Bond and how his actual personality and emotions have effected him out side of his spy life. Don't take that in a wrong way the movie still does a fantastic balancing at of giving you plenty of action while not turning into a mindless stupid MCU cgi explosion fest. The movie starts out with one of the best openings in a bond film in years told in 2 unique parts. Introducing Bonds new love affair and setting up her child hood back story. An opening set with the suspense and tension of a slasher film this opening offers a disparate direction than any bonds taken. It's shortly followed up by a chance through and Italian village has breath taking stuns and beautiful locals. Fans of old will rejoice with the choice of Bonds car being a classic db5. The action is tight, well shot and very slick. Craig's bond's have always tried to lend themselves to a more realistic world with less gadgets and tricks. However, this film steps in a pays a little more homage than any of other of Craig's movies. The Db5 has plenty of tricks up it sleeves that will leave classic bond fans with a smile from ear to ear. While not giving you a beat for beat plot analysis the movie introduced new characters and ties up old ends for classic characters. The introduction of the new 007 has always been shown off plenty of times in trailers. I know what most of us bond fans feel. We hated it. No Bond fan wanted to feel the Social Justice Woke culture push into bond. Pushing a black female agent into 007s roll felt like nothing more than virtue signaling when watching the trailers and the back lash was high. Well I can certainly say the movie doesn't push that agenda. Yes she's there, yes she 007 but in no way does the film seem to be pushing this. Weather they did this because of back lash or not it's really no a detractor from the movie and I don't think you should go into the film with that bias. One of the weakest elements in the movie that needs to be addressed however is the villains and Spectre. Both are done a huge disservice as they simply don't seem to be the of focus the movie. The movie is more interesting in wrapping things up than it is giving satisfying conclusions to classic plot points. 25 movies and the legacy of Spectre is kind of just throw out the window and concluded in 1 to 2 scences. I will however say the party for Spectre in Cuba is one of the high light scenes for the movie. The beautifully stunning Ana De Armas delivers as one of the best bond girls in her very brief Cuba scene. In her brief 10 to 15 minutes of screen time she Nails it epitomizing everything a Bond girl is about. Sexy, bad ass and fun. The main villain of the movie on the other hand doesn't live up what we'd consider an amazing bond Villain. In fact I'd say he's completely forgettable. This is part of the reason its so dishearting that Spectre the over arching Villains of the whole series are concluded with little to no fan fair. Remi Malek is a great actor and does the best with what he's given but, i'd think you'd be hard press to walk away from the movie and even remember his characters name. Go for it, see if you can remember the mains villains name seconds after leaving the theater. Promise you, you cant. His motivations seem muddle and unclear and the threat level that he brings seems pathetic. While there's world ending stakes at hand they never seem important and the tension isn't high. So while it seems like I've been trashing on the movie very hard, No time to Die is a movie that is the very "The whole is greater than the sum of its parts" - Aristotle. The movie combines to make a very polished and enjoyable send off to Daniel Craig and in my opinion the series as a whole. With its long run time of almost 3 hours you won't ever find yourself bored or thinking about the pacing. It's a brisk, fun thrill ride and one not to be missed. I really hope everyone enjoys it as much as me and goes into the movie with an open mind and not pre conceived notions. 9.5/10

While the film is to be admired for trying to do something more with the character than what was done in many of its predecessors, it unfortunately gets bogged down in these attempts at adding depth and substance, resulting in a number of talky sequences where viewers are wont to exclaim "Get on with it already." With this being Craig's final turn as 007 and with this film marking the franchise's 25th installment milestone, the picture often plays like a collection of "Bond's greatest hits," incorporating numerous references to past characters, incidents and even dialogue that seem to serve little purpose other than working them into the story for nostalgic good measure. Also, an unoriginal plot, the underutilization of certain cast members (most notably Rami Malek as the villain who's often treated like an afterthought), and the failure to employ the franchise's signature action sequences and technological gimmickry to any great degree weigh this effort down even further. Director Cary Joji Fukunaga's contribution to this legendary film series definitely comes up short of expectations, especially in light of the much anticipated build-up it received as a result of its protracted pandemic-delayed release. Indeed, if this is what we've been waiting for all this time, regrettably, it truly doesn't measure up to the hype. Expand

Daniel Craig delivers one of his finest performances since ‘Casino Royale’ and ‘Skyfall’, with so much emotion, humor, depth, and passion. Despite his attitude towards the role over the years, I still think Craig brings something unique and fresh to the character that is consistent for 15 years, which is making the most masculine ladies’ man that ever guy desires to be, into a broken man with so much pain and inner loss that it makes him visually vulnerable. Showing this on screen, especially for a male character in an action series like Bond, is often ridiculed, but it only makes him more human and it’s something I always appreciated. He echoes back to Sean Connery smoothness, George Lazenby’s loss, and Timothy Dalton’s ruthlessness. Craig is so excellent in this movie that he further makes the character defined in his own image. Ian Fleming often descried Bond as a “shadow” of a person and I think Craig really makes that transparent in the series. He is one of the best Bond's ever. Whoever takes over the lead role has some massive shoes to fill, because I can’t imagine where to take the character next.

Rami Malek as the villain Safin was good but isn't in the movie that much. However, the opening sequence with him was so menacing and visually memorable, it made for a strong opening. It was like an opening to a slasher movie. Léa Seydoux returns as Madeleine from ‘Spectre’ and this time has a lot more to work with here, and Seydoux also delivers a great performance. The chemistry between her and Craig is much stronger this time around, as it was more loving, passionate, and complicated that by the end I did find myself caring for the two. All the supporting cast were well utilised, especially Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, Ben Whishaw as Q, and Jeffrey Wright as Felix, who are the only people that Bond could call friends. Ana de Armas made a strong long-lasting impression on me despite the small screen time. But I have a feeling we will see more of her soon. Christoph Waltz returns briefly as Blofeld and Waltz is always good. I did like the obvious homage to “Hannibal Lecter” when Blofeld is brought out of his high-tech jail cell for questioning and the unnerving build up to it. That’s the weirdest part of this movie; there’s a lot of horror elements, or on paper “horror concepts. Coming to think of it, this could also apply to the previous Craig Bond movies, it’s just that now I’m starting to notice it.

The new theme song performed by Billie Eilish is both heart-breaking and Eilish’s is so in control of her singing, starting off soft in tone, then getting louder for the gut punch. I had goosebumps when the theme song started playing in the cinema. The context of the song with the previous scene made it even more devastating and fitted the movie so well. The cinematography by Linus Sandgren looked so gorgeous and stunning, with a great mixture of neon colours, stylising the spy genre once again. Director Cary Joji Fukunaga, like all directors should do when it comes to a film series, is keeping it fresh and exciting and he delivers exactly that. The action scenes were fantastic and such an improvement over the previous movies. One scene that comes to mind is an action scene where Bond makes his way up a stairway but there are henchmen in the way and Bond clears them out. A couple times he runs out of ammunition, so he quickly grabs a dead henchman’s gun just in the nick of time. Another action scene that comes to mind takes place in the woods, with the foggy setting, and Bond taking everyone out while protecting the ones he loves. It was surprisingly intense. Gunshots and explosions haven’t been this slick in a while. One long takes, great set pieces, and awesome execution that was satisfying to watch. Also, never in a million years would I thought I would cry watching a James Bond movie, but I was wrong. Very emotional.

On the other hand, the movie is a lot campier with one liners, the villains main plan and gadgets being more absurd than ever, while also connecting the previous Craig movies in the same vein, which somehow wasn't a mess despite me cringing at times It's a long movie, 2 hours, and 43 minutes, and yet there isn’t a scene that I could think of that I would remove, because there’s so much good character scenes.

I found it kind of ridiculous the amount of times Bond manages to survive an explosion, up close as well. I know the movie is going for more extreme in terms of action set pieces rather than grounded realism, but the only outcome he got from a grenade blast up close is a ringing ear drop, with the classic 'EEEEEEEEEEEEE' sound.

Not flawless by any means, but I'm just happy that out of the final Bond movies, this is by far the strongest. Thank you Daniel Craig.

No Time to Die is cunning, ferocious, romantic, and stylistic of how this Bond installment presented and the two hour and thirty plus minute runtime makes up for everything after six years in the making. The directing by True Detective's Cary Joji Fukanaga is spot-on when the action sequences and tension blends naturally, the sound design is immaculate, and the new and reoccurring cast of characters are pretty good and well written. It can be a questionable ending for many, but No Time to Die entirely makes up for everything that Spectre has done. And there's no doubt that No Time to Die is worth seeing it at the big screen to help celebrate Daniel Craig's iconic portrayal of the 007 Agent we all know and love for one last time. Expand

Way better than the 'Spectre' fiasco, but still not great as 'Skyfall.'

'No Time to Die' is an homage not just to the franchise as a whole — with many blink-and-you'll-miss-it moments — but to Daniel Craig himself, who says goodbye in the only way possible.

Despite visiting familiar places, the film manages to be entertaining; there's you'll usual gadgets and exotic locations, but Cary Fukunaga and the team of writers — including Phoebe Waller-Bridge, whose touch tones down the macho persona around Bond — make the beloved spy face his past, his present, and certainly his future.

But, for me, the main problem of the film is the villain. I mean, you don't need to practically name your main villain "Lucifer" to imply that he's bad. But, seriously, Safin's motivations never seem clear, neither as his goals, beyond the obvious.

Also, I wish they had explored more of Lashana Lynch's character. There was a lot of potential there, but I think she was underdeveloped.

Anyway, the main objective of this film was getting rid of the bad taste after the last one, and giving Craig a proper send-off. And I'm glad they did it. Letting go is hard, but not even Bond can't fight the passing of time.

I felt like from beginning - while it was a really really solid intro - to end this movie was a roller coaster in the worst possible way. There was no plot, too many characters, way too heavily based on romance and rushed for being a 2 hour and 43 minute runtime. Sam Mendes was a fantastic director - gave us some truly iconic shots of Bond. This just felt like a Fast and Furious/Jurassic Park (you’ll know when you see it) movie searching for an award. I’ve never been disappointed by Craig’s Bond - and while his performance never has and didn’t disappoint, they really did him a disservice by shoving every plot line/story/romance novel they could into this movie. Also, pick less of a douche-bag, more talented actor than the one that was picked to play Ash… he completely cheapened the movie. Sincerely, bitter and disappointed that Daniel’s franchise ended like that. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. No time to die is a fit end for the Daniel Craig era, doing justice to the story told over the last 4 films and finishing off Craig's bond arc. The action was top notch (the Ana De-Armas scene was especially kick-ass), I liked all the supporting cast (even ones I didn't like before like Leà Seydoux's Madeline Swann which was finally flashed out after being completely flat in Spectre). Lashana Lynch's character, Q and bond's daughter (she was so bloody cute) were the standouts for me among them. The soundtrack by the legendary Hans Zimmer is exciting and touching. You quite feel this is the end for bond in this movie, for example when Felix died which was really sad but showed that this group are at the end of their road.

the reason I think this is still a 9 and not a 10 like casino royale or Skyfall is because Rami Malek's Safin is quite weak and moustache twirly. His backstory is interesting and gives him depth but his reasons for what he does are really one-dimensional bad guy stuff. although I did like the scene where he gave bond a choice between him and his daughter, which was quite allegorical to bond's needing to choose between staying a cold-blooded robot killing machine, or finally become human again even tough it pains him after vesper's death.

Craig himself as always shines as bond and being my personal favorite . He has incredible depth and he is a really well-rounded character who you can relate too even tough he is freaking James Bond! Casino royale was the perfect origin story and it explained how bond became bond (becoming emotionally detached, a killing machine of sorts, and trusting nobody but himself after vesper's betrayal and tragic demise). That also perfectly explains why he ditched Madeline the minute after thinking she betrayed him, not wanting to repeat the past trauma of letting all his guards down and falling for someone who betrays him.

the last two movies wrap that story arc quite nicely by making bond trust people again and open up again thanks to his relationship with Madeline who helps him deal with his past trauma, forgive vesper, forgive himself and move on; and also now his daughter who makes him reconsider his priorities. The end for me was bittersweet. It was sad to see Craig's bond bite the dust after the amazing 15 year old run he had, but yet I felt content as I think bond was at peace in his demise. Knowing he was never going to be able to be with his family, but finally moving on and opening up again, having a family and a group of people who love and support him, making the sacrifice for them, and dying a meaningful death for the safety of the world. A satisfying sendoff to my favorite bond. You have left big shoes to fill and you will be missed.

Where the tough layer of the character was exaggerated in the previous films, it was just the opposite in this film. The whole thing was less over the top and the character was more human than before. The story starts a bit slowly but at the same time provides a solid foundation for the climax of the Daniel Craig series. The 'deadly weapon' in this film, which can be deployed by the 'human touch', is inventive which allows for more deeper way if storytelling. The only downside for me was that the antagonist Safin (although very good acting by Rami Malek) didn't have as much weight and impact as previous 'villians'. Nevertheless, it is a film not to be missed. Expand

I am a huge Bond fan and think Craig alongside Dalton (very underrated) is one of, if not the best Bonds. I gave it this rating as it is a mess of a bloated Bond movie with the very end of the movie leaving a very bad taste in my mouth which tainted the score massively (almost to a point 0 or 1 score). It's far too unorthodox and inspired by social-cultural fads. It has far, far too much emphasis on Craig and his departure than Bond and his never-ending quest/fight. The movie is convoluted, far too long and self-indulgent with a very insulting end to all Bond fans. As good as Craig is, he doesn't sum up Bond. He is not the all and end-all of Bond and this movie is not satisfying nor a send-off that Bond fans should get. Expand

After 18 months of waiting No Time to Die has finally made it onto the silver screen. The only question remaining is, was it worth the wait? I can assure all of you that absolutely yes it was worth the wait.

James Bond (Daniel Craig) is enjoying his retirement with Madeleine (Léa Seydoux). Despite having left active service, his old friend Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright) shows up asking for help. Bond is then led onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with the most dangerous technology in the world. A fitting end to Daniel Craig’s era of James Bond. All his movies have come together (not you Quantum of Solace) to form a great story arc with No Time to Die wrapping up all the loose ends. It’s also far more emotional than I thought it would be and that’s unexpected for a James Bond movie. Craig’s Bond movies did indeed make the character more human and brought the whole franchise to a level more grounded in reality. No ridiculously over the top gadgets or invisible cars. The action sequences and luxurious locations are everything you’d expect in a Bond movie and more. It also has a terrific movie score that calls back to previous Bond movies like On Her Majesty’s Secret Service and Casino Royale.

Daniel Craig raised the bar when it came to doing his own stunts to a point where the physical toll it’s taken on him was so bad we nearly almost didn’t get one last movie from him. I’m so glad he did decide to take on the role one more time. No Time to Die is a masterpiece, on the same level as Skyfall and further brings Bond away from the cheesy spy movies of the past. It’s also refreshing to see more women characters kicking ass and not just showing up in a bikini to look good for the camera. Lashana Lynch as a new 00 agent was a great addition to the already star studded cast. Ana de Armas was another great choice for a Bond girl and although she doesn’t have much screen time she made an impact. We all know these type of movies are only as good as their villains and Rami Malek is a terrifyingly eerie villain. Giving a scene stealing performance whenever he is on screen. Right I know this is the longest Bond film to date but despite that I didn’t feel this was overly long at all, there’s a lot packed into it. Compared to Spectre where by the time you’ve reached the third act you’re definitely feeling that it’s a long film. No Time to Die used every one of its 2 hours 43 minutes to entertain and pay homage to old school Bond movies.

Daniel Craig is without a doubt my favourite actor to play James Bond, and I’ll go so far as to say he is the best James Bond. His movies reinvented the character and brought new life into an otherwise jaded franchise. No Time to Die is definitely the perfect way to say farewell to Craig as Bond and I will miss him as 007. Whoever they choose to take on the character next has a tough job as the bar is very high and they have some big shoes to fill. The last 18 months has seen the cinema industry struggling greatly to get people back into cinemas and nothing says welcome back to the movies like a new James Bond film. Get yourselves to a cinema and enjoy, highly recommended.
