It isn't a classic. Not really a Bond movie. Felt emotionally draining and depressing to watch. Like a bad drama flick. Too bad, because Bond movies used too be great.

Whatever bozo in Hollywood that thought this was a good idea for a bond movie should be fired!
This movie should be called "how to kill a wonderful franchise and never make money again!

Woke people should just quit, all they touch turns to garbage, like this movie. The plot was boring and a hodgepodge of many other movies.

This wasnt James bond but some sad man pretending to be james bond to try to suck dollars out of the viewers.

The way this movie wraps-up the Daniel Craig era is frankly terrible in many aspects and shameful to long-term fans of the franchise. What started as an authentic Bond character that was quite personal with the audience in the sense that he was a human with flaws, weaknesses and bad judgement calls. However, the undefeatable superhero guise of Bond that began with Spectre continues here through the relentless quest to Marvel-ize every action movie to hit the cinema here on after. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Overall, the film is more of an strange homage to the Bond films, which deal with Bond's unusual subjects, than a typical Bond. Only the resulting plot diversity for a film is positive, but there is a lack of good ideas, interesting pictures, good actors, strong action sequences, interesting counterparts, espionage tension and humor. You'd think Hollywood is directing a Bond. With a hail of CGI rockets from the sky (wasn't it Iron Man?) The white British man is destroyed on the island. It's already praiseworthy that broccoli lets this go. maybe she's doing the world a favor and selling disney the rights so that James Bond can be completely messed up Expand

Convoluted baggage from past installments, overwrought love stories, Michael-Bay action scenes. Missing the cleverness, cat and mouse chase, and cloak and dagger of old. Almost as bad as when Timothy Dalton gets married in OHMSS.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This Bond film is a travesty, a betrayal of everything that Bond stood for: a cool, cerebral individual, with a wry sense of humor and a realistic view of power and women. His job was simple "to get the job done". Sex and women were part of saving the world, not sentimental objects, not attachments that could ultimately compromise the mission, and yes, Bond was given a mission and for him to succeed, he had to leave everything behind, including himself, that is he could not sentimental, pursuing women for love or having kids. James Bond was the prototypical cowboy hero, or like Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, heroes that saves us, not romantic leads, that can be left for a Nicholas Spark novel or a Spielberg movie. And let me just say a few words about story, which makes no sense, a hodgepodge, of no interest, a casting very wanting, in fact the whole movie, a real Bond movie is 5 minutes long: The Cuba scenes with Ana de Armas. That blew my mind and saved the money I paid for almost three hours of inanity. The rest is a jumble of bad action sequences, overuse of guns, silly violence, and explosions, uncalled for car chases, and the faceless assassins that crowds every action movies nowdays. Expand

(Mauro Lanari)
Like a full glass of water: overflowing but tasteless, colorless, odorless. It flows away very well precisely because it leaves no traces, memories, emotions. Nor one could hoped otherwise: the choice of Craig as the new Bond was a voluntary rip from tradition and old school action movie, when the irony acted as a Brechtian estrangement against the exaggerations of the stuntmen, and it was an irony coming even earlier from the faces of the protagonists (I am not referring only to Connery but also to Willis, Schwarzy, etc.) than from the lines invented by the screenwriters. Perhaps anthropologists will be able to explain to us this paradigmatic change that took place with the turn of the millennium: the hero/heroine, a long list of imaginary, fictional or cartoon characters, takes him/herself more and more seriously, the Craig, Neeson, Reeves, Theron, the X- Men and the protagonists of the MCU evince an unlikely process of humanization with increasing frequency, assuming neorealistic connotations as if they were a test for an increasingly immersive virtual reality. Could I have made better use of 2 hours and 43 minutes of my life? I would have liked to have tried, but by now the implosive cultural trend has been established taking root everywhere.

The writers of the post-woke (2014) Bond movies are so focused on pushing a political movement that they've turned them from entertaining action into soppy drama that leaves you unsatisfied when it ends, just as many propaganda movies do. This final ever Bond movie is woke, and exactly as President Trump said, "Everything woke turns to s**t." Expand

No time to die. Such a poor movie to end Daniel Craigs short 007 career. What can we say. Slow moving, minimal gadgets, no wit, poor dismal bad guys. I don't know who the target audience was for this movie but it wasn't die hard bond fans. Daniel Craig has to be the 2nd worse Bond after George Lazenby. Over the past few years Bond has been watered down in an effort to cater to the politically correct mob, the feminists and too bring out Bonds sensitive side. What a load of hog wash. Audiences of the past didn't go to see Bond movies for their romance angle. If you want romance and soppyness The Notebook is playing next door. Either give us back the Bond we know and love or let him die and be the end of it here and now. Ian Fleming must be turning in his grave right now. "Bond, please close the door on your way out"

This movie broke that covenant between audience and producer. I left the movie with a sick feeling in my stomach. In trying to be different, this movie became an art film. If you can tolerate the versions with George Lazenby or Timothy Dalton (which I think are unwatchable) you will be OK with this one. This is not Daniel Craig's fault it is Barbara Broccoli's fault. I went to the movie theater to see this movie... don't do that. Wait until you can see it for free and fast forward. They had two endings, they chose the worst possible one. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So many 10/10. Always fun to watch the 0 or 10 trying to push the score.

Anywhere here is my review:

There is nothing even remotely close to 10/10 perfect with this movie and neither is it a 0.
The movie does have some breathtaking scenes, good cinematography & there is some good action but you have to realize that this movie cost $250-301 million. The most expensive James Bond movie ever made to date.

My main problems with this movie is:

1. The James Bond brand has now gone completely woke. This movie has changed everything that made a James Bond movie and replaced it with the latest woke standards. If you want the details then I suggest you search the internet.

Warning MAJOR spoilers!!!!

2. It is way to obvious this is Daniel Craig's last appearance as Bond as the entire movie feels like they are cleaning house for the next iterations. They kill off major characters like Felix, Blofeld & even Bond himself dies in the end.

If you are a simple guy like me that enjoyed the old bond movies then stay away.

If you want to watch 2 hours 46 mins of an alternative woke universe Bond then this is for you. It´s a movie where almost everything that was Bond is changed according to the latest woke standards & where they clean house to be able to make some major changes in the future.

This was the last new James Bond movie that I will ever watch. While the movie does have it´s qualities it´s hard for it not to considering this is the most expensive Bond movie ever made. Sadly I feel this will be the Bond movie that not only killed off James Bond in the end but the entire franchise.

Characters were mostly forgettable apart from a few and the main villan was just boring and didn't look like or feel like a threat at all with that acting.

Every movie I've been waiting patiently for the franchise to return to it's roots. Every movie I've been disappointed. With this newest entry, I feel betrayed. Never in a million years would I have ever thought I'd see the day where a James Bond movie would show Bond being a d** and Bond being k*****. This latest movie is an insult to Ian Fleming, to all of the late-great actors to portray the character, and the fans. I couldn't care less were the franchise goes from here on out. They can cast whichever black, non-binary, overweight woman to play James Bond that they'd like; I won't be spending a single penny to see it. This is what this movie has effectively done to a die-hard Bond fan who watched his first Bond film (The Spy Who Loved Me) in first grade: black-pilled him. Expand

I gave it this rating as it is a mess of a bloated Bond movie with the very end of the movie leaving a very bad taste in my mouth which tainted the score massively (almost to a point 0 or 1 score). It's far too unorthodox and inspired by social-cultural fads. It has far, far too much emphasis on Craig and his departure than Bond and his never-ending quest/fight. The movie is convoluted, far too long and self-indulgent with a very insulting end to all Bond fans. As good as Craig is, he doesn't sum up Bond. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Film went off to a good start... then went downhill from there. It feels rushed, especially the last hour. A lot of characters crammed in with no real purpose. A long film drawn out with more unnecessary drama. Film lacked a style and purpose like previous bond films. The Villain was underused and was merely a side quest. The film mainly choosing to focus on bond's relationship with his wife and daughter, but it lacked real connection between the characters. Bond was more connected with vesper lynd... Blofeld's character was just made a mockery of and wasted off easily, why would you do this to Christoper Waltz?. The ending poison garden set was created almost as if it was meant to be a remake of 1962's Dr No, but took a turn during mid production (is this why Danny Boyle left?). The female 007 agent was again just another random addition/side character that had no purpose. Paloma's character was underused. If you want to treat bond as a side character, then do this... Have Paloma face off against Nomi and have Blofeld escape prison, reactivate spectre and fight against Safin competing against a plot to take over the world (or something similar). Hoping they learn lessons from this film and start to make something more like the connery, dalton and early craig years for true bond experience. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Political claws are deep in this one. You'll get to experience James Bond getting shut down by women (every man's fantasy,) getting shown up on the battlefield by young, less experienced female characters, and getting his codename taken. You'll marvel at the lame villain, dumb plot, and needless side characters. For a movie nearly 3 hours long they could have easily left out the Nomi character who exists only to bully the star of the series and shut down toxic men. For your hard earned money you'll get to walk out of the theatre feeling empty and unfulfilled at the terrible, ruthless, and pointless ending both to this film and to Daniel Craig's Bond. On the upside - Daniel's still got it, action scenes are pretty good, and visually it's quite beautiful in many scenes. Expand

It was a needlessly complex "Bond" film that made absolutely no sense. On second thought, I really wouldn't categorize this as a Bond film. It hopped, skipped and jumped around so much, with not an ounce of cohesiveness, it literally gave me a headache. I have no idea what critics saw in this homage to utter ridiculousness, but what I saw was an aimless, rambling disaster of a film that never found its footing, and never had me pulled into the storyline because there were literally too many of them, and all of them were left dangling. All that I could think about during this boring lifeless film is....WTF, make it stop, who in the Hell is that, who is he, who is she, where did they come from, oh no they didn't, what's the backstory on the "villain", why am I still sitting here for this hot mess, where's the booze and why did the "genius" Expand

The movie starts well with some nice Bond vibe and glamour, only to rapidly devolve in a nonsensical rollercoaster plot that leads from one chase and shootout to the next, with little to tie it all together.

My main criticism is directed at the writing. There was nothing explaining the motivations of the villains, no interesting personal interactions and no overarching plot. It's just a loose collection of scenes that make no sense in relation to each other. Supposed professionals act like unprofessional children. People change their minds on big issues at a whim.

The ending left me "yeah whatever". This franchise is dead, in more ways than one.

I went to see this with high expectations, perhaps unrealistically so. I have generally enjoyed Daniel Craig's iteration of Bond and had high hopes for this much delayed movie...
THUD!
Incoherent generic plot, long ponderous soapy melodrama regarding Bond's ludicrous zero-chemistry love interest, more plot holes than I care to recount and almost no nifty gadgets...
The movie is not completely rotten, there's a cool glider-thingy, some cool stunt-work before the opening titles and a nifty -if bonkers- bit of action in Cuba, featuring a pitch-perfect performance from Ana de Armas as Paloma.
So was this movie worth the wait?
NO! Time to die!

I felt like from beginning - while it was a really really solid intro - to end this movie was a roller coaster in the worst possible way. There was no plot, too many characters, way too heavily based on romance and rushed for being a 2 hour and 43 minute runtime. Sam Mendes was a fantastic director - gave us some truly iconic shots of Bond. This just felt like a Fast and Furious/Jurassic Park (you’ll know when you see it) movie searching for an award. I’ve never been disappointed by Craig’s Bond - and while his performance never has and didn’t disappoint, they really did him a disservice by shoving every plot line/story/romance novel they could into this movie. Also, pick less of a douche-bag, more talented actor than the one that was picked to play Ash… he completely cheapened the movie. Sincerely, bitter and disappointed that Daniel’s franchise ended like that. Expand

I'm afraid that after 44 years of watching 007 since The Spy Who Loved Me at the movies, aged 5, that I'm opting out of all future installments. No Time To Sigh is an absolute cinematic insult of seismic proportions! I'll stick with Bond from Dr. No through to Spectre (plus Never Say Never Again) forevermore. And even then, bad guy is dead, why not just redirect the missiles and fire another salvo once Bond is clear? These aren't dumb rockets that are fire and hope for the best. Absolutely lazy writing for nothing more than a shock emotional effect. Hope they return the the Connery / Brosnan bond going forward. Not sure why they killed him then immediately posted "Bond will return." at the end credits. Otherwise great movie but holy hell that was the worst ending in Bond history. Also the "nanobots are forever" deal was also equally dumb. Its a novel technology, you should be able to find a way to counteract it. The movie was well shot with a great story, but the ending robbed the entire experience. Woe be to the post modern masculine man. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Save your $ and your time. Because it's a crime to be a masculine man in the times we live in, Bond dies an unnecessary death. While alive, he takes a backseat to a ton of forgettable side characters (one of which takes his number as 007 for some reason). He also acts nothing like the Bond that the franchise has been presenting for 60 years, instead he's generic white male now. This is as bad as that new Double or Nothing book. There are holes so big in this plot, that the plot seems more like islands of story strung together. If you're a fan of the series, this does it no justice. Expand

Sure he talks with his blue eyes, but that's about it. Sean Connery and Roger Moore would say the coolest, smartest, wittiest things even pronouncing moneypenny so much better. You wanted to be Sean Connery or Roger Moore. You wanted to be in the exotic sets like Greece, a volcano, New Orleans, under the ocean, a snowy resort, etc. And no matter where he went, the hottest most attractive ladies would want to bang James. However these Daniel Craig ones are 100% anti-james bond. Dark gritty ugly unfunny unsmart unsexy. You do not want to be JB. A dirty dark london street, a dirty dark prison, a dark dreary forest, a dark dimly lit cuban bar? Nolan-like confusing fight scenes? This JB is pure garbage. SPOILERS: the new story is opposite of tradition JB. Apparently he's not a womanizer now. Maybe he's a dad? Maybe he likes plain girls now? Maybe he DOESN'T bang the hot sexy cuban lady. He visits exotic locations you DON'T want to go to. I'm sure JB learned how to cliff dive at some point in his training, so dont even try at the end. The 2 villains in this installment are boring AF. The only scene in the entire thing that anyone liked was the eyeball scene near the end. Bring back James Bond and make more 60s and 70s cold war era wit and fun movies. The era where you had to travel by foot instead of talking on a cellphone or reading blips on a computer screen saying the next plot point. I want to see a compound underneath easter island only accessible via a ferrari submarine and bang a girl named Easter Surprise. Expand

To start off with the good parts, the opening that portrays madeleine's tragic childhood and subsequent retirement with bond was well put together and I had hoped it would set the tone for the rest of the film.

Unfortunately barring a lovely bar-fight scene, the mid section thoroughly dissapoints, as it is filled with an overly sappy storyline, plenty of pandering, terrible writing and deus ex machina, Worst of all though its boring and just drags on and on.

I loved malek in both Queen and mr robot and I have to believe he has done the best with what he was given but the villain was so forgettable I cant remember his name without looking it up online one day after seeing it in the cinema.

I have no idea what movie most of the major critics have watched(though tbf metacritic gives a much lower score than any other site) but I have no idea how anyone in their right mind would give this an average of 8/10.

its a 3/10 for me, mostly for the opening(and that bar scene), a few good scenes do not a good movie make.
